Do you know how to take your vitamins and supplements? Timing is everything when it comes to taking your vitamins and supplements, so we've put together a guide to help you maximize the powerful health benefits that come from taking them at the right time. Read more about this on our blog: http://blog.professionalsupplementcenter.com/the-best-time-to-take-nutritional-supplements/ Morning: -Probiotics - Probiotics are best taken in the morning on an empty stomach. • When the stomach is empty, digestive activity is quiet and stomach acid and pH balance are relatively low, increasing the chances for the helpful microorganisms to thrive. -Iron - Iron is best absorbed in the morning on an empty stomach. • Caffeine, dairy and calcium can negatively affect absorption, so it's best to avoid these for several hours after taking iron. -Multivitamins - Take multivitamins with your first meal. In the morning! • As multivitamins contain both water and fat soluble vitamins, be sure to include some healthy fats with your meal for optimal absorption. -B-Complex vitamins - Taking B vitamins with breakfast helps to boost your metabolism and convert your food into energy, which can be used throughout the day. -Vitamin C- Vitamin C is best taken in the morning to support the immune system and boost energy levels. • Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin that lasts only a few hours in the blood stream, so if your formula recommends more than 1 tablet per day, take it in divided doses with meals to get the full benefit. Noon: -CoQ10 - CoQ10 is best taken at lunch time with a meal that contains dietary fats. • Avoid taking CoQ10 late in the day so it doesn't disturb your sleep. -Vitamin D - Vitamin D is best taken with a meal that contains dietary fats. • It's possible that Vitamin D can negatively affect sleep, so lunch time is a good time to get your Vitamin D. -Iodine - Iodine is not stored in the body, so regular intake is needed. kelp tablets taken with lunch may boost midday energy levels. -Vitamin K - Vitamin K is best absorbed along with dietary fats and ideally should be taken during the middle of the day. • Avoid taking vitamin K if you are taking Coumadin or any anticoagulant prescription drug, as Vitamin K can interfere with the effects of the medication. Night: - Fish oil - Important to support many aspects of health, fish oil is best taken with a main meal like dinner to aid absorption. -Calcium - Calcium aids nerve transmission and muscle function. To get the full benefit, take calcium in the evening along with magnesium. -Magnesium - Magnesium has a calming effect on the muscles and nervous system and may aid restful sleep. • Magnesium works synergistically with calcium, so take these together either as individual supplements or in a combined formula. In addition: -Digestive Enzymes - Digestive enzymes can be taken with any meal or within 30 minutes of your meal. Unless you have serious digestive issues, they don't necessarily need to be taken with light meals or snacks, but can be very beneficial for optimal breakdown and absorption of nutrients when taken with main meals. -Fiber - Fiber supplements may be taken either first thing in the morning or before bed. Be sure to take fiber with a full glass of water and get plenty of water during the day. Fiber can delay or reduce the absorption of certain medications so always check with your healthcare provider before taking. http://www.anoasisofhealing.com/blog/ How much b12 should we take? How many micrograms of B12 should we take? The recommendations are anywhere from 2 to 7 micrograms a day, but we need to take more than that, because we have different abilities to absorb it. In this detailed video, Dr. Lodi will discuss what is B12, how much do we need to take, how is B12 absorbed and when is supplementation necessary.

