Benadryl which is the trade name of Diphenhydramine is antihistamine and antiemetic mainly used to treat allergies, itchiness, common cold, insomnia, nausea, motion sickness, and extrapyramidal symptoms. It is one of the most common over the counter drug which is used for a number of reasons like allergic respiratory disease, cough, pruritus, itching, allergic reactions to insect bites, bee stings, runny nose and eyes, squeezing, motion sickness, mild sedation and vaccination reactions but usually administering it to your dog for allergies is not recommended. Although you can give Benadryl to your dog but it is not the ideal option as is specifically formulated keeping the human system in mind, it would be better if you opt for a drug specially formulated for canines like Apoquel. The average dosage for oral Benadryl is 1 mg for per pound of dog, given 2-3 times a day. Most drug store diphenhydramine tablets are 25 mg, which is used to treat a 25 pound dog. Also, check the Benadryl tablets you give to your dog only contains the ingredient diphenhydramine as many formulations contain some other ingredients like acetaminophen or alcohol that are toxic for dogs. Insulin Resistance & Potassium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1AOt... Dr. Berg talks about restless legs syndrome (RLS) and what to do about it. There are 2 main causes, one is a vitamin B1 deficiency due to lactic acidosis, and the second cause being a potassium deficiency. Dr. Berg then talks about insulin resistance and how this alone will keep your potassium from being absorbed. So the cause may be dietary but it may be an insulin problem. The other problem is stomach acid - if you do not have the acid in your stomach, you will not be able to absorb potassium from that alone. Potassium Citrate is a good remedy. Nitrous Oxide: What You Need To Know

Nitrous oxide is a very common inhalational anesthetic that offers analgesia, anxiolysis, and sometimes amnesia. It's a colorless, non-flammable gas with a slightly sweet taste. Due to its euphoric and hysterical effects, the substance is also called "laughing gas." It's been a recreational drug since the late 1700s and is currently one of the most common inhalants. N2O is also used in the food and automobile industries, such as in whipped cream canisters and as an engine booster. There are some mechanistic effects that make the gas concerning when large amounts are used. 20 Medications That Cause Memory Loss

04:32
Beware: 20 Medications That Cause Memory Loss Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Studies have shown that more than 100,000 people die due to prescription drugs annually, and their side-effects lead o hospitalization of around 1.5 million people. Namely, one explanation for this is the fact that numerous drugs are approved before their patent runs out, so they are not properly tested and result in numerous issues among the public. Some of these medications have serious side-effects and affect the brain tissue and lead to memory loss. These drugs which lead to severe cognitive problems are divided into three categories, as follows: 1. Statin drugs. Many studies have shown that cholesterol-lowering drugs lead to memory loss. Moreover, the FDA has recently started to recommend monitoring of the use of these medications. The use of these drugs lead to an inability to focus, and the person thinks that he/she has forgotten something. 2. Sleeping pills. These medications lead to short- term and long-term memory loss. According to research, all kinds of sleeping pills impair memory and performance to a certain extent. Namely, they suppress the action potentials of various brain cells and lower out vigilance, judgment, and alertness. Some of these pills may even cause a state like “blacking out”, which occurs when a person has damaged brain cells due to uncontrolled use of alcohol and cannot remember things that have happened. 3. The ”Anti” drugs. Anti-drugs are all medications which start with “anti-“, like antidepressants, antibiotics, antipsychotics, antispasmodics, antihypertensives, antihistamines, etc. These drugs are the ones that are most harmful in terms of your memory, as they inhibit the activity of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is responsible for the cognitive function and memory. However, numerous drugs of this kind can be easily found over the counter, so if taken in inappropriate doses, they can lead to even more complicated health issues. The following 20 medications lead to memory loss: Drugs for high blood pressure. Painkillers: heroin, morphine, codeine. Lithium. Antihistamines. Methyldopa. For Parkinson’s - glycopyrrolate, atropine, or scopolamine. Sleeping pills. Insulin. Naproxen. Steroids. Chemotherapy drugs. Antibiotics. Drugs for epilepsy- Dilantin and phenytoin. Quinidine. Antidepressants. The use of the medications listed above may cause various symptoms of memory loss, like: Difficulties with following directions. Asking same questions more times. Mood swings and changes in behavior. Getting lost. Forgetting words. In case you have experienced some of these signs frequently, you should consult your doctor in order to change your treatment. These side-effects are temporary, so if you change the therapy on time, you will experience no long-term effects, and these symptoms will fade away as soon as you quit using these medications. However, the best way to stay away from these medications or get off them faster is to start leading a healthy lifestyle and eat a balanced diet, high in brain-boosting nutrients, and be active and positive! ================================= healthy zone, health, healthy, short term memory loss, memory loss, memory loss icd 10, memory loss disease, movies about memory loss, long term memory loss, depression memory loss, what causes memory loss, reasons for memory loss, alcohol memory loss, memory loss test, types of memory loss, memory loss causes, memory loss medication, memory loss symptoms, memory loss due to alcohol, headache memory loss, memory loss drugs Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

