Antibacterial Products: More Harm Than Good?

02:59
By Heidi Hatch(KUTV) Many of us look to antibacterial products to keep our families safe and healthy. However, antibacterial products may do more harm than good. The FDA is weighing the risks verses benefits of antibacterial products carrying the chemical triclosan. Although, this has been a topic of debate for decades, the FDA is now saying they are nearing a final decision on whether products in the U.S. can continue to use the chemical. The stepped up urgency has come in recent years with tests indicating the chemical could be a carcinogen, could wreak havoc on the immune system and interrupt the work of the thyroid gland that controls your body€™s hormones. Triclosan is most commonly used in antibacterial soaps that line store shelves, but is also found in other products, including deodorants, body-wash, clothes, toys, laundry soap, and toothpaste. Joshua Redd, a chiropractic physician, is one of a growing number of doctors and activists concerned about what triclosan can do to the body. Redd says a new study on the chemical is, €œpretty alarming, showing decreased heart function by 25% and muscle function by 18%€ when triclosan is introduced to lab animals. The European Union banned triclosan in most of its products years ago over concerns that have been widely reported on for decades. Redd explains, €œOur thyroid hormones are crucial and with triclosan mimicking your thyroid hormones it can cause a slew of different problems in the endocrine system.€ He says it can cause €œearly onset of puberty, and problems with testosterone, estrogen and the reproductive system.€ Nixon was president when the FDA started reviewing the chemical. In 1972, Congress asked the FDA to officially investigate the safety of triclosan. Six years later, the FDA published its first tentative guidelines, saying triclosan is not generally recognized as safe and effective, Flash forward 40 years and studies show triclosan is no better than old fashioned soap and water for cleaning your hands, but at the same time could be creating antibiotic resistant germs. The only thing triclosan has ever been approved for is toothpaste. Colgate uses it in some of their products to fight gingivitis. While it can help in preventing gingivitis, some doctors wonder if it could do more damage as it is easily taken into the blood stream through the mouth. A recent study shows 75% of Americans test positive for the chemical in their urine, as well as in the breast milk of nursing mothers. As for the slew of concerning studies there is one significant problem€”most of the studies have been done on animals as opposed to humans. Dr. Dev Abraham, an endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid cancer at the University of Utah, points out that €œin animal models the dose of compounds is often hundreds to thousands higher than what we are exposed to on a day to day basis as humans.€ Making the connection he says, at this point, may be a leap. He is waiting for a clear ruling from the FDA, but until then, he tells his patients, €œIf you€™re not sure, and concerned, the best thing is to buy is plain soap.€If you want to check the products you use at home, look on the back. Soaps and cleaning products will list triclosan as an active ingredient. In clothes and toys it will be listed as an €œanti-microbial€ product or under the chemical name microban. Because the chemical is used in many products, it also makes its way into ground water where it becomes a chemical known as dioxin€”a cancer causing agent. The FDA has committed to making a decision in the next few months. And while they are looking at science, you can be sure there are large multi-million and billion dollar companies urging them to rule in their favor. Antibacterial products are big sellers and huge money makers that could cost companies who use them. Here€™s what the FDA has said to date: http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm205999.htmMayo Clinic response: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/triclosan/AN02141(Copyright 2013 Sinclair Broadcasting Group)

Don't Buy Products Containing the Anti-Bacterial Triclosan

09:07
Triclosan is the anti-bacterial ingredient in over 2000 products from hand sanitizer to children’s toys. It messes with the hormones in our bodies and has been banned in the E.U. and in the U.S., but American manufacturers still have time to get it out of products. In the mean time, we consumers have to be on the lookout to not buy products containing Triclosan. But the good news is that washing well with soap and water is just as effective as using anti-bacterial products. And hand sanitizer gels containing at least 60% alcohol, and not containing Triclosan, are considered safe.