In this video I take a B12 injection on camera and explain how to do it yourself with some advice on needles and on how to prepare the syringe with your B12 vitamin. -- And here are some useful health/life tips from Durianrider: Sleep, water, sugar sufficiency must be the daily focus. Sun + sport must be the weekly focus. Making the world a better place for humanity, the animals and the environment must be the life focus. One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully. High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. I've NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat. Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat because someone doesn't move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc. Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!! My recommendations for anyone wanting to get fit + stay fit + gain muscle + burn fat is 10g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per day MINIMUM (even on days off) and 1g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per hour when you're out training. I personally drink enough water so Im pizz'n at least 10 times a day CLEAR and a few times a night. If my urine is yellow or straw, I just knock back a quart and Im good to go. Keep your salt intake low. Healthy whole food plant foods contain all the sodium we need without creating the excess weight gain from sodium retention that added salt can bring. Raw food diet vegan high carb low fat style based on fruit keeps you slim naturally. How to get a flat stomach, how to lose weight with raw foods.how to start a raw food diet? all these questions and more answered by Durianrider & Freelee on our channels. https://www.youtube.com/user/durianriders https://www.youtube.com/user/Freelea

How to Get the Most out of Vitamin Supplements- Thomas DeLauer: When should you take your vitamins? To learn more about how I can help you, head to http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Many factors play a role on how available vitamins and supplements are when you take them. Fat-Soluble Vitamins: Vitamins A, D, E and K- These are stored in the liver and fat stores in your body, so you do not need to consume these every day. They are easy to get from food as they are not easily broken down by heat when cooking. These are the most important vitamins to eat with food, as the name implies, they are only absorbed and used by the body in the presence of fat. These vitamins dissolve in fat and are then delivered to the bloodstream for use in the body. Not much fat is needed, but if taking a supplement, or even eating fruits and veggies, but sure to have some fat added. If you make a healthy smoothie, add some almond butter or you favorite oil, such as macadamia nut oil. When eating salads, do not use fat-free salad dressings! Olive oil and lemon juice are great options. Be careful if you supplement these vitamins and be sure to check with your doctor if you feel you may need to do so. These vitamins are only needed in small quantities and can build up to a dangerous level if too many are taken. Vitamin D is the main fat-soluble vitamin in the US where deficiencies are common. This is due to inadequate exposure to sunlight. Fortified foods and supplements can help. Try to obtain 5-15 minutes of direct sunlight twice per week to avoid a deficiency, and if this is not possible then talk to your doctor about supplementation. Water-Soluble Vitamins: Vitamin C and B-complex vitamins are water soluble vitamins that you need to be sure to include in your diet daily. Unlike fat-soluble vitamins, these vitamins are not stored in your adipose tissue or liver and are in essence washed from your body daily. Food storage and preparation are important when making sure to get sufficient quantities of these vitamins. Deficiencies are uncommon, however vegans do not have a natural source of vitamin B12 and usually need to supplement. While deficiencies are not common, it is still important to consume daily for bodily functioning. As these vitamins dissolve in water, you do not need to take these with foods, although you can if you want to. Minerals: Calcium and Magnesium (2,4) - These are best taken with food and good to take at night. Calcium is linked to improved sleep due to its muscle relaxing abilities and magnesium has calming effects on the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Zinc (2,4) - Take with or after meals to avoid stomach upset. Do not take with dairy as calcium hampers absorption. Also avoid taking with iron as large quantities of iron can also hurt your body’s ability to absorb zinc. Avoid taking excess zinc, which can lead to anemia through suppression of copper absorption. Iron (4) - Best to take on an empty stomach. Avoid taking with zinc, calcium and vitamin E as these can decrease absorption. If you have a sensitive stomach you may not do well when taking iron on an empty stomach. If so, take with a light meal. Probiotics (4) - Best to take 30 minutes before a meal as this is when digestive enzymes, bile salts and stomach acid are at low levels. These levels peak after a meal, so this is the worst time to take a probiotic. Fiber (2) - Be sure to separate taking fiber from other nutritional supplements as fiber can hamper mineral absorption. Fish Oil (4) – Fish Oil is best to take with food and with your multivitamin, or other fat-soluble vitamins, if you take them. The fat in the food that you eat can help to aid in digestion and absorption. As fats take a long time for your body to digest, it is best not to take fish oil pills or eat a fatty meal pre-workout. This can cause digestive upset. Multivitamins: As these contain both water- and fat-soluble vitamins, take with plenty of water and some food with fat in it, but try not to take with dairy as this can reduce your absorption of zinc. For more on Vitamin B12 foods, you can check out my article: https://draxe.com/top-10-vitamin-b12-foods/ In this video, I’m going to talk about how to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency and the health benefits of