Dr.Gorden T. Mcmurry MD :Mucinex use

02:56
Medication for sinus drainage, expectorants and guiafenisen products Mucus and saliva secretions are a normal part of human physiology and must be present for the normal mechanisms of swallowing and talking. They are also important for humidifying the air we breathe to protect our lungs. When these secretions remain thin and slippery, everything works well. These secretions cleanse your airway because as they are produced and swallowed, they carry along the dust and dirt that you breathe into your airway. Exposure to cigarette smoke stops this cleaning of your lungs. You can see the effects if you see a picture of a smokers lungs with black lines between where the ribs were where the soot and junk collected. You normally make a very astounding amount of mucus and saliva in your nose, sinuses, mouth, throat and lungs daily. When you complain of "sinus drainage" it is usually when you have allergies, flu or a bad cold or when you are somewhat dehydrated and your normal secretions have become thick and glue-like and thus sticky. Guiafenesin is a product used in many brands of cold remedies because of its ability to thin upper and lower airway secretions. If you have significant allergies, a bad cold or any other illness that causes increased thick mucus secretions in your nose, sinuses, throat and lungs, then you know how bothersome this problem can be. One the problems associated with use of guiafenesin is that the effective dose is very close to its toxic dose. Nausea and vomiting may occur with therapeutic doses. Guiafenesin also known as glyceryl guaiacolate, is chemically very closely related to certain drugs used to induce vomiting which explains this problem. However, if you do not take the therapeutic amount for your weight and size, you are wasting you money. You should take guiafenesin with some food in order to lessen these possible side effects. For an adult, the effective dose is 1200 mg twice daily. There are combinations of guiafenesin with decongestants to help open your nasal passages and help you breathe. However, if you have high blood pressure it may be best to avoid this combination unless allowed by your physician. Another combination form of guiafenesin is with a cough suppressant such as dextromethorphan. This can be helpful, especially for a persistent night time cough. Many prescription and over the counter medications also contain antihistamines in addition to guiafenesin. Antihistamines may be very drying and may make your airway secretions even thicker when you have allergies or a bad cold. Cetirizine and diphenhydramine containing products are especially bad in this regard. Fexofenadine and loratadine containing products are much less prone to these problems. Guiafenesin works by increasing the amount of water in your mucus secretions. Therefore, it is very important that you drink at least 8, 8oz. glasses of water or other non-caffeinated liquids each day, if you are to see any benefits from the use of guiafenesin.

