http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to shopping for supplements and alternative medicine! In this video I want to share a few of the common niacin side effects of not consuming enough of it, as well as consuming too much. Niacin also goes by the name vitamin B3 and because it's a vitamin it's vital for life. One of it's roles in the human body is to take food and turn it into glucose ,which the body uses for energy. It also plays a role in the health of the nervous system, skin, hair, eyes as well as the liver. You might be wondering what happens if someone doesn't consume enough of this stuff. According to WebMd a person may feel some depression, possibly fatigue, they could experience digestive issues and some canker sores. Those are the beginning symptoms of a deficiency and then things start to get worse. Next a person could experience disorientation, head pain, memory loss and a swollen mouth and bright red tongue. Then there is one last negative side effect that can take place. Can you guess what that is? Yep, it's dieing which can happen. You might be wondering what happens if someone consumes too much niacin. According to Mayoclinic a person might experience a speedy heart rate, stomach pains, joint aches, diarrhea, vomiting and possibly some itching. The good news is that niacin is a water soluble vitamin so you can flush it out of your system through drinking water. We all know that we need vitamin B3 just to operate normally let's go over a few nifty benefits this stuff can give us. One huge advantage to this substance is that it's great for the heart. Considering that heart problems is such a huge reason for death and so many expensive drugs target it this is huge. Mayoclinic stats that it can raise the healthy HDL cholesterol that unclogs arteries by more than 30%. It also can lower triglycerides, which clog up arteries and it can decrease the unwanted LDL cholesterol. Next up another health problem is plaguing humans thanks to consuming too much sugar and do you have any idea what this is? Yep, it's diabetes. At the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center researchers tested giving niacin to 148 patients. The results was that the participates in the trial showed significant improvement in lipid levels and minimal changes in blood sugar levels. These are just 2 health problems that it can really help with and it can do so many other things. Supplements and alternative medicine can be confusing and even harmful. Make things really simple and give your body a HUGE edge by viewing a free video guide I created at http://utahtexans.com/.

http://naturalhealthsherpa.com/niacin-flush-side-effects-benefits-cholesterol/521356--For most of us cholesterol is a bad word. Everyone from doctors and scientists to regulatory agencies and drug companies (and especially the media) blames cholesterol for everything bad that happens to us health-wise. Even the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has spent many millions of dollars to keep Americans informed about the "dangers" of cholesterol, especially when it comes to heart disease.1 Normally this wouldn't be an issue. After all, they are looking out for your health, right? Not necessarily. The real truth is that your cholesterol levels have nothing to do with your risk of heart disease.2-4 But still, healthcare practitioners go on pumping you full of dangerous, nutrient-depleting medication when a truly effective solution sits right on your shelf and costs just pennies a day.

This is the second video in my series entitled "Nutrition & Alcoholism" where I focus on different nutritional steps that helped me cure my own addiction and hopefully it can help others. My video is about the treatment of alcoholism with niacin. In this video I discuss six tips I've learned that can help people taking niacin to recover from alcoholism and alcoholism withdrawls. Tip #1: The first tip deals with the dosage one should start off at when taking niacin to treat alcoholism and addiction. I started out with 100-250 mg and went as high as 2,500 mg. Tip #2: Taking hot baths with Epsom salt is a great way to take niacin because the magnesium in Epsom salt is synergistic with the niacin. Together Epsom salt and niacin work together to produce a calming effect that can alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol and drugs. Epsom salt is a rich source of magnesium. Taking a warm bath in Epsom salt at the end of a long day can prove to be very relaxing since you absorb a handsome amount of the valuable mineral through the surface of your skin. Because Epsom salt is so rich in magnesium it's an excellent way to prevent tolerance of amphetamines. Magnesium is involved in over 200 biochemical reactions in the body and by keeping enough magnesium in the system you can keep these essential reactions running smoothly. Tip #3: Deals with the benefits of doing cardio while on a niacin regimen. Cardiovascular exercise is a great way to enhance circulation and potentiate the effects of niacin. Tip #4: Tip #4 is about the importance of ciruclatory enhancing agents like ginkgo biloba and coq10 in potentiating niacin. Tip #5: This tip describes how taking niacin in tea form can be very beneficial to the recovering alcoholic as well as any other health conscious person. Tip #6: In this final suggestion I give a couple of food recipes in the form of vegetable smoothies that are very synergistic with niacin and very helpful to the recovering alcoholic. I discuss the health benefits of vegetables like beets and foods like pumpkin seeds. Bonus Tip: I give a bonus tip to address the issue of itching as a secondary consequence to niacin consumption. Itching is the byproduct of histamine being released in the body and the best remedy for quelling the itching (in my opinion) is a baby aspirin. For over 20 years he was an alcoholic, but through extensive research into natural ways to treat addiction he cured himself. Now, because of his burning passion for nutrition and natural health he wants to give something back by creating this resource that will offer natural ways for everyone to achieve optimal health.