Some of the things we see so commonly around us in everyday life are actually rare commodities in other countries. These soaps are considered bad for the skin, and are apparently only used to clean certain animals abroad. It is openly sold in India as a regular soap for humans however. Over 30 companies caught illegally manufacturing and distributing toxic chemicals

01:41
가습기 살균제 성분 'PHMG' 불법 유통…대기업 등 33곳 적발 The environment ministry has found more than 30 companies that have been making and distributing a chemical known to be harmful to humans when inhaled -- the same substance that caused the deaths of hundreds of people in Korea who used it in their dehumidifiers. But the ministry has confirmed the chemical was not used in products that could be breathed in. Kim Hyo-sun reports. The Ministry of Environment announced Tuesday that 33 local companies have been caught illegally manufacturing, importing and selling the same chemical responsible for the death of more than 200 people in Korea in a toxic humidifier disinfectant scandal that gripped the nation last year. The ministry said the companies, even including major conglomerates, have been manufacturing and distributing polyhexamethylene guanidine, or PHMG, a toxic substance that has been banned by the government in the production of household products. The companies were found to have manufactured and distributed at least 295 tons of PHMG,... which were used to make fabric treatment products and antibacterial plastic materials. The environment ministry confirmed that the substance was not used to make products like humidifier disinfectants that could be inhaled by people. However, the ministry sent dozens of staff members from the manufacturing companies including CEOs to the local prosecutor,... in breach of the Chemicals Control Act. While PHMG can be deadly when inhaled, the ministry added that low concentrations of the substance in fabric treatment products, to which people only have skin contact is not detrimental to human health. Soaps and toothpastes may be behind the antibiotic-resistance crisis

04:01
Soaps and toothpastes may be behind the antibiotic-resistance crisis, new research suggests. Triclosan, a chemical found in many everyday products, stops infections responding to the drugs, an Australian study found. The chemical, which has been linked to reduced heart health and an underactive thyroid, is thought to get washed into the environment via sinks in people's homes. Experts have previously warned antibiotic resistance poses 'as big a risk as terrorism'. A lack of new drugs combined with overprescribing is thought to have driven antibiotic resistance, which, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 'has the potential to affect anyone, of any age, in any country.' The researchers, from the University of Queensland, exposed E.coli to triclosan for 30 days in the lab. Results suggest triclosan causes E.coli's genes to mutate, leading to the bacteria showing greater antibiotic resistance. Lead author Dr Jianhua Guo said: 'These chemicals are used in much larger quantities at an everyday level, so you end up with high residual levels in the wider environment, which can induce multi-drug resistance. 'This discovery provides strong evidence that the triclosan found in personal care products that we use daily is accelerating the spread of antibiotic resistance.' The findings were published in the journal Environment International. Triclosan is a chemical that is added to many personal-care products to prevent bacterial contaimination. It is added to antibacterial soaps, body washes, toothpastes and cosmetics, as well as some clothing, furniture and toys. Studies suggest triclosan decreases the production of certain thyroid hormones and has been linked to reduced muscle function. Triclosan was banned in soaps in the US two years ago. No such ban exists in the UK. The US drug-regulating body the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared antibacterial soaps containing triclosan are no more effective than hot water and regular cleansers at killing bugs. How serious is the antibiotic resistance crisis? Professor Sean Brady, from The Rockefeller University, New York, said: 'Despite the wide availability of antibiotics, infectious diseases remain a leading cause of death worldwide. 'In the absence of new therapies, mortality rates due to untreatable infections are predicted to rise more than tenfold by 2050.' The WHO has also classified antimicrobial resistance as a 'serious threat' to every region of the world. Penicillin, the first and most famous antibiotic, was discovered by the Scottish microbiologist Alexander Fleming in 1928. Fleming's discovery allowed doctors to treat and cure infected patients, saving millions of lives. Yet, less than a century after Fleming's discovery, there are precious few antibiotics left and many superbugs are already resistant to all of them. Figures suggest up to 50,000 people die each year due to antibiotic-resistant infections in Europe and the US alone. Globally, at least 700,000 people pass away annually due to antibiotic-resistance complications from illnesses such as malaria, AIDS and tuberculosis.

What's in your creams nails polishes, makeup, and perfume? Do you check for product ingredients or buy for the packaging, color or smell? Learn to read your ingredients, the websites that would give you information. Learn about comedogenic mineral oil and clogging of skin pores. Test demonstration of the effect of the mineral oil as a preservative. FDA, EPA, OSHA and MSDS (material safety data sheet), and why are they important. Most nail polishes have formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP, which are banned in Europe. Some products have up to 10 percent of cancer causing formaldehyde. Haircolors may contain Paraphenylenediamine that could cause allergy reactions and cancer if it gets into open sores. Per S. Wilhelm, no federal law has been passes to regulate cosmetics since 1938. To find out if the product you are using is safe, go to the FDA website. Some products could be recalled; if so, FDA will state it on its site. Are triclosan and phthalates safe ingredients in your every day use cosmetics and personal care products? According to research done by Wilhelm; triclosan can help create the superbug. Why do you have to request an MSDS sheet from a product company that you order cosmetics from fro your salon? How much lipstick do women swallow in their lifetime: about five pounds. Ever wonder what is carmine; it is a red color taken from the blood of a beadle that lives on a cactus. Do you need bug blood in your cream? Yellow dye #5 is under investigation for causing hypersensitivity in small children. Learn about parabens in shampoos. Some ingredients in shampoos and frequent use of them could cause contact dermatitis on hairdresser's skin. Research MEA, DEA, TEA ingredients and their harmful toxic effects on skin and health. Learn about mineral oil versus essential oils. In Europe a doctor prescribes essential oils. Hydroquinone is used to whiten the skin, but can cause sensitivity to sunrays, so does Vitamin E: avoid sun exposure. Chemical used by Colgate Total toothpaste to fight off gum disease is linked to cancer