How to Know If Your Medicine Is Making You Fat

02:34
Watch more Know Your Medications videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/395668-How-to-Know-If-Your-Medicine-Is-Making-You-Fat Learn which drugs are most likely to make you gain weight, and what to do to avoid packing on the pounds. Warning Never stop taking a prescription drug without consulting your doctor. Step 1: Switch migraine meds Consider switching from migraine medicine with valproic acid, which can make you eat more, to other migraine medicines that are less likely to increase your appetite, such as sumatriptan. Step 2: Know steroids make you eat Know that steroids prescribed for chronic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis or asthma, can cause a voracious appetite. In some cases, your doctor may be able to switch you to prescription-strength, non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs that don't have this side effect. Tip If you aren't able to switch, consider a nutritionist to help you decrease your calories or personal trainer to help you increase the calories you burn each day. Step 3: See a psychiatrist See a psychiatrist instead of a family doctor if you're on antidepressants or antipsychotic drugs that may negatively affect your mood and appetite, leading to weight gain. They may be able to suggest drugs that are less likely to cause you to overeat. Step 4: Suspect estrogen Suspect estrogen for those extra 5 pounds you've packed on if you take birth control pills, which may cause you to retain water. Consider switching to a low-estrogen pill or another form of birth control that doesn't involve hormones, such as an intrauterine device, or IUD. Tip Hormone replacement therapy may also cause weight gain. Step 5: Know endocrine drugs Know that certain medications for diabetes or thyroid conditions may either cause weight gain or inhibit weight loss. Ask your doctor for alternatives to find the right medication for you. Step 6: Look at allergy drugs and sleep aids Look at allergy drugs, cold medicines, pain medicines, and sleep aids that contain diphenhydramine. This energy-sapping ingredient may make you less active, causing weight gain. Ask your physician about non-sedating alternatives. Tip Some blood pressure drugs and heartburn medications may cause weight gain. Step 7: Keep a food and exercise journal Keep a food and exercise journal if you started a new medication and have gained 5 or more pounds in one month. If you're not eating more or exercising less, take the journal to your doctor to find out if your medication is to blame. Did You Know? A study by the Pennington Biomedical Research Center found that weight gain associated with common antidiabetic medications could be significantly reduced by taking chromium picolinate.

Causes of ed - Are The Meds You Take Harming Your Erections

05:31
Get it in: http://bit.ly/2sR8D41 Are The Meds You Take Harming Your Erections? There are a stunning variety of things that can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction (ED). Some are psychological. Others still though, are medicines your doctor may have prescribed to you in order to treat other health conditions you may have. . Read on, and if you see anything on this list that you’re currently taking, consult your doctor to see if there might be an alternative that might accomplish the same goal, but without the ED-related side-effects. Blood Pressure Medications This is the big one. If you have high blood pressure, which is quite common among people with CAD (Coronary Artery Disease), then you’re almost certainly on some kind of blood pressure medication. The problem with these medications is that they work perhaps a bit too well. As your blood pressure drops, it becomes correspondingly more difficult to get and maintain an erection. Antidepressants There are more than a dozen antidepressants that can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. This can be a tricky issue to resolve, because depression itself can cause the condition, and the drugs they give you for it can make it worse. Talk to your doctor. There may be an alternative you can try, but the best bet would be to find a way to treat your depression that doesn’t call for a prescription. Of course, this is not always possible. In any case, don’t just stop taking your medication. Always seek the advice of a medical professional. Antihistamines Allergies are no fun. They can make life pure misery. Of course, an inability to have sex can also make your life pretty miserable, so again, this one is something of a two-edged sword. Fortunately, there are lots of pretty effective ways to mitigate, or even eliminate allergy symptoms, so this may be something you can cure naturally and slowly wean yourself off of your allergy medicine. Honey, from a local source near where you live, for instance, is a great way boost allergy immunity. Note that honey does carry some health risks for young children, so again, this is not a decision you want to make on your own and without a consultation from your doctor. Non-Steroidal, Anti-Inflammatory Drugs Pain killers like Naproxen and Indocin can often make ED worse. These drugs will seldom actually cause the condition, but if you’ve already got it, you’ll notice a big difference when taking them. Note that muscle relaxants like Flexeril and Norflex are also big contributors, but in these cases, they can actually cause erectile dysfunction in some men. Antiarrythmics If you take a drug called Disopyramide (also known as Norpace), it could make your ED worse, and can, in some cases, cause it. Histamine H2 Receptor Antagonists These are medicines like Tagamet, Axid, and Zantac. If you take any of these for stomach or digestive issues, they could worsen your ED. These medications will seldom actually cause the condition, however. Medications For the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease Almost all of the major medications currently in use to treat Parkinson’s Disease, including Biperiden, Benztropine, Trihexyphenidyl, Procyclidine, Bromocriptine, Levodopa, and their generic equivalents can frequently cause erectile dysfunction. There are few alternatives here, so in these cases, you may be forced to take ED medications to help offset the effects of these drugs on your sexual performance but again, always check with your doctor before making any decisions about that. The pace of advancement in the medical industry is blinding, and there may be some new or emerging treatment options available. Prostate Cancer Medications If you take Flutamide, Eulexin, Leuprolide, or Lupron, you’re probably going to notice problems with your sexual performance. If you had ED before taking these, it will almost certainly worsen the condition. Note that this is also true of chemotherapy drugs like Busulfan, Myleran, Cyclophosphamide, and Cytoxan. These drugs are absolutely critical to your health, however, so it’s unlikely that you’ll have many options here, save for seeing if your doctor can recommend an ED medication in addition to these. As you can see, the sad reality is that there are numerous drugs for serious medical conditions that either contribute to the worsening of ED, or that can cause it outright. Moreover, many cases of hives are idiopathic, meaning that there is no known cause for the condition. Baking Soda Baking soda is another popular remedy for hives. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation as well as itching. Home Remedies for Hives | Allergic reaction hives 2015 Add one-half to one cup of baking soda to a bathtub filled with warm water. Mix it in well and then soak in this water for 20 to 30 minutes. Alternatively, put two tablespoons of baking soda in a small bowl. Add enough water to make a thick paste. Spread the paste on the affected area. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. You can use either of these remedies once daily or as needed. Angioedema. Swollen face, swollen lips. Never had this before.