https://www.drlam.com/blog/niacin-as-a-detoxing-tool-and-sleep-aid/4420/ Vitamin B3, also known as Niacin, is actually quite an amazing nutrient. Yes, it has been used as an agent to help lower cholesterol. But because of its flushing effect, many people cannot tolerate. Very few people understand that Niacin is actually a wonderful detoxing tool because it helps the liver cleanse itself from the metabolites that may be toxic. In addition, Niacin is also a wonderful sleep aid. If you take Niacin at night, it can actually help you to fall asleep and stay asleep. The properties of Niacin are actually quite amazing and I will explore more with you in this article. What are the benefits of this drug for people with different health problems and needs? What does it do for weight, insulin levels and high blood sugar? Does it make people hypoglycemic? On this episode, Dr Nelson Vergel gives a presentation on different studies of metformin and why it’s a great drug to use. Testosterone-metformin combination therapy decreased total and LDL cholesterol, uric acid, hsCRP, homocysteine and fibrinogen, and it increased plasma testosterone. -Dr. Nelson Vergel Three Takeaways Metformin shifts gut bacteria and gives patients the gut biome composition of a leaner person. Metformin doesn’t decrease blood sugar to hypoglycemic level. In HIV positive patients, studies have shown a reduction in T-cell exhaustion with the use of metformin At the start of the show, we talked about why metformin is such a hot topic right now, and Dr. Nelson began his lecture on metformin, starting with its history, benefits and some of the reasons why it causes patients to lose weight. We also discussed its benefit for people with cancer, and overweight people. Towards the end of the show we talked about what people get wrong about the ketogenic diet. We also discussed; - How metformin affects the gut biome - Metformin’s impact on HIV positive patients - Why metformin is better than berberine - Metformin and diabetic mortality rates Metformin is a hot topic right now, and with good reason. It has a lot of benefits, it is affordable and it has a great many studies backing it up. It dilates vessels, it decreases insulin and blood sugar, it improves metabolism of glucose, cardiovascular protection and it also decreases weight and lipids. Testosterone and metformin work very well together when it comes to body composition and inflammation. Metformin has also shown an ability to increase lifespan for people with cancer, and it helps people with HIV a great deal. There no risks with metformin unless you have some sort of renal issue, or take a drug with a contra-reaction. If you’re going to start taking, it start low, and go slow. Guest Bio Nelson Vergel is a chemical engineer who, by his own necessity, has become a leading advocate for sports nutrition, supplementation, hormone and therapies, and the promotion of wellness. His search for cutting-edge health knowledge started when he was diagnosed with HIV over 25 years ago during a hopeless era. This life-threatening diagnosis propelled him to explore therapies to save his life and that of his peers by reviewing available literature, attending numerous health conferences, becoming an advocate member of NIH research committees, moderating online groups, and networking with many progressive clinicians. With his survival knowledge he has been able to help people to lead a healthy life regardless of their health status or background. He is the author of "Testosterone: A Man's Guide" and co-author of the book "Built to Survive"; the founder of the nonprofit organizations Body Positive Wellness Clinic and Program for Wellness Restoration; the Nutrition and Exercise forum expert at TheBody.com; and a bilingual speaker on body composition, exercise, nutrition, supplementation, testosterone replacement, metabolic disorders, and medication side effect management. Niacin (Vitamin B3) is decarboxylated into pyridine (which fuccing reeks) using a copper chromite catalyst. First we make the copper chromite catalyst from waste chromic acid waste I somehow generated in the past, then we do the decarboxylation distillation, chemically clean up the pyridine and then re-distil. Nothing too complicated, and I don't throw up, so it was a win for all, especially people who like doing chemistry in the middle of the night. The Sciencemadness post we are following is here: http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=13130 It is the post near the bottom, labelled "Improved Preparation of Pyridine" by UnintentionalChaos, a true credit to him, fantastic writeup.

Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about Side Effects Of Cholesterol Medicine. Also don't forget to subscribe for more tips in the future! But back to our topic. Any prescription medication can have side effects. Most of these are not pleasant. The reasoning of why we put up with these side effects is that it is better to deal with them than the condition which the medication treats - in this case, elevated cholesterol levels. Such drugs work to lower cholesterol which, in turn, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. There are two popular classes of drugs used to treat high cholesterol. They are specifically aimed at lowering LDL cholesterol. One is the group known as statins and the others are bile acid sequestrants. The most well known of the latter group is Niacin (nicotinic acid) which comes in both prescription form and as a dietary supplement. Popular statin brands are Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor, and Pravachol. Both classes of cholesterol medicine can have troublesome side effects. Higher doses of statins may be associated with a greater risk of side effects such that side effects tend to be dose-related and may disappear after reducing the dosage or, if necessary, withdrawing the medication. However, even if side effects are experienced, cholesterol medication should not normally be discontinued without consulting a physician. But speak to your doctor immediately. Do not wait for your next visit. Side Effects Of Cholesetrol Lowering Drugs include: Constipation. Nausea. Loss of appetite. Pain in the upper right part of the stomach. Fever. Flu-like symptoms. Hoarseness. Extreme tiredness. Lack of energy. Rash, hives or itching. Muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Yellowing of the skin or eyes. Unusual bleeding or bruising. Difficulty breathing or swallowing. Swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles or lower legs. Lowering Cholesterol Medication Should Not Be Taken In Isolation. In addition to taking a cholesterol-lowering medication, making certain changes in your daily lifestyle can also lower your cholesterol blood levels. Eating a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol with little to no grains and sugars and exercising for 30 minutes on most, if not all days, will make a big difference. As will losing weight if you are overweight. Eliminating sugar and grains will inevitably cause beneficial side effects, such as normalizing your weight, increasing your energy and lowering your blood pressure and triglycerides. Lifestyle changes will work in the majority of cases of high cholesterol so why not try those first and give yourself the chance to avoid the cholesterol medicine side effects. Your physician will be able to advise you on this. That's it! Thank you. Please subscribe, comment and like this video if it was helpful! See you soon!

That means it take 17 hours for half of the medication to be excreted/neutralized/metabolized. So that allows us to give Crestor every other day, or even 3 times per week. Very low doses of Rosuvastatin have a positive impact on inflammation. We routinely give 5 or even 2.5 mg. If the inflammatory markers are low, and there are no unusual cholesterol problems, we can even go to 3 times per week dosage.