Vitamin B12. Surprisingly, about 40% of the population is deficient. Some of the big warning signs that you are Vitamin B12 deficient are if you struggle with low energy, fatigue, lack of focus, poor memory, poor cellular function, autoimmune disease, anemia, or thyroid condition. The biggest reason most people have Vitamin B12 deficiency is because they don’t have a healthy digestive system to digest this vitamin properly, also known as leaky gut. If you can’t absorb nutrients and vitamins properly, then you won’t be able to absorb the vitamins you need for optimal health. People who struggle with leaky gut or digestive issues, vegans or vegetarians, and people who don’t have enough probiotics in their diet all tend to have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Some of the benefits of Vitamin B12 include red blood cell formation, which is vital to heart health, cellular function, and supporting the brain and nerve system. If you want to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency, then you must follow these specific steps: 1. Consume more Vitamin B12-rich foods (liver, wild-caught fish, grass-fed lamb and beef, and raw dairy products) 2. Take a Probiotic (increases absorption) 3. Heal your gut (getting inflammatory foods out of your diet) 4. Supplementation (Vitamin B12, B complex, desiccated liver supplement) If you can follow these steps, you will notice improvements immediately and overcome your Vitamin B12 deficiency. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Multivitamins, B complex vitamins, most iron supplements, hair & nail supplements, and so many others all contain synthetic B vitamins, often in huge amounts. Interestingly, certain B vitamins are known to cause acne in susceptible people, even those with previously perfectly clear skin. I've tried B vitamins many times because I know how good they are for stress but each time they start giving me oily skin and major breakouts within a few weeks, and I'm not the only one. That's why I think it's important to share this information with you. As so many of us take some sort of B vitamins in our supplements, perhaps it could be the cause of your breakouts, too? Never ignore these warning signs of vitamin b12 deficiency - Vitamin b12 defiency symptoms Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUxKlAVpt5s Please subscribe our channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/livehealthylifeofficial Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Live-Healthy-Life-1645151002425115 Follow us on Twitter : https://twitter.com/livehealthylif1 Follow us on Google+ : https://plus.google.com/+LiveHealthyLifeofficial Mineral deficiencies are more common than vitamin deficiencies, statistics show that one in four adults takes care of the lack of vitamin B12. This video focuses on the causes of vitamin B12, the main symptoms, as well as some tips on how to remedy this deficiency in a totally natural way. Since it increases energy in the evening and gives a boost of energy while doing cardio exercises, vitamin B12 is often referred to as the "energy" vitamin. In addition, it looks like an effective weight loss tool and has become all the rage in medical weight loss clinic. Its popularity goes to the size of clinics and health spas that offer discounts for vitamin B12 injections. Vitamin B12 is of utmost importance as it takes a vital role in many bodily functions. These include: - Good digestion. - Iron Absorption. - Fat and Carbohydrate Metabolism. - Nervous growth and training. - Healthy reproductive system in women. - Adrenal hormone secretion. - Circulation. - Formation of red blood cells. - Healthy nervous system. CAUSES OF DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN B12. Vitamin B12 deficiency can be triggered by different factors, of which the following are the most common: - Antacids affect the assimilation of vitamin B12 because the body needs enough stomach acid to absorb it. - Nitrous oxide, also known as laughter gas, destroys vitamin B12 in the body - Drinking more than 4 cups of coffee a day leads to a 15 percent reduction in vitamin B12 levels. - Gastric bypass weight loss surgery changes digestive mechanisms, affecting the absorption of vitamin B12. - The H. pylori bacterium destroys the stomach cells that create the "intrinsic factor", which are necessary for the absorption of vitamin B12. SYMPTOMS OF DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN B12. Optic Nerves / Vision Problems. In case you notice any changes in your vision, such as double or blurred vision, test your vitamin B12 levels, since deficiency in this vitamin often leads to vision problems. Anxiety. Since vitamin B12 stimulates the production of dopamine and serotonin, known as "happy" brain chemicals, anxiety is often a warning sign of low levels of vitamin B12. Changes in taste. The blows on the tongue are responsible for recognizing the taste of the food you eat. In case you notice changes in your taste and often get a 'blah' impression of food, it is very likely that you are deficient in vitamin B12. Yellow skin. When the body lacks vitamin B12, it loses its ability to produce strong cells. The degradation of red blood cells causes yellow skin and is a sure sign of vitamin B12 deficiency. Memory loss. Memory loss is often caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, especially in young people who are young to develop dementia. Inability to keep your eyes open. This is a result of lack of oxygen in the blood, which is caused directly by deficiency of the vitamin itself. Dizziness. Feeling dizzy is another sign of lack of oxygen in the blood. Numbness. Sensation of numbness and tingling is the result of nerve damage, which occurs due to vitamin B12 deficiency. RISK GROUPS READY TO B12 DEFICIENCY. - Vegans and vegetarians who do not eat animal products. - Diabetics on Metformin, since this drug affects the absorption of vitamin B12. - People 60 years or older who do not have enough stomach acid. - People diagnosed with autoimmune disorders, such as celiac or Crohn's disease.

