10 Best Natural Blood Thinners - Complete Food List

04:53
Blood thinner medicines prevent blood clots from forming. Also, they keep existing blood clots from getting larger. Blood clots can stop the flow of blood to the lungs, heart, or brain which may lead to stroke or a heart attack. However, blood thinner medicines have some side effects such as - bleeding gums, nosebleeds, vaginal bleeding, heavier than normal menstrual, coughing up blood, brown or pink urine, vomiting blood, and black or red stools. Also, because these medicines work by interfering with the blood's ability to coagulate, you may also have trouble stopping the blood flow if you sustain even a minor injury. Luckily, there are a few natural blood thinners you can have in your diet to prevent blood clots, such as: #1 Turmeric - it comes from the Curcuma longa plant, that grows in India and other Southeast Asian countries. Curcumin, the main component of turmeric, has a variety of health benefits, including being a natural blood thinner. Moreover, turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory, a natural immune modulator, and is increasingly being acknowledged as a potent cancer preventive and cancer fighter. #2 Bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple, is a natural blood thinner, as it can help lower the excessive adhesiveness of blood platelets. In addition, it promotes a healthy complexion and hair, overall lower weight, and increased energy. #3 Garlic - it has a mild inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation (one of the first stages in blood clot formation), according to a 2001 study issued in "JAMA Internal Medicine." Some individuals also use garlic for the prevention of prostate cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, and rectal cancer. #4 Ginger - it is packed with salicylates, natural chemicals which help protect plants from disease and insect damage. Salicylates are also a major ingredient in aspirin and other pain-relieving medications. Foods containing salicylates are effective blood thinners since salicylates block vitamin K in the human body, hence, thinning the blood. #5 Ginkgo biloba, also known as gingko or ginkgo, has a compound called - Ginkgolide B which is known to reduce coagulation and increase blood flow to the brain and enhance memory. #6 Foods High In Vitamin E - vitamin E helps to prevent blood platelets from sticking together and causing clots. Vitamin E rich foods include - mustard greens, broccoli, blackberries, Swiss chard, almonds, sunflower seeds, spinach, collard greens, avocados, kale, kiwi, red bell peppers, mangoes, papaya, olives, apples, mamey sapote, and cranberries. #7 Foods High In Omega-3 Fatty Acids - omega-3 also decreases platelet aggregation, therefore, it acts as a natural blood thinner and lowers the chance of the formation of blood clots. The best source of omega-3 fatty acids is flax seeds. Other sources include - chia seeds, pinto beans, kale, red kidney beans, navy beans, pistachios, macadamia nuts, soybeans, mung beans, rice bran, walnuts, sesame seeds, and pecans. #8 Cayenne Pepper - it is a fast-acting natural blood thinner which in large quantities has the effect of a clot buster. Moreover, cayenne pepper has been used for heart attack recovery and relief from angina. It also helps increase the amount of heat the body produces, making it burn more calories for a few hours after consumption. #9 Cinnamon - it contains coumarin, a chemical which acts as a strong anticoagulant. Coumarin also has been used as both a food additive and as an ingredient in perfume due to its aromatic and sweet odor. #10 Tomatoes - they contain carotenoids, like - lycopene and lutein - which can protect the eye against light-induced damage. Also, lycopene inhibits platelet aggregation, thus, reducing the chance of blood clots. Tomatoes are also a good source of vitamin C, that can help combat the formation of free radicals. Notes - Staying hydrated can help thin your blood and sustain your cardiovascular system to function properly. It is recommended to drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs., drink 100 ounces of water per day, which is 3 - 4 quarts a day or one gallon. Moderate daily physical exercise will also help thin the blood. Thank you. The body is constantly forming clots and dissolving clots. a clot is called a thrombus, which is composed of mostly fibrin (65%), 20% platelets, 10% RBCs, 1% WBC and only 4% cholesterol. A very small fraction of cholesterol makes a clot. If there is high levels of PAI-1 (Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), you will have an increased risk of getting getting a blood clot. This compound is an inhibitor of enzymes that keep the clot dissolved. It's an enzyme inhibitor. Now