00:33
Put this video up hoping it will help others to become aware what the symptoms of angioedema are and that it could happen to anyone. As we age our bodies break down and medications which someone may have taken for years without a problem, could be a problem later on down the road. I was really frightened and had no idea what was causing this to happen. I wore a mask on my way to the hospital so as not to have others stare at my swelling. So this is happening right now, March 1, 2012. Great way to start the month. Woke up at 4 am with my left bottom corner lip a little swollen, took a Claritin. Then woke up again with intense swelling and took a bendryl. Then finally called the doctor and met with him at noon because the swelling just grew more, I didn't even think it was possible. The doctor says my swelling is called angioedema and my body is reacting to an ACE inhibitor medication. The ACE inhibitor is found in drugs used to control high blood pressure, which I take Lysinopril. I was then injected with Kenalog 40mg, which is a type of steroid to counteract with the histamine in my body. I was also injected with Dephendramine 25mg, which is a type of Benadryl. He injected a small dosage of Dephendramine since I drove myself to the hospital. Next steps are I am to take Benadryl every 4-6 hours. If the swelling doesn't go down by tomorrow, doctor says I have to go to ER and have large amounts of a different type of steroid put into me along with other meds. As of right now the swelling is considered severe. So far swelling has not gone down. I told the doctor it is really odd I am having this reaction since I have had this medication for 6 years, I don't take it everyday, yet I never have reacted like this before. He said as we age our bodies break down and right now my body cannot handle the medication. Going back to sleep and praying it will go down. I'm thinking the swelling should decrease once the lysinopril leaves my body. UPDATE as of March 4, 2012. I have healed and it took 4 days to heal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow me on: http://www.etsy.com/people/LuckyYogi Twitter @ http://twitter.com/#!/TheLuckyYogi Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/TheLuckyYogi YouTube @ http://www.youtube.com/user/LuckyYogi

