Here is a first lesson for students studying photography. It’s aimed to assist teachers delivering photography to a new class. We’ll look at how the science of photography hasn’t changed since it’s invention in the 1830’s, whilst referring to examples from the past, and discuss what the essentials of photography actually is. There will also be several tasks to set students on their way to a great photography course. These include making a camera obscura out of a shoe box and studying the early pioneers of photography! The lesson is also accompanied by a lesson plan via the link below: https://goo.gl/PQdfvx For more teaching resources, check out our online Photography for Schools course by clicking the link below. https://www.theschoolofphotography.com/photography-for-schools If you enjoyed this video, make sure to subscribe to the channel to never miss future uploads. a picture says a thousand words. this one says about 50 thousands, and entire course condensed in one image. print this chart, laminate it, have it in your pocket and look at it when you pull out your camera and try to learn to control it. this is for beginners still trying to figure out the exposure triangle and what settings do what BTW - Author has been found: Daniel Peters https://www.hamburger-fotospots.de/kostenloser-download-foto-cheatcard-fuer-fotografen.html

Before you can learn 'how" to light, you must learn how to 'SEE" light. I will walk you through a defining moment in my career and how a simple egg, changed the way I approach lighting and photography forever. Watch closely as the light travels slowly around the egg. You may want to replay this part a few times to watch how the shape of the egg changes, the shadow shape and depth changes and the shade and tone of the background changes. In the second example the light simply moves from front to back beginning at the camera like an on camera flash and traveling over the top of the egg towards the background. Now do you understand the importance of the egg? If you are going to photograph the human face and form, the lessons the egg teaches us are invaluable. Note: To see the original and longer version please visit: http://vimeo.com/jenmay For the month of August I volunteered in Cambodia and designed a photography program for the students of Tiny Toones, a hip-hop center in Phnom Penh that offers free educational classes. Everyday I taught 3 classes for about 50 students. The program went over the basics of photography such as composition and lighting, and finding good backgrounds for portraits. We prepared for a photo exhibit where the student's work were showcased at the Meta House in the city. Each print sold fundraised for the center of Tiny Toones, as well as a percentage of the proceeds given towards the student of the print purchased. Photography is a universal language and it is wise to teach the youth how to speak it. To help support the center and the students you may purchase a print(s) by contacting me at: email@example.com. Thanks for watching!

Teaching photography curriculum https://www.magazinemama.com/collections/templates-for-teaching review from Cherish the Moments Photography. I have been using Magazine Mama's basic digital photography bundle ever since my business went professional. When I first started my business, decided to go pro as a photographer, I knew that teaching photography to others was something that I wanted to incorporate into my business. And I looked into a lot of different options, I looked into writing it myself, that was not going to happen. And I looked into a few other resources that I could use. Magazine Mama, by far, was absolutely the best resource I could find. So one of my very first purchases as a real business was the teaching photography bundle and it's been a part of my business ever since. I teach a basic digital photography class, mostly to Mom-tographers but sometimes to amateurs looking to go pro and other photographers interested in different genres. It's a fantastic way to reach out to my community, to meet other people, to get my name out there. It's definitely generated a lot of business for my photography work as well, not just for the classes but to meet lots of new families and to connect with different people interested in photography in my community. So it's been a huge help to my business for the last few years, I love it, I recommend it to everyone, it's a fantastic resource and I'm looking forward to all of the new teaching photography bundles that she's releasing. I'm going to start teaching the iPhone photography and also the kids' photography camp this summer and for my homeschool groups during the school year. So looking forward to those things as well.

Through the lens, I learn more about myself and the world around me. From the fragile beauty of a fleeting moment, to the destructive capabilities of man and nature, my camera is a vessel of self expression. Though this journey began as a personal one, I’ve had the honor of sharing my images with a worldwide audience. Recent credits include the Associated Press, USA Today, National Geographic Online, The New Yorker, and Wall Street Journal. While I’m truly proud of these accomplishments, perhaps my greatest joy comes from teaching others how to control their camera and fulfill their creative vision. As a licensed photography teacher, I provide personalized instruction to students of all experience levels. In 2013, Smithsonian Journeys recognized these efforts by naming me a Study Leader. I’ll admit to sitting in a small wooden blind for several hours waiting for a bird to appear, and waking up long before sunrise to capture a mountain range bathed in morning light. Yet, as majestic as these scenes are, I find even greater satisfaction in creating a unique photograph of something that would have otherwise gone by unnoticed. It’s this elusive pursuit that inspires me to press the shutter and study life, one frame at a time. www.christography.com

That piqued my interest and I thought I'd go and investigate (aka, poke my nose in!) - I'm glad I did! I met the renowned photographer Bryan Peterson (http://ppsop.com) who was teaching photography techniques.

The great part of specialty classes, students are working on projects. They will be continuing their projects. It's best to let them start the class, simply let them know who you are. You are there to keep students on track. Generally, students are in art, drama, music etc because they like or love the subject. This makes your job easy. Make sure and keep track of time. Give plenty of time to clean up. If any class leaves a mess, let the teacher know. Clean up is part of their grade.