Is it good to take your vitamins at night? It is good to take vitamins in general if you aren't getting enough nutrition from your diet. I heard that you should take them at night for better absorption. Yes, they'll sit in your stomach all night and digest. But the same is true during the day unless you pop a pill right before a marathon. Is there a bad time to take vitamins? For actual vitamins, there is no bad time. Don't take them without water, since the fluids help you break down and absorb the vitamins. I was told to take weight loss supplements in the morning, while others are best at night. Most weight loss supplements are just appetite suppressants or stimulants. If you take it at night, you won't sleep. Let's say it is a vitamin B pill. When should I take that? Whenever it doesn't make you look like you're popping too many pills. Though if you are taking appetite suppressants, taking vitamins at that time reduces the risk of malnutrition. I eat sensibly. Most people popping weight loss supplements are going to drink shakes or eat a frozen dinner at night, not nine servings of vegetables to get all the micronutrients they need. I heard that you don't want to take them all at once. True, because then your body has trouble absorbing them all. And you should check with your doctor on timing since some supplements could interfere with medication you are taking. I heard you shouldn't take vitamins in the morning due to poor absorption. That's only if you take them on an empty stomach, since your body will push it on through. Take vitamins with a small snack so your body stops to digest it. Someone said you have to take vitamin B or C with dinner. Those are water soluble vitamins. If you take it without any water or food, it is flushed out of your system. And it adds to the pile in the bottom of the porta-potty. Or it feeds the plants at the water treatment center.

http://www.workingwithbrian.com - How Long Does It Take For Vitamins to Work Vitamins are designed to help us overcome the deficiencies in our diets. There's really no physical manifestation you will blatantly see from taking vitamins. There are tremendous benefits from taking vitamins, and I believe you will see long term improvements in your health. But how long they will take to "work?" That's a tricky question. They are really working from the time you take them. But the results they bring will take much longer to realize. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZh9kohrkZ4

PST Monday through Friday at Health Associates Medical Group where he sees patients daily. Studies by Italian neurologist Antonio Constantini, MD have used vitamin B1 (thiamine) between 600-1800 mg/d (60-80 kg/bw) to successfully treat the fatigue in chronic and autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, stroke, fibromyalgia and certain balance disorders (ataxia). Sometimes 100 mg of intramuscular vitamin B1 every 4-7 days is a good alternative to oral intake. Minimal side effects have been difficulty sleeping remedied by taking the vitamin B1 before 5:00 pm. If the vitamin B1 causes a racing heart beat this is resolved by lowering the dose. Blood thiamine levels were normal (serum levels and thiamine pyrophosphate) and vitamin B1 replacement reduced fatigue. Vitamin B1 enhances energy production in the cell through enhancing carbohydrate ( glucose) metabolism and mitochondrial function. Thiamine’s recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) are: Infants 0-6 months, 0.2 mg; infants 7-12 months, 0.3 mg; children 1-3 years, 0.5 mg; children 4-8 years, 0.6 mg; boys 9-13 years, 0.9 mg; men 14 years and older, 1.2 mg; girls 9-13 years, 0.9 mg; women 14-18 years, 1 mg; women over 18 years, 1.1 mg. In fact we published, our little company published a book some years ago called “The Little Cyanide Cookbook.” Ty Bollinger: Okay. I like the name. G. Have you always wondered if you should be supplementing with Vitamin B12? Taking B12 is one of the most controversial topics in regards to supplementation. Do I supplement? What do I recommend? Here is what I have to say! http://youtu.be/1_1J8Lw4WnY One of the biggest topics in the raw world is the B12 debate. I get asked DAILY about my opinion on B12 supplements and if I take B12. B12 is an important issue for all health enthusiasts, whether they are vegan or not. The purpose of making the video is to answer peoples questions about my b12 history and what I suggest for others, based on the knowledge I have and advice I have received from trusted health professionals. There is a lot of information out there about B12 for vegans and non vegans. I am not claiming to have read through all the material and I am not claiming to be an expert on the topic. First, let's go over some B12 basics to help you understand the topic. Anyone can be B12 deficient, regardless of diet. Even meat eaters are deficient. What is B12? There are many different B Vitamins. B12 is a vitamin found in soil. B12 is typically found in few foods, meat being one of them