DRY EYES , 7 Medications That Can Cause Dry Eyes. COMMON MEDICATIONS THAT CAUSE DRY EYE ARE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS CAUSING YOUR DRY EYE SYMPTOMS? Surveys estimate that 4 in 5 American’s take one or more prescription medications a day. Medications that contain an exhausting list of potential side effects including the common symptoms of dry eye disease; itchy, burning, dry, red eyes. Is it possible one of your prescription drugs be causing your dry eye symptoms? Below we are going to explore the four types of prescription medications that are commonly known to cause or contribute to dry eye symptoms. ANTIHISTAMINES & NASAL DECONGESTANT SPRAYS Antihistamines are used as a common treatment for allergy and cold symptoms. Some of the most common types of antihistamines include Allegra, Benadryl, and Claritin. While these medicines are effective for relieving sinus pressure and nasal congestion, they also reduce the tear film keeping our eyes hydrated, causing dryness and redness. If you need to use antihistamines or nasal decongestant spray, and find yourself experiencing dry eye symptoms, add Moist Heat Therapy to your treatment regimen. BLOOD PRESSURE-LOWERING DRUGS WebMD recently reported that nearly 30% of Americans have high blood pressure. This is an alarming number of individuals potentially taking Diuretics, Beta Blockers, and other blood pressure-lowering drugs. These medications are intended to remove excess water and sodium from your body—and by doing so—reduce the stimulus to the tear glands causing dryness and inflammation. If you believe blood pressure medication could be causing your dry eye symptoms, try applying a warm eye compress 1-2 times a day to encourage natural tear production and reduce inflammation. ANTIDEPRESSANT & PARKINSON’S MEDICATIONS Any prescription medication with a nerve-inhibiting quality has the potential to cause dry eye symptoms. Antidepressants, Psychosis, and Parkinson’s Medications block the transmission of certain nerve impulses and can intercept signals from the brain to produce tears and keep eye adequately hydrated. Patients using these medications and experiencing the symptoms of dry eye can add Moist Heat Therapy to their daily routines to stimulate natural tear production and moisture dry, itchy eyes. HORMONE REPLACEMENT AND ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES One study found that women taking a hormone replacement, particularly, estrogen, are significantly more likely to experience the symptoms of dry eye. While the correlation between hormones and dry eye remains unclear, it is statistically more likely that women taking these types of medications will develop the early symptoms dry eye disease. Moist Heat Therapy can help relieve pain and discomfort caused by dry, itchy eyes.

Watch: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivQE7ZCPiAo) Causes of Low Blood Pressure, You Must to Know How to Heal a Swollen Lip at Home Even if your lip swelled due to an injury, it is vulnerable to infection while it is healing. Keep any swollen lip clean and manage the swelling with cold and warm compresses. If you don't know what caused the swelling, or you suspect an allergic reaction or infection, visit the doctor right away. -Clean the area. While your lip is swollen and sore, it is vulnerable to injury. Sponge it with water gently, several times a day or whenever it gets dirty. Do not pick at it or wipe it. -Apply cold on the day of the injury. Wrap ice in a towel, or use an ice pack from the freezer. Place it gently on your swollen lip. This will reduce swelling for a recent injury. After the first few hours, cold is not typically effective, except to relieve pain. -Switch to warm compresses. After the initial swelling is done, warmth may encourage healing. Heat water until hot, but still cool enough to touch. Dip a towel in the water, then wring out the excess. Hold it to your lips for 10 minutes. Repeat once an hour, several times a day or until swelling reverses. -Take over the counter painkillers. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are medications that decrease pain and swelling. The most common over-the-counter variants are acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and naproxen. -Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated and avoid further cracking or swelling. -Protect your lips with lip balm or chap stick. Hypersensitivity Type 1 2 3 4, Urticaria Anaphylaxis Immune Complexes I II III IV