01:41
FACEBOOK-https://www.facebook.com/newsdailymail?fref=ts A chemical that has been linked to cancer cell growth is being used by millions of Americans in toothpaste every day, it has emerged. The company behind Colgate Total insists that triclosan, which it uses to stave off gum disease, is safe to use because the toothpaste was approved in 1997 by the Food and Drug Administration But the toxicology documents used by the FDA to approve the toothpaste were only released early this year after a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit last year - and reveal the agency relied upon company-backed science to reach its conclusion, Bloomberg News reported In 2010, a student linked triclosan, which has commonly been used to reduce bacteria contamination, to reduced fertility in mice and a 2013 study linked it to lowered sperm production in rats. And a study from 2003 found triclosan in the urine of 75 per cent of 2,517 Americans - including children - who were tested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 'We have created a system where we are testing these chemicals out on the human population,' scientist Thomas Zoeller told Bloomberg. 'I love the idea they are all safe. But when we have studies on animals that suggest otherwise, I think we're taking a huge risk.' 'In the nearly 18 years that Colgate Total has been on the market in the U.S., there has been no signal of a safety issue from adverse-event reports,' spokesman Thomas DiPiazza told Bloomberg. He added that, while the FDA had been worried about the chemical's carcinogenicity, a study in 1997 found it did not pose a cancer risk for humans. Colgate said it has no plans to reformulate Total toothpaste. The FDA said on its website that triclosan is 'not known' to be dangerous to humans - but the results found in animals has given them enough of a reason to run tests again. Drug regulators are now reviewing the dangers of the chemical, but they will only re-visit the approval of Total if they find a great enough reason to. In a sign of the concern over the chemical, Minnesota lawmakers banned the chemical in May. Avon and Johnson & Johnson have also announced plans to cut the chemical from its products. In 2010, the European Union banned triclosan in materials that come into contact with food

You can read the details below, but the FDA is basically saying that none of these ingredients clean your hands any better than plain old soap and water. The FDA did not ban triclosan from toothpaste, but you can easily check whether your toothpaste has it by checking the ingredients label. Triclosan would be listed under “Active Ingredients” in the “Drug Facts” box on the back of the package. Most toothpastes don’t have triclosan, so you can choose to brush without it if you’d like. http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm517478.htm http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm378393.htm http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/07/well/live/why-your-toothpaste-has-triclosan.html?_r=0 About Ingredients: Join MIT-trained chemist and science educator George Zaidan as he tries to recreate everyday household products like toothpaste, lipstick, or shaving cream using only natural ingredients… and no recipe! Do you know that we apply hundreds of carcinogen and other health hazardous chemicals on your body through everyday cosmetic use, 60% of which are absorbed and retain in your body? Based on Environmental Working Group, June 2004 survey women use an average of 12 personal care products a day containing about 180 chemicals whereas men use an average of 6 products containing about 85 chemicals. In 2003, the European Union banned from cosmetics approximately 1,400 chemicals that are known or highly suspected of causing cancer, genetic mutation or birth defects; whereas the U.S. has banned only eight. Today, more than 500 products sold in the U.S. contain ingredients banned in cosmetics in Japan, Canada or the European Union. Surprisingly FDA's legal authority over cosmetics is different from other products regulated by the agency, such as drugs, biologics, and medical devices. Cosmetic products and ingredients are not subject to FDA pre-market approval authority, with the exception of color additives. Moreover, FDA can't require that all the chemicals in cosmetics are disclosed to consumers, and the agency can't even require product recalls. It's time to bring the policy and laws into the action to save our generations from unknowingly hazardous chemical exposure. For the first time in more than 70 years (after Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act of 1938) , the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that will shift the beauty industry away from hazardous chemicals. The Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act of 2013 (H.R. 1385), introduced on March 21, 2013 by Reps. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill. and Ed Markey, D-Mass., is designed to give the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authority to ensure that personal care products are free of harmful ingredients and that ingredients are fully disclosed. In the meantime, you can be in charge of your own health by using less cosmetic stuff less often, choosing products with shorter ingredient lists and fewer hazardous synthetic chemicals , avoiding fragrance, reading the labels carefully and understanding their chemical risk, and last but not the least using products that are safe, sustainable and source organic ingredients, especially USDA Organic products.