because animals eat the plants/soil and it is carried in their products. B12 is not typically found in conventional produce, but it can be found in organic, wild fruits and vegetables grown in rich soils. B12 is also a flora produced in your colon: you either produce it or you don't. Do I take it? Am I deficient? I get checked once every 6 months or about 1-2 times a year, and I am currently NOT deficient in B12. Because I am not deficient, I currently choose not to supplement as per recommendation of Dr. Graham because I do not want to inhibit my body's ability to produce this vitamin on its own. In the past 8 years, I have tried it 3 times. It's the only supplement I've ever taken. All other supplements I do not believe in taking and am not deficient in these. I do believe that if you have to supplement, then your diet is incomplete. My advice: Get CHECKED! Deficient? No scare here! Takes YEARS of not consuming any B12 to become deficient! Most likely it is something that comes around OVER time. Even when people get an injection, they don't FEEL results immediately. Most notice better sleep and a better mood and perhaps weight loss? What are the symptoms? Dementia, light-headedness, Psychological disorders, extreme sleepiness. When you take a supplement, it can stay in your system for up to a year. Many different sources: Methylcobalamin* - Take this kind if you do supplement. Cobalamin - this form is not absorbed by our bodies. Do not take this one. Sprays Injections In summary, I think it is important to get your B12 levels checked and make an informed decision based on the results. There is no need to supplement if you're not deficient, as that may cause more harm than good. This is not just a vegan thing: otherwise, this deficiency would JUST BE IN VEGANS. Anyone can be B12 deficient. Get checked! Thank you for watching. If you have important information or B12 experience's to share, please make a comment below! Hey guys, I wanted to show you how to give yourself a B12 injection in the thigh. Remember that B12 injections can be effective at improving energy levels and helping with weight loss if used in conjunction with other therapies. If you are interested in purchasing B12 shots you can get them here: https://www.restartmed.com/b12-shots/ To give yourself a B12 shot: - Start by cleaning the area with an alcohol wipe. Use a circular motion and expand outwards from the location you want to inject. - Remove the cap from the needle and make sure that the needle is full of B12 by squirting some out from the top. You can also flick the needle to make sure any needles escape. - Push the needle into your skin of the thigh with the entire length of the needle (if using an insulin syringe). You will feel the needle enter through the skin and then into the muscle belly. - Inject the contents of the B12 shot slowly and in one fluid motion. - Once the injection is complete remove the needle from your thigh and recap the needle using the safe method. Avoid putting the cap and needle together in mid air as this may increase your risk of accidental pokes. - Dispose of the needle in a sharps container and clean off the area if any blood is present Using the right type of needle: In this video I am using an insulin syringe which is generally for subcutaneous injections. In people who have less fat this type of needle can be used in both the thigh and deltoid/shoulder area effectively. Using this smaller gauge needle allows for less discomfort and is much easier to inject yourself! You can also use this technique with longer needle lengths if necessary. B12 benefits: B12 deficiency is very common in many patients without even knowing it. And Vitamin B12 shots are by far the most effective way to get vitamin B12 into your body. They allow for better tissue penetration and are more rapid acting. It also requires administration only once per week compared to daily sublingual or oral forms of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 can help improve energy levels, improve sleep, improve nerve damage, improve red blood cells and improve immunity (if you are deficient in vitamin B12). B12 for weight loss: Vitamin B12 by itself should not be used for weight loss, but it can be helpful if combined with the fat burner MIC and if used in conjunction with healthy eating, exercise and hormone balancing. Many patients experience an improvement in energy levels after using vitamin B12 which does help them stay active and make healthy eating decisions. You can learn more about B12 shots here: https://www.restartmed.com/b12-shots/

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about the best vegan source of B12. There are two types of B12: Pseudo B12 and actual real B12. Pseudo is basically "fake B12" also called B12 analog. For instance, if Nori has a larger amount of pseudo that is going to block the real B12 and cause deficiency. Instead of taking Nori or Spirulina, take Chlorella. To get a daily requirement of vitamin B12, take 6 tablets or 1 tsp twice per day.