the question is what triggers clot formation: 1. Glucose 2. Pre-insulin and insulin 3. Glucocorticoids (cortisol) 4. Excess Estrogen increases the risk of blood clots by 7x. For more info: https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Feb-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=zincdeficient Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. Watch more How to Get Fit Fast videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/432560-How-to-Improve-Blood-Circulation-with-Alternative-Medicine Alternative medicine may help you improve your circulation, all without a prescription. Check out your options. Warning Consult your doctor before starting any regimen of alternative medical therapies. Step 1: Take alpha-lineolic acid Take alpha-lineolic acid. Alpha-lineolic acid is one variation of omega-3 fatty acid found in plants and fish oil, which has been shown to reduce inflammation, and combat heart disease. Step 2: Eat fruits and vegetables Eat a diet of fruits and veggies -- whole foods as medicine -- to improve your blood's consistency. Foods rich in vitamin B, like potatoes, chili peppers, lentils, and beans, are good for the blood. Tip Drink plenty of water -- dehydration will thicken blood and make the heart work harder. Step 3: Maintain vitamin C Maintain a high level of vitamin C, which increases nitric oxide used by the body to relax and dilate blood vessels. Sources include dark green vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, berries, and citrus fruits. Step 4: Reduce blood pressure Mix blond psyllium husk with your food, sometimes used as a thickener for frozen dairy desserts or to soften stools. Taken orally, blond psyllium can reduce total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein, as well as lower blood pressure. Step 5: Include garlic Include garlic in your diet, for its compounds that work as effective suppressants on blood cholesterol, a kind of blood thinner. The wonder herb is a broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal agent, too. Step 6: Load up coenzyme Q10 Load up on coenzyme Q10, which helps regulate the heart's beating and the body's circulation. Use alternative medicine through food-based products whenever you can and worry less about drug interactions. Did You Know? As of 2010, the American Heart Association reported that peripheral arterial disease (PAD) affects almost eight million in the U.S.

Ubiquinol CoQ10: 4 Benefits & 1 BIG Problem (2:49) You NEED To Know

03:56
http://www.nutrusta.co/ubiquinolultra Try Nutrusta Ubiquinol Ultra brand Coenzyme Q10 supplement with better absorption, replaces 200, 300, 400, 600 mg. https://www.nutrusta.com/products/ubiquinol-coq10 https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquinol-CoQ10-VESIsorb-Kaneka-100mg/dp/B00KB2XSG0/ Today, we'll talk about the 4 Proven Benefits of CoQ10 and one BIG problem you should be aware of if you're planning to take or already take CoQ10 supplements. Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10 is a fat-soluble compound found in virtually every cell membrane in the human body. It is most abundant in the heart, liver, kidneys and pancreas. CoQ10 exists in either Ubiquinone (the inactive form), or Ubiquinol (the active form). The body can synthesize its own CoQ10 from tyrosine or phenylalanine, aided by vitamin B6, but as we age (or take statin drugs), CoQ10 production decreases. CoQ10 has two main biochemical functions:  CoQ10 is vital for energy production. It moves electrons in the mitochondria to enable life-sustaining biochemical reactions, specifically the conversion of glucose into ATP.  CoQ10 as Ubiquinol is the most powerful fat-soluble antioxidant in the body. As a "reduced" compound, Ubiquinol either donates extra electrons to appease the free radicals that are trashing the body, or regenerate weakened antioxidants. Related video: ---------------------- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0WNijKmJRs CoQ10 Could Reduce Blood Pressure CoQ10 supplementation could moderately lower systolic blood pressure by up to 17 points and diastolic blood pressure by up to 10 points in hypertensive individuals, perhaps by promoting vasodilatory actions of Nitric Oxide.1 It Supports Heart and Skeletal Muscles CoQ10 supplementation could significantly improve heart function and quality of life, as well as symptoms of heart failure like shortness of breath, fatigue and swelling, and even reduce deaths from adverse cardiac incidents.2-5 CoQ10 supplementation in heart attack survivors could improve heart function and exercise tolerance, and decrease chest pains and arrhythmias. Over the long-term CoQ10 supplementation may lower cardiac incidents and reduced rehospitalizations.6-8 In patients undergoing bypass