12:52
http://www.stomponstep1.com/hypersensitivity-type-1-2-3-4-urticaria-anaphylaxis-immune-complexes-i-ii-iii-iv SKIP AHEAD: 0:26 – Definition of Hypersensitivity 1:12 – Mnemonic for remembering the 4 types 2:58 – Type I (Type 1) HS 6:48 – Anaphylactic Shock 7:45 – Type II (Type 2) HS 8:57 – Type III (Type 3) HS and Immune Complexes 10:29 – Type IV (Type 4) HS Hypersensitivity is when an otherwise healthy immune system has an undesirable exaggerated response to a foreign substance (or perceived foreign substance) that damages the body’s own cells. These are the same immune processes that are necessary to prevent infection, but they create problems when they are hyperactive or misguided. The way I remember the four different types of hypersensitivity is my ABCD mnemonic. I = Allergic Anaphylaxis and Atopy II = antiBody III = immune Complex IV = Delayed * Types I, II and III all can involve antibodies. Therefore, having antibody in the mnemonic for type II may be confusing. However, the “classic” role of antibody involving complement activation, NK cell activation and opsonization are part of Type II which is why I feel that is the simplest way to remember it. Type I Hypersensitivity is triggered by an innocuous foreign substance (like dust, pollen or animal dander) that would cause no problems in the majority of people. The antigen simultaneously binds more than one membrane bound IgE on a mast cell (or basophil). This process, called Crosslinking, triggers the release of mast cell granules full of histamine. Histamine then goes on to signal the various changes associated with allergies similar to how it functions during acute inflammation. This allergic reaction happens almost instantly and the symptoms can become evident within minutes. This is possible because the mast cells are Pre-Sensitized to the innocuous substance which means they have pre-formed membrane bound IgE that recognizes the particular innocuous antigen. To be pre-sensitized the immune system must have seen the antigen previously, because antibody (IgE) formation takes time. Histamine’s role in Type I Hypersensitivity is why Anti-Histamines (Histamine Antagonists) like Diphenhydramine or Loratidine can control some allergy symptoms. Type I Hypersensitivity is the process that leads to various different “allergies”. A more mild form would include Allergic Rhinitis (seasonal allergies) that cause things like coughing, sneezing, watery eyes and nasal congestion. Some individuals with these allergies also experience an atopic rash referred to as Urticaria (Hives) or Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema). This red rash is raised and pruritic (itchy). Through a similar mechanism Type I Hypersensitivity can lead to exacerbation of Allergic Asthma by environmental triggers. This type of hypersensitivity is also the mechanism behind more serious conditions like peanut or bee sting allergies that can lead to swelling of the lips/tongue/throat, shortness of breath, stridor, and anaphylactic shock. Anaphylatic shock is a life threatening condition in which systemic histamine directed inflammation causes hypotension via global vasodilation, an increase in vascular permeability and significant fluid movement into the tissue. It is treated with epinephrine, often in the form of an “Epi Pen” when outside of a medical setting. Epinephrine activates Alpha-1 Adrenergic Receptors to raise blood pressure via vasoconstriction and increased contractility of the heart. Type II Hypersensitivity is the process by which IgG or IgM binds to a cell to cause injury or death (Antibody Dependent Cytotoxicity). This process has the same mechanism of action as normal humoral immunity except it is targeted at the body’s own cells instead of pathogens. The variable region of the antibody binds to the host cell while the constant portion interacts with NK cells, complement and macrophages. Examples of this reaction can be seen in Rheumatic Fever (body’s own cell look similar to Strep Pyo), Goodpasture Syndrome (Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane Antibodies) and Hemolytic Disease of Newborns/Erythroblastosis Fetalis (when a Rh- mother has a second Rh+ child and the maternal IgG targets fetal RBCs). Can antihistamines decrease my milk supply?

01:07
You wanted to know about antihistamines and if they truly affect milk supply. And some antihistamines contain pseudoephedrine, which is a decongestant like Claritin-D or Allegra-D. And pseudoephedrine has been shown to decrease milk supply for some mothers, especially those who are already struggling with milk supply - it might just tip them over the edge. There are also studies to show that some mothers who took it weren't affected at all. So I, first of all, recommend talking with your doctor, and they'll be able to tell you what would be best to take. And if they do say that it's okay to take it, don't take it long-term, just take it short-term (as long as you absolutely have to), and take measures to boost milk supply at the same time. So drink lots of water, nurse or pump more frequently to stimulate your body more, and hopefully that will compensate for any decrease that your body may have due to the medication. If you have more questions for me in the future, feel free to ask them on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/IntermountainMoms, and recommend us to your friends and family too.

Here's More Evidence That Common Drugs May Cause Cognition Issues - Newsy

01:11
Transcript: Taking pills to tame your allergy symptoms or to get some sleep may not be as harmless as you once thought. Building on past research, a new study suggests anticholinergic drugs are linked to cognitive impairment and an increased risk of dementia. Anticholinergic drugs include both over-the-counter and prescription medications. We're talking about drugs like Benadryl, Dimetapp and Unisom — chances are you have at least one of these types of drugs in your medicine cabinet. A link between these types of drugs and cognitive impairment isn't a totally new discovery, but for the first time, researchers used brain imaging techniques to determine the physical changes associated with these drugs. More than 400 participants, with an average age of 73, were given memory and cognitive tests, PET scans and MRI scans. Participants who were taking anticholinergic drugs didn't do as well on memory tests and had lower levels of brain activity than those who weren't. A researcher told CNN, "Given all the research evidence, physicians might want to consider alternatives to anticholinergic medications, if available, when working with older patients." Why I Stopped Taking Kratom | “Is it truly safe?” (EDUCATIONAL)

