The research is in. Here are four proven reasons why you should take advantage of the health and fitness benefits of whole-body training. Get Jim Stoppani's Favorite Supplements ► http://bbcom.me/2hsvTRr Shortcut to Shred Training Program ► http://bbcom.me/2hr78VE Whole-body training, aka full-body training, refers to training every muscle group in one workout, rather than training them separately. Split-style training has been a staple of the bodybuilding community for years. With splits, you can lift more volume per individual muscle groups, but you sacrifice frequency. Whole-body training involves less volume per body part per workout, but each muscle group gets worked more frequently. Frequency, as it turns out, is the way to go. Here are four reasons why I think you should switch to whole-body training. 1. Greater Fat Loss Research shows whole-body training can improve fat loss over typical split-style training. In one study, individuals who performed whole-body workouts three times per week lost more body fat than those who were following a typical split-style training program. Whole-body training appears to influence fat loss through gene activation—my area of study while at Yale School of Medicine. Gene activation is critical for determining training outcomes, be it muscle growth or fat loss. Whole-body training instigates gene activity to keep metabolic processes revved up in every single muscle, an effect that lasts all day long. Your body essentially burns more fat and carbs for fuel throughout the day with whole-body training. 2. Greater Muscle Mass In the same study, the whole-body training group gained slightly more muscle mass than the split training group. One possible reason: Whole-body subjects showed improved testosterone-to-cortisol ratios. The higher your testosterone is and the lower your cortisol is, the more anabolic you are. Activating this ideal anabolic ratio through frequent whole-body training maximizes potential muscle-protein synthesis, leading to greater muscle growth. 3. This represents a sea change among exercise scientists, who used to recommend beginners use whole-body training because it allows more frequency for training the motor system and nervous system—the main changes a newbie sees in the first few weeks of training. Now it appears the greater frequency of whole-body training may be of greater benefit to experienced lifters seeking to improve their strength gains. 4. Greater Overall Health By activating genes in every muscle fiber every single day, whole-body training keeps metabolic processes firing, which plays a role in helping to prevent the onset of various metabolic diseases. Emotional triggers can be ANYTHING that causes extreme emotional responses in us. Triggers keep us stuck repeating cycles of the past and gaining control over them can liberate us and help us get unstuck. Triggers can come out of nowhere and cause us to spiral down rabbit holes. They make us feel powerless and cause us to react in a defensive way. If we can get out ahead of our triggers, some of us might be able to reduce our sensitivity to triggers and gain some emotional control over past reactive behaviors. 1) Identify what triggers you ahead of time before you are triggered and make a list 2) When triggered, reorient yourself to time and space and identify what is happening as a symptom of being triggered 3) After the trigger has occurred, talk to your Amygdala and remind yourself that even though you may consciously recognize the trigger, the fact is your body may still be reacting to stress hormones. AWARENESS of what is happening in your body and WHY is the key! I so hope this video helps you feel less out of control regarding triggers. You do some research and you get a whole bunch of what you think is great diet advice. A few weeks go by you lose some weight, you plateau, and you gain it back. Sound familiar? Well that's not the way that it has to be. In today's video I'll be discussing the 5 worst diet mistakes for weight loss and fat loss. These are in no particular order in fact I think the 5th mistake is actually the biggest mistake of all. By avoiding these common mistakes you increase the chances that your diet plan and your weight loss plan turns out extremely successful. The First mistake is one that we've all heard of before. going from 0 to 100 by cutting calories too drastically. This is one of the most common mistakes preventing people from burning fat and keeping it off. People will all too often go from eating whatever they want to a very restrictive diet plan. Now the problem with this isn't the nonsense that you typically hear about your metabolism shutting down. Reducing calories by as much as 40 to 45 percent from maintenance will make you lose weight very fast. And yes your metabolism will slow down but your metabolism will also slow down no matter what diet plan you do even if you were to do the most perfect and balanced diet plan in the world. In order to prevent starvation your body naturally will respond to any diet plan by slowing your metabolism down. Even if you reduce your calories by 500 a day your metabolism will still slow down. And then when you end the diet plan and resume eating normally as we've seen in the Minnesota starvation study your metabolism goes right back to normal levels. The problem with very restrictive dieting models is that they're unsustainable for the long run and eventually your bodies starvation mechanisms will take over and cause a round of binge eating. The binge eating