and valve surgeries, pre-surgery CoQ10 supplementation could aid in recovery.9-11 People who are experiencing statin-related muscle weakness and pain may experience up to 50% improvement of symptoms with CoQ10 supplementation. CoQ10 May Restore Arterial Health CoQ10 supplementation may significantly improve endothelial function and restore normal blood flow in patients with atherosclerosis.12-16 Supplementation Improves Migraines CoQ10 supplementation could also significantly reduce duration, symptoms and frequency of migraine headaches.17-19 The BIG Problem Is... CoQ10 is lipophilic, insoluble in water, has limited solubility in lipids, and is a pretty large molecule. Because of its molecular structure, CoQ10 has notoriously poor absorption. When ingested as a supplement, as much as 60% of the dose will just bounce off the intestinal walls and end up in the toilet.20 THE NUTRUSTA SOLUTION Nutrusta Ubiquinol Ultra is a water-soluble formulation that combines the active, "body-ready" form of CoQ10 and the novel VESIsorb® micelle-based delivery system, clinically proven21 to ensure 6 times higher absorption and 3-fold increase in bioavailability for a maximum and sustained therapeutic levels of CoQ10 that supports heart function, energy production, and oxidant protection. All this in one 100 mg softgel capsule! Click on the link to start saving money with Nutrusta Ubiquinol Ultra today. * Individuals who are taking blood thinners are not recommended to take CoQ10 for possible drug interactions. Pregnant or lactating women are recommended to talk their doctor. **All material provided within this video is for informational and educational purposes only, and is not to be construed as medical advice or instruction. NCLEX Question: Bridging Coumadin until INR Therapeutic

03:57
EmpoweRN.com This is a video nursing exam or NCLEX style question going over the medication coumadin. I have placed this video in the format that helped me pass nursing school with honors and the NCLEX examination on the first attempt in 75 questions. I know it may seem unreasonably long… but it is not. Take your time, follow the instructions and read each word slowly. Lets get started ;) Question Number 1 of 4: Title: NCLEX Question: Bridging Coumadin until INR Therapeutic A client was admitted for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis. The attending physician ordered the following medication: Heparin 5,000 units S.Q. every 8 hours, Warfarin (Coumadin) 5 mg P.O, start today. The nurse’s best action would be: A. Administer neither the heparin nor coumadin B. Administer both heparin and coumadin C. Administer only prescribed coumadin D. Administer only prescribed heparin Correct Answer: B – It takes several days for the Coumadin to reach its maximum anticoagulant effect, and heparin and Coumadin therapy sometimes overlap. For more questions & for the main video visit here: http://wp.me/s4CVjD-coumadin Warfarin aka Coumadin is the most used oral anticoagulant in the world and has been used for more than 50 years for therapy in prevention of thrombus formation and subsequent thromboembolic events. Anticoagulants are blood thinners which prevent formation of blood clots as well as prevent existent blood clots from increasing in size. Blood clots can hinder blood circulation and lead to serious medical conditions, like stroke, heart attack and pulmonary embolism. Thus warfarin is helpful in treating and preventing vein and artery blockage, stroke and heart attack. Mechanism of Action Warfarin slows down the formation of blood clots within 24 hours, but the complete effect takes place between 72 to 96 hours after taking the medication. Blood clot formation is a complicated process which requires certain compounds known as coagulating factors to be present. These coagulating factors are produced by the liver. In the presence of sufficient vitamin K. Warfarin acts by inhibiting the presence of vitamin K and this inhibits the formation of coagulating factors. Substances that require vitamin K for their formation are: the anticoagulant proteins C and S and factors II, VII, IX, and X. Therefore, medications like warfarin block coagulating factors and disturb the process of clot formation. Thus slowing down blood clot formation. In the case of blood clots that are already formed, warfarin stops the clot from getting bigger. It also prevents breakage of the clot which can be otherwise dangerous if it travels in the bloodstream and blocks blood vessels. Warfarin cannot destroy or dissolve a blood clot that is already there. But the blood clot itself may slowly dissolve with time. Nor can Warfarin reverse ischemic tissue damage either, but, may help avoid secondary thromboembolic complications that can be dangerous and even fatal.