Photo composition is of high importance when it comes to creating beautiful and highly impactful images. In his latest Visual Art Photography tutorial, Ray Scott shares one of the most important photography ideas concerning solid composition techniques...filling the frame. As Ray mentions, filling the camera's viewfinder while composing a picture is not about putting anything and all into the frame but instead is about making sure that everything in your picture is there to make the photo stronger while all extraneous material is excluded. This can be achieved various ways. One way is to physically move yourself in relation to what you are shooting. Another is to zoom your lens to recompose and finally, another way is to crop the image in post processing. When in studio or in the field Ray uses Canon gear. This is a choice he made years ago knowing that he was buying into a system that he could grow into. His go to camera is the Canon EOS 6D with the second camera being a Canon 5D. Lenses used are all L series f/4 except for the 50mm macro with extender. 16-35mm f/4L, 24-105mm f/4L, and 70-200mm f/4L round out the kit which is carried about with either a Lowepro Urban Reporter 250 messenger bag for city shooting or a Lowepro Sling Bag for landscape field work. While Ray does more camera handholding than before due to the image stabilization capabilities of his various lenses, he still is a believer in using his Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod. It's light and it is sturdy. Ray is a firm believer in exposing himself to as much photography and its history as possible. By looking at other people's photos, he has gained a big appreciation of what this medium has to offer. Ray doesn't think that "copying" someone else's style is a good thing but rather feels that exposing oneself to others work can work as a teaching and inspirational tool. With this in mind, Ray has amassed a list of favorite photographers that he uses for inspiration. Some of these artistic photographers are Galen Rowell, Ansel Adams, Frans Lanting, Annie Leibovitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Freeman Patterson, William Neill and Richard Avedon. One of the playlists on this channel is called "neighbourhood photographer" which covers tutorials shot in urban and suburban areas. It's always a challenge to see different things of interest when you've been to an area many times yet this is the best way to create good images. You need to return to familiar locations many times. To do so, Ray often drives by car to an area but when he really wants to cover ground yet see things more clearly, he uses his bicycle…bike…and explores the given place. Whether shooting landscape, macro, portrait or abstract images, Ray always tries to be aware of his surroundings to capture the best pictures possible. Part of this workflow means he is very aware of composition and uses various tips, such as the rule of thirds, as a good starting point in composing. He also likes to break rules from time to time to add new effects to his photos. Being aware of angles, shadows, shapes, lines, textures, patterns and colours goes a long way to making good pictures. He is also a big believer in "getting out there" and shooting as much as possible as it is the only way to improve and flex one's imagination. His message is it doesn't matter if you do your photography in the city, suburbs country, mountains or by the sea, just make sure you do it and follow your artistic passion. I partnered with Manfrotto and BID (one of the UKs biggest charities to help the deaf community) to create the Picture of Life programme which was designed to help young deaf people who had experienced difficult situations and social exclusions. We wanted to use the power of photography to help participants learn a new skill set, improve their confidence and help get them into the workplace. This video shows behind the scenes of the photography workshops as they progressed and the final outcomes and what was a fantastic success and far exceeded all of our expectations. It has resulted in a photography exhibition of the participants work which is currently being held in the REP in central Birmingham.

Here's an example lesson from our up-coming online course that will be available soon on our website. This online workshop is designed to fit into your life style so you can easily learn photography without disrupting your daily routines and without any long periods of study. It can be completed in one year - or over a shorter or longer period of time. There will be 8 separate modules. Five aimed at teaching the basics through more advanced photography and then 3 which can be chosen that are more subject and style oriented. Completing all 8 will be a total of 365 lessons. To get the most from the course I recommend doing one lesson per day. Each lesson is short, just 5-10 minutes (even less sometimes) and can be viewed on your smart phone or other mobile device. So while you commute to school or work, during your lunch break or whenever you have a few minutes you can watch the videos. There are experiments attached to each lesson so you can get hands on practical experience learning what I am teaching every step of the way. The idea for this course is based on the well know 365 day photography challenge, but it is different in that I provide teaching for every day of the challenge, rather than just give ideas or suggestions for what to photograph (as most every website and app available about the 365 day challenge does.) For more information please take a look at the page on our website http://photoworkshopsbykevinandpansa.com/online-workshops/365-day-course/ To pre book modules please visit our crowdfunding site where we are offering generous discounts on this online workshop and the others we have. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/experience-photography-workshops-by-kevin-pansa-travel/x/17143415#/

TTEC The Rwanda Project photographers travelled to one of the remote parts of Northern Rwanda, found a school called Groupe Scolaire Gashaki. We spent the whole afternoon teaching basic photography and gave camera to the students to go out and take pictures of their community. It was just the same way it happened to us when David Jiranek first taught a photography class. The student were as exctied as I was when I first touched a camera
