Remove from microwave and stir. Microwave for an additional minute and stir again to melt these two ingredients completely. 2) Stir the shea butter and the cocoa butter into the melted beeswax/sweet almond oil mixture. Mix for 2 to 3 minutes and then add 6 drops of your bergamot essential oil (more or less according to your preference). 3) Pour the mixture into your push tubes or molds and allow them to set for at least one hour before moving or placing lids on them. At this point your lotion bars are ready to use and enjoy! Helpful Tips: • If your mixture becomes too lumpy at any point during the process, place it back in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir. • This is a great base recipe but know that you can alter the ingredients according to your personal preferences. Add cumin seeds, cayenne pepper, garam masala, and turmeric. Finish up with some salt and a pat of butter. Once your soup is boiling add diced onion, tomato and fresh grated ginger root to the mix. How to Make Tassels

03:43
How to make tassels using crochet thread. ___ SUBSCRIBE to Robert's channel: http://bit.ly/CraftedWithRobert ___ How to Make Tassels   Materials: Crochet thread (size 3)*   Tools: Sharp scissors Small clip board** Comb Clear tape   *Source for crochet thread: http://www.joann.com/aunt-lydia-s-fashion-crochet-thread-/prd37909.html#q=crochet+thread&start=7 **Source for small clip board: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/982134/Office-Depot-Brand-100percent-Recycled-Wood/   Directions: 1. Place the loose end of your crochet thread under the clip on the clip board and begin wrapping it lengthwise around the clip board - about 50 times.   When you're finished wrapping, cut the crochet thread. 2. Cut a separate piece of crochet thread, about 12 inches in length, slide it under the crochet threads wrapped around the clip board and slide it down to the bottom of the clip board (opposite the clip end).  Tie a loose knot. 3. Gently slide all of the wrapped crochet thread off of the clip board.  Tighten the loose knot you created in the previous step and then double-knot it.  The tails of this knot will be the threads you use to hang the tassel. 4. Hold the tassel up by the hanging threads, smooth the fibers down and then cut through the bottom loop with sharp scissors.  Using a hair comb, comb through the fibers to smooth, straighten and untangle them. 5. Place the hanging threads under the clip on the clip board.  Cut a separate piece of crochet thread 2-3 feet in length.  Place this under the tassel on the clip board about an inch from the top of the tassel.  Position this piece of crochet thread so that the side that extends to the left of the tassel is slightly longer than the tassel itself -- we'll refer to this as the short end. 6. Tie a tight knot around the tassel, creating the top of the cuff that will hold the tassel fibers together.  After tying the knot, allow the short end to hang down as part of the tassel and then slowly and tightly begin wrapping the long end around and down the tassel.  You can create a cuff and long or short as you'd like -- the cuff created in the video was wrapped about 6 times.  When you're finished wrapping tie another tight knot allowing the tail to hang down with the other tassel fibers. 7. Again comb through the tassel fibers with a hair comb to smooth, straighten and untangle them. 8. To trim the bottom of the tassel and create an even cut, take a piece of clear tape and wrap it around the entire tassel at the point you'd like to trim.  Cut right through the wrapped tape with a pair of sharp scissors.  Remove the excess tape, shake out the tassel and trim any uneven fibers. Helpful Tips: • Place your ball of crochet thread in a bowl while you're wrapping your clip board.  This will prevent it from jumping all over your work surface and leaping from the table! • Experiment with all types of fibers when creating tassels -- yarn, sewing thread, embroidery floss, ribbon! ___ CONNECT WITH KIN COMMUNITY Subscribe here: http://bit.ly/MKYoureInvited Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KinCommunity Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/kincommunity Twitter: https://twitter.com/kincommunity Instagram: https://instagram.com/kincommunity Snapchat: http://bit.ly/AddKin Your source for new skills, new stuff, and new perspectives related to the most important place in the world, Home. How to Make Edible Teacups | Kin Community

03:12
Get more KIN PARENTS tips & advice: http://bit.ly/KinParents For ingredients from this recipe, visit http://rdy.cr/b5583e. Sure to impress the guests at your kiddos next tea party - these sweet teacups are completely edible! Our Kin Parents Producer Robert Mahar suggest waiting to fill the cups with pudding until shortly before serving to prevent the cones from becoming soggy. Adorable and delicious! Find more of Robert's work at http://www.maharcraft.tumblr.com. Helpful note! To avoid breakage when making the cups, pick them up by their cookie 'saucer' bases and not the pretzel handles. Ingredients: wafer/cake ice cream cones round cookies chocolate covered round pretzels decorator icing instant pudding meringue swirls Instructions: 1. Cut away the base of a wafer ice cream cone using a sharp serrated knife. Use a gentle sawing motion to create a clean cut line. 2. Pipe a line of icing along the cut base of the cone top. Press onto a round cookie. This gives the appearance of a cup and saucer. 3. Slice off a small portion of a chocolate covered round pretzel. Use icing to adhere the cut pretzel to the side of cone. This becomes the cup handle. 4. Prepare instant pudding with cold milk. Spoon into cups. 5. Top each cup with a meringue swirl.