Kratom used to be one of my valued allies - but I was wrong about it, and it’s time someone who’s not afraid of criticism irons out the dangerous misinformation people pass as fact. The intent of this video is to clear up common misconceptions and share my own personal experiences. What is true for one, is not true for all. Furthermore, I am NOT against kratom for those who need it. However, the information we have been sharing about this compound needs to be accurate and people need to stop propagating dangerous misinformation for the safety of everyone. 7 Surprising Things That Can Kick You Out of Ketosis

05:13
Survey Question: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-sur... Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about the 7 Surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis: 1. Stress 2. Excessive caffeine 3. Bone broth and whey protein (and even L-Glutamine 4. MSG (monosodium glutamate) hidden in lots of foods – sauces 5. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccharine) 6. Excess protein 7. Keto-friendly deserts (excessive xylitol) Hey guys, I want to create an important video on this 7 surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis. You may know the typical things like sugar and refined carbohydrates but these are the things that you may not know that are important. Stress can kick you out of ketosis because stress activates a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is the main adrenal hormone that adapts the body to stress. So any type of stress, shock to the system, surgery, trauma, allergies and even the loss of the love ones can activate stress, stress in your job or relationship stress could actually knock you out of ketosis. Next one is the excessive caffeine, one cup of coffee is not going to do anything but if you are doing coffee or tea all day long with caffeine too much of that can activate adrenaline which can then activate insulin. Bone broth in large quantities, a little bit of bone broth is not going to be an issue, I’m talking about protein. Protein can bump you out. I am not too concerned about bone broth, even when you are fasting it may knock you out a little bit but it is a very small amounts. Whey proteins is one of the top proteins, because it is a low fat and is a high protein that will stimulate insulin and knock you out with ketosis. L-Glutamine, people take that for their digestive system and they can get irritable bowel syndrome, it is a protein and can knock you out in ketosis. I am not concerned about you taking that because it really helps you in a certain ways, it is not going to put weight on but the only reason that I’m bringing it up is if you test yourself and all of the sudden it knocks you out, don’t be concerned if that’s what doing it, it is a temporary thing but it will knock you out. And then we have MSG, Monosodium glutamate another name for that is modified food starch. It is in so many foods, it is easy to avoid if you are shopping but it is very hard to avoid if you are going out to restaurants because they have it in the sauces, dressings, in some of the flavor enhancers, any food that just taste too good typically has MSG on it especially if it is a fast-food restaurant. The next one, artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Splenda - that has actual dextrin, saccharine and Maltodextrin. From New Jersey - Research conducted by pharmacy-benefit manager Medco shows that the number of adults between 20 and 44 years of age using cholesterol and blood pressure medications has significantly increased. Those on cholesterol lowering drugs increased 68% over a 5 year period and those on anti-hypertensives increased by 21%. From the UK - Preliminary results from a 4-year EU study show that organic foods are better than non-organically produced ones. The results showed that organic fruits and vegetables had 40% more antioxidants and organic milk had 60% more antioxidants and healthy fats. Eating organic foods is equivalent to eating an extra serving of fruits or vegetables per day. From Belgium - An out of body experience occurs when a person perceives that they have left the body and may be accompanied by seeing the body from an elevated position. Commonly known to occur during near-death experiences, it can happen with migraine and epilepsy. Brain stimulation of the temporoparietal region in a patient with intractable tinnitus resulted in repeated episodes of out-of-body experiences. And finally from New York - A mother is launching a $25 million lawsuit against the hospital and city in which her 12 year old son died of MRSA. The boy was seen in the ER two days before his unfortunate death and was given Benadryl, a medicine used for allergies. For Insidermedicine in 60, I'm Dr. Susan Sharma.