Lilleborg Zalo Ultra Dishwashing Detergent

15-30% anionic surfactants. 5-15% no-nionic surfactants. atmospheric surfactants. Dishwashing detergents for dishwashers are manufactured and marketed variously as cartridges, gel, liquids, pacs, powder, and tablets. Any dishwashing liquid may contain bleach, enzymes, or rinsing aids. Some dishwashing detergents may be homemade, using ingredients such as borax, essential oil, eucalyptus oil and grated bar soap, among others. The main ingredient is water, whilst the main active ingredients are detergents. There are other thickening and stabilizing agents. Other ingredients may include surfactants, hydrotrope, salts, preservatives, fragrances, and dyes. Surfactants remove grease and stuck food particles. They may also provide foam. Some dishwashing detergents may contain phosphorus, an ingredient which at least two states within the United States have limited use in dishwashing detergent. According to the Washington Post, phosphorus keeps "minerals from interfering with the cleaning process and prevent food particles from depositing again on dishes." According to Time magazine, "One reason detergent makers have been using large amounts of phosphorus is that it binds with dirt and keeps it suspended in water, allowing the other cleaning agents to do their best work. Phosphorus is especially important in regions with hard water because the presence of lots of minerals can interfere with cleaning agents." Phosphorus that runs into freshwater lakes and rivers can cause algal blooms. Phosphate-free detergent reduces the amount of phosphate wastewater treatment plants must clean up. In the 21st century phosphates began to be reduced in percentage terms as an ingredient, leading to a New York Times report that said "low- or phosphate-free dishwasher detergents it tested, including those from environmentally friendly product lines that have been on the market for years, none matched the performance of products with phosphates". In 2010, the United States FDA raised health concerns over triclosan, an antibacterial substance used in some dish liquids. Elsewhere, triclosan has been found to create problems at wastewater treatment plants, whereby it can "sabotage some sludge-processing microbes and promote drug resistance in others." The United States FDA has found that triclosan provides no health benefits over soap and water. As of 2014, at least one state within the United States has banned triclosan in dishwashing liquids. Many dishwashing liquids contain perfume which can cause irritant or allergic contact dermatitis

Endocrine disruptors: regulation urgently needed at the EU level

02:30
Endocrine disruptors are substances that interfere with human hormones. We are all exposed to them on a daily basis through products such as food packaging, clothing, cosmetics and children's toys. This is why the European Parliament has been working on measures to prevent any harm derived from these substances for several years. When the issue was brought to the EU Court of Justice by Sweden, the court ruled that the European Commission failed in meeting the deadline to identify and ban potentially harmful endocrine disruptors. And yet there is still no plan to speed up this process. Today the Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament called on the Commission to take up its responsibilities. Interview with S&D Member Gilles Pargneaux and Jytte Guteland as well as with Dr. Roberto Bertollini, Chief Scientist at the WHO.

