Around the world, millions of older women and a smaller number of older men have been taking a drug to prevent hip fractures and fight osteoporosis, a disease caused by low bone mass and bone deterioration. Now some doctors are concerned that patients who have taken the drug, Fosamax, and similar medications for four to five years may be at risk for sudden fractures of the femur, the main thigh bone. VOA's Melinda Smith has details about possible side effects of the drugs, and what the U.S. government's health agency is doing about it.

Fosamax is one of the leading prescription osteoporosis drugs. It contains alendronate, a compound that inhibits the breakdown of bones. However, Fosamax does nothing to build new bones. These effects on bone homeostasis can temporarily increase bone mineral density but eventually produce old, weak bones. Over the last 10 years, reports of adverse effects with Fosamax use have grown. One such side effect of Fosamax is the paradoxical increase in the risk of osteoporotic bone fractures in the thigh, hip, and femur. But is bone fracture really a paradoxical side effect of Fosamax? Read the complete article to find out why Fosamax is not only bad for your bones but also for your health. On Wednesday, United Press International reports that a study has found patients who receive the osteoporosis drug alendronate have a reduction in the risk of hip fracture. However, only one in four patients treated with cortisone receive alendronate to prevent hip fracture. Mattias Lorentzon, a professor of geriatric medicine said "The low number of people who receive this protective treatment is often due to a lack of knowledge and procedures in this area within the healthcare system." http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2017/07/12/Doctors-find-protection-against-hip-fracture-during-cortisone-treatment/6951499875612/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

https://phoenixvitamins.com/ Those of us in the natural medicine and nutrition fields have been touting the use of natural calcium compounds to not only aid in the prevention of osteoporosis but also as a safe alternative to osteoporosis drugs. We have been warning women of the potential dangers of osteoporosis drugs for several decades. The FDA has recently issued a warning for a specific class of bone drugs called bisphosphonates. You may not recognize the name bisphosphonates but you will certainly be familiar with their drug names, which include Fosamax, Actonel, Boniva, and Atelvia. Bisphosphonates have now been shown to greatly increase the risk of hip and femoral fractures, the very problem they were designed to prevent! While it is not yet known how drugs like Fosamax, Actonel, Boniva, and Atelvia increase the risk and danges, the FDA has issued an official warning for these bone drugs. Hip and femoral fractures are common in those with osteoporosis and bone loss but no one suspected that Fosamax, Actonel, Boniva and Atelvia would actually contribute to this problem. There have been seven clinical studies showing that calcium, in the right form, can not only halt the progression of bone loss, but can actually increase bone density over time. Calcium and bone loss has always been at the heart of osteoporosis. Bone is made up of calcium and when calcium is leached from the bone to meet the needs of the body chemistry, it must be replaced. As we age, our ability to absorb calcium from dietary sources greatly decreases. This lack of calcium absorption causes a calcium deficit and bone loss is the result. Calcium supplements alone cannot always meet this need. Trace minerals such as magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc and strontium must also be present at the same time. Calcium absorption relies on these trace minerals. Studies have shown that calcium absorption increases dramatically when the calcium supplement also provides the trace mineral co-factors. These alternatives to drugs for bone loss are not only much safer, but very effective as well. When considering a program for the prevention or reversal of bone loss, it would be wise and much safer to consider alternatives to drugs for bone loss, which are being shown to possess almost as much risk as benefit.

What to do if Experiencing Serious Side Effects From Fosamax - NY Attorney Michael Werner explains more at: https://www.yourlawyer.com/defective-drug-attorneys/ Watch as Florda attorney Michael Werner of Parker Waichman discusses how recent information has come to light showing that the prescription drug Fosamax is not as effective as once thought. Fosamax is a drug in the medical class of bisphosphonates. Bisphosphonates help treat and prevent bone loss in patients. But, according to reports, the drug is doing severe damage to the bones instead. The drug has been linked to numerous cases of jawbone disease, esophageal cancer, and atypical arrhythmia. The FDA even asked the manufacturers to put a warning on the drug's label recognizing the risk of a certain type of fracture, atypical femur fractures which mean the bones were broken without trauma or accident. These bones were breaking with every day activity such as getting out of a car or walking to the mailbox. After further testing, the FDA also announced that according to their studies the drug did not have any effectiveness after a 3 year period. With millions of women prescribed this drug every year, there is a huge potential risk of not only severe injuries but of no actual medical benefit. Watch this video now to learn more. Question? What are the risks associated with taking Fosamax? Answer: Fosamax is designed to treat osteoporosis by strengthening bones and preventing bone loss. However, studies have linked Fosamax and other bisphosphonate drugs to an increased risk of broken bones and fractures. The risk is highest in the femur, which is the strongest bone in the body. Fosamax has also been linked to an increased risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw, otherwise known as "dead jaw disease." The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning in 2010 about the risk of femur fracture associated with bisphosphonate drugs. Studies suggest that women who take these drugs for longer than 5 years are at the great risk of suffering fractures.