Note that you can make these bags as large or as small as you'd like! Fold your fabric in half and iron the fold flat -- this will create the bottom edge of your bag. Then fold each short end over 1" and iron those folds flat -- this will create the channels for your drawstrings. Cut two 12" pieces of cording for your drawstrings. Open up one of the ironed folds and lay one piece of cording over the fold. Run a thin bead of fabric glue along the very edge of the flap, using a ruler if you'd like to help control the mess, and then fold the flap shut. Gently run your finger along the glued seam to remove any excess glue. Repeat this step with the second ironed fold. This seals shut the two channels for your drawstrings. Run a thin bead of glue along the long edges of the bag, again using a ruler if you'd like to help control the mess. Fold the two halves of the bag together, gently running your finger along the glued seams to remove any excess glue. This seals shut the two sides of the favor bag. Allow the glue to dry for two hours. Once the glue is dry, tie the drawstrings together on both sides of the bag. To create a monogram on the front of the bag, begin by inserting a piece of waxed paper into the favor bag -- this will prevent you from inadvertently gluing the two halves together. Draw or trace a monogram lightly onto one side of the bag. Trace over your lines with a thin bead of tacky glue. Cut a piece of cording and press over the glue lines. Allow to dry completely before filling the bags with goodies! Helpful Tips: Get creative with your fabric and cording selections! I used linen and polyester cording from the hardware store. In addition to creating monograms on the face of the bags consider creating simple decorative elements like stripes or curlicues. When creating the fine glue lines for your monograms, it's often helpful to transfer your glue from its regular squeeze bottle into one with a fine dispensing tip!

Unroll 2-3 arm lengths of crepe paper streamer. Begin with the largest of the trinkets and begin wrapping it with the streamer. Once the trinket is completely wrapped, tape the end. 2. Continuing wrapping with a new color crepe paper streamer, slowing forming a ball shape. Add additional trinkets and change streamer colors as you'd like, building up the ball until it is approximately the size of a baseball. 3. When all of the trinkets have been wrapped into the ball, add 2 -- 3 additional layers/colors of streamers. When applying these final layers gently adding tension as you wrap, stretching the crepe paper and creating a smoother outer surface. 4. You can stop at this point or optionally wrap the exterior with strips of 1" wide strips cut from crepe paper folds, which tends to be a finer quality giving a nice finish to the surprise balls. 5. The surprise balls can be decorated in a variety of ways: • Leave them a solid color and wrap bow around them with satin ribbon. • Create a pattern of overlapping stripes with strips cut from various color crepe paper. • Decorate the exterior to look like a person, animal or object 6. Consider adding a cleverly worded tag to your finished surprise ball, directing the recipient to unravel it and find the goodies inside! Helpful Tips: • Keep your surprise ball trinkets small! And it's helpful to have a few flat items to wrap into the last few layers of the ball. For extra fun, add confetti as you wrap the ball! • Depending on the size and variety of goodies you wrap into your surprise ball, it is very unlikely that you will end up with a perfectly spherical ball...and that's ok! Gently stretching the crepe paper as you apply the final layers will help create a smoother surface, but extra lumpy surprise balls can always be disguised with a bow! • Surprise balls make fun party favors and can also double as place cards when you add a tag. Consider coordinating the colors and contents of your surprise balls to the theme of your party/event.

Depending on the paint you select, multiple coats may be needed for complete coverage. When you're finished, set the clothespin into one of the doll stands to dry. 2) Paint one of the doll stands to resemble shoes. To create socks, wrap a piece of painter's tape around the pin, about an inch from the bottom -- paint the lower portion to resemble socks and remove the painter's tape when the paint is dry. 3) Create arms by either drilling a small hole through the upper portion of the clothespin and sliding a piece of pipe cleaner through OR take a longer piece of pipe cleaner, wrap it around the clothespin and glue it into place. 4) Create a simple circle dress by cutting a round piece of fabric roughly 5 ½" in diameter. Fold the fabric into quarters and snip off the point creating a hole that you can slip down over the top of the clothespin. The dress can be affixed to the clothespin using glue OR take a needle and thread and sew a running stitch around the hole, slip it down over the top of the clothespin and pull the thread tight, cinch it up tight and then tie it off. Cover the top of the dress with a piece of ribbon, gluing it in place. 5) Create simple tops, pants and shorts using strips of fabric. Cut the strips to the desired width and glue them directly onto the clothespin. 6) When all of your painted and glued elements are dry, assemble your dolls by pressing the painted heads down onto the dressed clothespins and then pressing the base of the clothespins into the painted shoe stands. Helpful Tips: -You can use small wood beads and balls as accessories or to build on the dolls. In the video I used wood beads to create the look of pigtails -- gluing them onto the head and allowing them to dry before painting on the hair. -Have fun creating your clothespin doll characters! They can be made to resemble family members, friends, characters from books or your imagination!