Antibiotic Resistance & Trans-Atlantic Trade - Congressional Briefing 5/30/14

01:05:03
Why Trans-Atlantic Trade Must Play a Role in Addressing Antibiotic Resistance The World Health Organization has warned that antibiotic resistance could bring about "an end to modern medicine as we know it," and that, if current trends continue, "[t]hings as common as strep throat or a child's scratched knee could once again kill." The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that resistant bacteria cause at least 2 million infections and 23,000 deaths in the U.S. each year. Antibiotic resistance is spurred by antibiotic misuse in all sectors, including human medicine. But 80 percent of antibiotics sold in the U.S. are used to produce food animals, not to treat sick people. They are fed to food animals to compensate for overcrowding and poor sanitation at the operations where most of these animals are produced—a practice known as "disease prevention"—and to promote animal growth. These uses promote the development of antibiotic resistance—and place public health at risk. Despite this, the Food and Drug Administration has dithered. The agency released voluntary guidelines that ask drug companies to take small steps while allowing them to keep selling antibiotics for disease prevention. In contrast, the European Union has banned the use of antibiotics for growth promotion since 2006 and requires veterinarians to oversee their use. Many EU countries have gone further—Denmark and Germany closely monitor antibiotic use and intervene when use is excessive. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), which currently is under negotiation, aims to remove non-tariff barriers to U.S.-EU trade by harmonizing regulations, especially for agricultural products. There is deep concern among public health leaders that the EU's progress in ending antibiotic misuse could be undermined by TTIP in the name of promoting trade. It is imperative that the Congress reject any treaty and associated legislation that would roll back these critical protections. Presentators Lance Price, PhD Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University. Dr. Price is among the foremost experts on antibiotic resistance in the United States and is a former Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future-Lerner Fellow. The National Food Institute is one of the world's leading centers for research on antibiotic resistance. Previously, Dr. Schlundt was Director of the Department of Food Safety and Zoonoses at the World Health Organization in Geneva from 1999 to 2010. Fukushima disaster radiation still contaminating water

All areas within 20 kilometres of the site were closed off after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. That cordon will now shrink and be replaced with a series of graded restrictions, depending on annual radiation levels. FDA bans import of feces-tainted cilantro

01:05
The Food and Drug Administration is banning imports of some fresh cilantro from Puebla, Mexico, after a government investigation found human feces and toilet paper in growing fields there. The FDA said health authorities in Texas and Wisconsin also suspect cilantro from the region is responsible for more illnesses this year. The investigation also found dirty containers that had held cilantro and, at one firm, water that tested positive for the cyclospora parasite that caused the stomach illnesses. The summer ban will continue in future years unless a company can prove to health authorities that its product is safe.Of course, the news probably won't affect cilantro-haters who rebel against the tiny leaf for evolutionary reasons, as the New York Times wrote in 2010.

The 10 Best Herbs For Detox

01:27
http://NaturalHealthAnswers.biz The 10 Best Herbs For Detox People in developed countries such as Europe and the USA are in need of body detoxification more than you might suspect. Many of the foods we eat are loaded with preservatives and many vegetables are grown outside of the country with pesticides that aren't really healthy for you. The air we breathe and our general environment is also filled with toxins. There are many ways to detoxify the body, including eating detoxifying foods, fasting for several days and using herbal detoxifiers. Herbs are some of the most medicinally useful and wonderful plants in nature. They have been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and are still widely used in modern times for a variety of ailments and health conditions. If you like the idea of using herbs that naturally detoxify the body, you should look at the following list of herbal remedies that have a long history of effectiveness against body toxins. One note: you can't use herbs to counteract the effects of a bad diet. You need to eat healthy, unprocessed foods to add to the detoxifying herbs. Many of these herbs have been shown to detoxify the body for thousands of years, primarily in Chinese medical circles. They have been used in many different cultures all over the world. Some have had research studies to back up their effectiveness in managing many different symptoms. These are the herbs you should try: - Dandelion. The entire dandelion plant is a detoxifying herb. It helps keep the body hydrated and is used to regulate the bowels. The root is especially good for detoxifying the liver. Some herbalists feel that dandelion is also excellent for enhancing the effectiveness of the immune system. - Milk thistle. This herb has been used for more than two millennia to help the gallbladder function better. Bile is produced in a greater amount and this helps digestion. The liver is also helped with organic milk thistle. Our gut and the rest of the body is detoxified to a greater extent when we digest better. - Acacia gum. This is a product made from the sap of an acacia tree and has been in use for centuries as an agent against diarrheal symptoms. It bulks up the stool and helps improve the absorption of electrolytes. It is sometimes added to other herbal remedies to help them work better. - Wormwood. Because it was used to make absinthe, Wormwood has relatively recently been reinstituted into the United States after a brief ban. In medical folklore, it has been found to help digest foods better, while ridding the body of infections from worms like pinworms and roundworms. - Cilantro. Cilantro is one herb that can be sprinkled in salads and sauces to be used for detoxifying the body. It especially rids the body of toxic heavy metals found as contaminants in food and water. Breaking News - FDA restricts sale of controversial birth control implant Essure