is what makes you gain the weight back and sometimes even more weight than you originally lost. Its not a slow metabolism it's binge eating and what's interesting is that some studies identify that your body will continue sending you impulses to binge eat long after a diets over, again due to natural starvation mechanisms. The solution is typically to avoid restrictive diets at all costs. However the problem is not the restrictive diet. You can lose a lot of weight fast with a more restrictive dieting model and then transition to a more flexible dieting model with no problems at all. Therefore the solution is to have a long-term plan. Even if that long-term plan has a couple weeks of being restrictive it's fine as long as you eventually transition to something that's more applicable for the rest of your life. Any aggressive fat loss plan should have a limit of around four to six weeks before you transition. The second worst mistake is when you transition to that more long-term diet plan you cut out certain food groups. For example you cut out all carbs or all fats and you believe that you're going to be able to stick to that for the rest of your life. When you tell yourself not to think of a purple elephant what's the first thing that you think of? Even though a restrictive diet approach can work very well over a set period of time like 4 to 6 weeks it's not going to be effective to restrict certain food groups for the rest of your life because it's only going to make you crave those food groups even more eventually leading to a binge. And when you do binge due to the fact that you know that you're not allowed to eat that certain food it makes you eat a lot more of it in one sitting because you know you're going to go right back to being deprived of that particular restricted food. Also By cutting out certain food groups especially a macronutrient like fat your hormone levels can be affected negatively which can make it very hard to lose weight and to feel normal. The next biggest mistake is falling for so-called diet foods or Health Foods. I was just talking to a client the other day and she was talking about how she snacks on protein bars throughout the day. These protein bars were sometimes adding 600 extra completely unnecessary calories per day. Then you also have people drinking protein shakes throughout the day. Whey protein is very insulinogenic. This is great right after your workout because you want an insulin spike after a workout to shuttle the protein from your blood stream into the cells. However, having a whey protein shake randomly throughout the day will result in the same spike to your insulin levels but the protein will most likely be converted to glucose and stored away.

4 Groups Of People Who Should Never Use Ginger ! It Can Cause Serious Health Problems, Side Effects Of using ginger. You are surely aware of the numerous medicinal properties of ginger, and the beneficial effects of its use in numerous treatments. It has excellent effects in the case of digestive disorders, as it is high in enzymes which help digestion and food decomposition, and also detoxify the body. And usually the conclusion that people immediately jump to is something along the lines of it wasn't meant to be. Some variations of this kind of thinking include, "Oh I'm just naturally big boned so no matter what I do I'm still gonna be fat." Or "I'm just too old to look as lean as I used to in my 20's" Or another common one "I've always been fat pretty much my whole life, so that'll probably never change." All of these statements are untrue and by thinking such things you are just holding yourself back. That little negative voice is in all of our heads, and attaches itself to all kinds of different parts of our lives. That voice wants you to quit and wants you to seek comfort as quickly and painlessly as possible. It gives you all the reasons why you can't do it. Well I'm here to tell you that that voice is an absolute lie. I've seen so many people say they can't lose any more weight and just because of the fact that they didn't give up, eventually they had a breakthrough. The thing about a breakthrough is you can't give someone a breakthrough, all I could do for example is point in the direction someone has to go, and the breakthrough is entirely something that has happen within that person and only they can make it happen. The only way to stand a chance at reaching that break through is to not give up. So that is the first step to help you start losing weight again. Don't give up. even if you don't lose weight this week or next week don't give up. The next thing you're going to want to do is make sure that your tracking every single thing that you eat. I mean everything. people that think that they have an idea of how much they're eating in the day are blown away once they start tracking. Find out how many calories and macros you should be eating through a calorie calculator app and make sure you're hitting those numbers everyday. Don't drastically under eat, stick to your recommended numbers and only deviate by small amounts when you're not making progress. Your workouts are another huge thing that could be one of the causes that you're not getting results. When was the last time that your workout was drastically changed? You have to change the entire structure of the workout. When you want to break through a plateau your workout has to change big time from what it was before the plateau. You can adjust your workout through intensity, sets, reps, rep tempo, and