Don't kid yourself - Pharmaceutical companies are not concerned with helping people live better lives. The only things that these companies care about are profits. If a company can make billions of dollars at the expense of human lives, you can bet that they will always choose the profits over the patient. Mike Papantonio talks about the latest example of corporate greed at the expense of consumer safety with attorney Tim O'Brien.

The Dangers Of Using Pharmaceutical Drugs. Why Fosamax Or Boniva Will Make Your Bones Will Snap Like Dry Tinder A caller (Greg) from California called Dr. G to ask about his mom's condition. About a year ago, his mom fell off a bus and broke her L4 vertebrae. Although the doctor said it has already healed, still her mom suffers from a lot of pain. She often has difficulty putting on socks and her right hips hurt all the time. On top of that, she has osteoporosis. Evidently, there's a certain amount of stress that can make anything break. It's like how Kryptonite broke Superman or if you drop a rock big enough on your foot, you're foot's going to break. However, there's a difference between the stress of life and the structural integrity of the human body. When the human body is nutrified and people are taking all ninety essential nutrients every day, their whole body, everything will have the raw materials that it needs to optimize the structure and function of the body. Consequently, when they stop eating food that's slowly whittling away our health, the body optimizes its structure and function even more. Thus, people don't become osteoporotic because they're getting older, because they have bones or because they have a bad gene. They become osteoporotic because they have a bad doctor. Their bones simply run out of the raw material it needs in order to maintain their structural integrity. The leading osteoporotic medicine bisphosphonates Fosamax, Boniva and whatever the next generation bone builder is, understand this physiological process. Our body is constantly chewing up old bone and laying down new bone. It does it with two types of cells. First, the osteoblast lay down new bone and then the osteoclast chew up old bone. This process happens all of the time. However, the bisphosphonate Fosamax and Boniva take advantage of this situation by putting the cells that chew up old bone to sleep which is unwise because when you put the cells that chew up old bones to sleep, the old bone accumulates in your body. Naturally, our body is trying to get rid of the old bone but the MDs don't believe that because the MDs don't believe in the wisdom of the body. The MDs believe that the body is just a pot full of trouble with something just waiting to go bad. They think it's just time that something in the body breaks and you have to manage what breaks with a drug. They're insane with their understanding of the inner workings of the human body. The MDs don't think that the body is trying to get rid of the old bone for a good reason so what they do is they stop that and as a result the old bone accumulates in the bone. Now, after you've been on these drugs for four to five years, you start to get something called brittle bone syndrome which means that the bones can easily snap. This goes especially for the long bones in the body like the legs and the forearms which are filled with old bone. You can look up bisphosphonate spontaneous leg fractures. But of course, nobody talks about it and you don't see them pitching Boniva anymore for this reason. We want to underline the fact that there are two processes that happen inside the body all of the time. Our body is chewing up old bone and it's also attempting to lay down new bone. However, the body needs raw materials to lay down new bone. The body can't make calcium, phosphorus, silica or sulfur. These are the things that our bones need to be strong. Hence, it will be prudent to give somebody who is struggling with osteoporosis raw materials that their body can use to make new bones because the body is trying to strengthen the bones all of the time. It would also be a good idea to council somebody with osteoporosis to stop eating food that's hurting the bones. When we do these two things, stop eating the food that's hurting the bones and give the body raw materials it can use to lay down new bone, it's a never fail fudge. Find the truth about health care, you don't know what you don't know, our primary mission is to educate you on Wholistic medical nutrition. Come Join our Team!! www.L120Y.com/8110-2.