03:45
The FDA has restricted the sale of the implanted birth control Essure after women claimed they were left suicidal and in crippling pain from the device.Germany-based manufacturer Bayer insists that the benefit or risk profile of Essure had not changed and remained positive - despite it being pulled from every other market outside the US.In early 2016, the FDA slapped the strongest safety warning label on the device following thousands of complaints, and asked Bayer to conduct a post-market study.Concerns around the device included abdominal pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and device migration.Essure, approved by US regulators in 2002, is a non-surgical and non-hormonal permanent birth control device. The controversy surrounding the device, which has escalated rapidly, has led to protests in the streets outside medical conferences. It was temporarily suspended in the EU in August last year and hospitals in the UK were urged to avoid using the devices.Bayer, which manufactures the controversial implant, pulled the product from the market completely. It is only available in the US.However, the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products in Saint-Denis, data showed that it didn't work for 4.8 percent of patients. The risk was just 0.69 percent for laparoscopic surgery, according to the study that was led by Dr Kim Bouillon.Essure implants can be placed into women in less than 15 minutes, making them an ideal option for surgeons before evidence began to mount over their dangers.More than 15,000 women have reported complications from their Essure in the US to the FDA, including pain, allergic reactions and 'migration of device'.The NHS does not have figures for the total number of women who have been fitted with Essure or those who have had it removed. And the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has previously been criticized for failing to respond to the evidence surrounding the device's risk. Red Potatoe a GMO???

02:57
INTRO: Edited April 1 2012: We got bigger problems folks link this. When you are done watching this clip below re: The Obama Martial Law Executive Order to effect all countries in some way...issued St. Patty's Day weekend when no one would be watching tv 2012. Look up chemtrails if your not on that bandwagon. Eat greens and boycott fastfood joints. Peace and Love.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myPENDAJdE0 INTRO: I was going to fry up some (non organic) red potatoes (in olive oil) for dinner. When I cut open the potatoe, I couldn't believe my eyes. I still decided to cook them - despite their appearance (as many ppl people ignore "red flags". I'm sure these potatoes were injected with red dye in order to make them Look Appealing. Their appearance changed slightly but the unusualness of the potatoes was still visible. Red rings inside the red potatoe...very weird and unusual! HOW COULD ANYONE EAT FOOD LIKE THIS AND NOT BE WORRIED OR CONCERNED? I wasn't planning on eating them after the sure visible signs of sound reasons to not eat them but despite my mind being made up A friend came over and also agreed these potatoes did not look right, so we definitely didn't eat them. I can't stand that OUR FOOD is such a major health concern not being addressed. The laws are too loose and need to be changed. Election agendas need to include, THE IMPORTANCE OF FOOD INGREDIENT LABELLING BEING ACCURATE AND IN FULL DETAIL FOR CONSUMERS TO BE ABLE TO TRUST WHAT WE ARE CONSUMING IS ACCURATELY REPRESENTED ON THE LABEL. LAWS FORCE GARMENT MAKERS TO LABEL EXACTLY WHAT CONTENTS ARE IN THE GARMENT THAT WE WEAR BUT NOT PROTECTING OUR FOOD WE CONSUME ?!? Ask yourself: What are the aluminium and barium levels (chem trails), what about red dye (which is banned in over 40 countries)? and what about sulphites (always in bold if you stop looking at the calorie label and start reading the INGREDIENTS label) and sodium lauryl sulphate etc!?! Educate yourself skin is the largest organ we have we are putting chemicals on from store bought shampoo's, conditions, body wash soap etc read the ingredients in children's bubble baths and shampoos!!!! Go organic and protect your family. Indoor air pollution at home and in the workplace is an issue to. Check out Himalayan Salt lamps, and Plants that reduce indoor toxins!!! OUTRO: Talk to Your city council about what we can do to protect our rights to be informed of what we are consuming, food labelling "natural" is not organic!!!! We have the right to know how many chemicals are being used to make up "parfum or fragrance" and are in our foods and our personal hygiene products we pay alot of money for and it poisoning us slowly. Even maxi pads and tampons have chlorine in them...google it!! *****PLEASE UPLOAD YOUR VIDEOS OF YOUR UNUSUAL FOOD HAPPENINGS.*** Stay tuned...we are the generation that can either change this or watch as GMO's are and have been transforming the food industry. And companies labelling their foods "Without GMO's" are now being sued. -- Censorship at it's best folks! Have you google'd or you tubed what gmo foods look like? If you think these red potatoes are weird.....weird that may soon be the new normal If you don't think that's weird then shut up!!! Right!?! Cheers and goodwill to man and woman kind! ;) CHOOSE LIFE WITHOUT CHEMICALS! ONLY EAT ORGANIC POTATOES THEY ARE A ROOT LEGUME AND RECEIVE FUNGICIDE AND PESTICIDE.