time under tension. You can throw in drop sets, super sets, and even giant sets. Now if you're exercising and tracking what you eat, and still not losing weight, the problem may be something wrong with your hormone levels. There are a ton of hormones that can block us from losing weight, and all of them are released when our bodies are stressed. Cortisol is a hormone that will prevent us from losing weight, and is released when our bodies are under stress from a number of different things including lack of sleep, high stress levels, too much exercise, and eating the wrong food. There are a lot of other hormones that effect weight loss like testosterone, progesterone, estrogen, ghrelin, leptin and the list goes on and on. To balance out your hormones first and most importantly start with your diet. Identify not only what you're allergic to, but also what you are sensitive too. Some people have sensitivities to gluten, milk, nuts, lectins that are found in grains, and all kinds of other things. Different people have trouble digesting different things and when we eat these things that we are sensitive too our bodies become stressed out and cortisol is released. Our balance of testosterone and estrogen can be effected by things like high fructose corn syrup, non organic meats, processed meats, and dairy that is pumped full of growth hormones. If you eat dairy products or for some people grains and you feel like garbage 2-3 hours after, you may want to try to remove it from your diet. Use this approach for all other food groups that you may be sensitive to. Making your diet hormone friendly also can include adding certain food. Many times we eliminate fats almost entirely from our diet when try to burn fat. This is such a big mistake because fats are responsible for producing many of our good hormones that lead to weight loss. So try adding some healthy fats back into your diet. Another thing you should do is try to have protein and a lot of fiber in every meal this way you spike your metabolic rate and balance estrogen levels.

Clark Bartram here today to go over an all-too-common topic men over 40 have to deal with when aging - a "midlife crisis." Actually, like women who go through menopause, a man's midlife crisis is known as andropause. Andropause is the opposite of puberty where your hormones begin to decline. If not handled with care, this can end up rendering you half the man you used to be by the time you are in your 50's. What can happen a lot of the time is andropause being misdiagnosed as depression. Doctors will call it depression and put someone on some form of psycho medication that completely shuts down your hormone system. NOTE: I am NOT a doctor, and this is a warning to you out there. Consult with your doctor or physician before making any changes to medications, supplements, or your diet to ensure you are also safe and healthy. Now, let me break down how to get through andropause: 3:23 Step #1 - Evaluate and Adjust Your Diet: This is the #1 thing that can help you get over andropause. Since the onset of andropause has everything to do with hormonal imbalances and your test levels being in decline, the all-natural approach to fixing it is through diet versus using things like drugs, creams, or injections. I always say, "let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food." Food is enjoyable, food is healing, and food can be good for you if you know what you're eating. Red meat, for example, is something you can keep in your diet so long as it is high-quality, all-natural, and grass-fed instead of processed, genetically-modified options. Healthy fats are your friend as well, seeing as they are needed in the production of test. And keep your nutrition in balance - eating soy can be estrogenic for you so to counter that make sure you eat to boost your test levels. 6:26 Step #2 - Exercise: This is the second easiest way for men to boost test levels, manage stress levels, and improve overall health. Now, don't just hop on a treadmill for 30+ minutes at a time, because that will not be as effective for you as doing compound, multi-joint muscle movements. These kinds of movements engage multiple, big muscle groups to work together and train most to the entire body instead of isolating every single muscle group. 9:28 Step #3 - Manage Your Stress: Now, this isn't fighting, avoiding, or overcoming stress. Healthy management of stress does leaps and bounds more for you to help control your hormonal health to better fight andropause. This is because stress releases the hormone cortisol. Cortisol causes the body to hold on and keep unwanted, excess body fat and will be a detriment to your t-levels. 11:26 Step #4 - Get More Sleep: Sleep is vital to being able to manage stress, help improve your male hormone health, and absorb nutrients from good foods that you should be eating. There is something called a "circadian rhythm" that has to do with your body and how it sleeps. Things like stimulants, seasonal changes, and time zone change all affect this very important rhythm. Long story short - if you're tired, sleep. It's really that simple because fighting your body's urge to rest and relax can put a damper on your hormone health. 12:39 Step #5 - Don't Mistake Andropause for Depression: Andropause is a natural process in life and you have to accept it. Now, the tips I gave you are all the ways you can start naturally helping yourself to make this process go by a lot more smoothly. It's something that, no matter what, you will have to endure...