VItamin D Deficiency - 1.5 Year Recovery

17:41
Vitamin D Deficiency - 1.5 years of recovery This video is about my year and a half long recovery from vitamin d deficiency. I have supplemented with vitamin d3 for 1.5 years. Months 1-6 = 70,000 iu/week Months 7-12 = 35,000 iu/week Months 13-18+ = 15,000-20,000 iu/week I recently added vitamin k2, please talk to your doctor before taking this. Especially if you take a blood thinning medication. Vitamin k2 will have the opposite effect of a blood thinner and will help to thicken/clot your blood. If you are have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), hormonal imbalance, or infertility, you may want to see an acupuncturist. Acupuncture has helped me a lot with balancing my hormones and regulating my period. I had amenorrhea for years and have finally been able to get multiple periods naturally. I used to have really painful dry eyes. They have gotten better since recovering from vitamin d deficiency. I do have allergies though that make my eyes itchy and feel like sand paper. I take an allergy medication before bed and put vaseline on my eye lid, around my eyes and on my nose. I wash it off first thing in the morning. Some other symptoms I had include: red tinted skin, numbness/tingling in fingers and toes, fatigue, weakness, bone pain, brain fog, unbalance mood/irritable, difficulty losing weight, excess fat in mid section (visceral fat), bloating in abdomen, sugar cravings, muscle aches/tingling Disclaimer: This video is solely based on my experience and is meant only to share that information. 05:32
Garlic is commonly used to add flavor to many food dishes, but it has some impressive health benefits too. Some of these include vitamins B1, B6, C, as well as maganese, calcium, copper, selenium and many others. A little garlic every day can go a long way in helping you to protect, as well as boost, your health. To reap the most health benefits from garlic, eat it in its raw state. Cooked garlic loses a significant amount of its medicinal qualities. Plus, to increase its, efficiency as a natural antibiotic, eat garlic on an empty stomach. This is what happens when you eat garlic in it's raw state. 1. It Improves your Heart Health. Garlic is an excellent superfood for heart health. It helps improve blood circulation, lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. It helps slow the development of atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries which increases the risk for a heart attack or stroke. To improve cardiovascular health and prevent heart disease, eat 1, or 2 crushed garlic cloves daily in the morning. 2. It Reduces Arthritis Pain. Garlic has been shown to reduce pain and other symptoms in people with rheumatoid arthritis. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation associated with various forms of arthritis. It also contains a compound called diallyl disulfide that helps limit cartilage-damaging enzymes. To ease pain in inflamed and aching joints due to arthritis, include garlic in your regular diet. Preferably, take it on an empty stomach. 3. it Boosts Immunity. Garlic is a surprisingly good source of vitamins C, B6 and the minerals selenium and maganese – all of which boost the immune system. It also enhances mineral absorption. Plus, garlic has antioxidant properties that strengthen the body’s defence mechanism and fight infections. 4. it Treats Cough and Cold. Garlic offers antibiotic and antiviral benefits that make garlic a wonderful treatment for cough and cold. It may also reduce the severity of upper respiratory infections. Whenever i catch a cold in winter season. I go in the kitchen, grab a garlic clove, and eat it raw, my cold goes away instantly. It works even better than some cold medicines. 5. it Fights Fungal Infections for you. Garlic has powerful antifungal properties that help fight fungal infections causing ring worm, athlete’s foot and jock itch. It also helps fight candida. 6. it Combats your Allergies. Garlic has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties that help the body fight different types of allergies. It also has been shown to reduce airway inflammation due to allergic rhinitis. It is highly recommended that people with allergies take a daily garlic supplement during the allergy season. Applying minced garlic is a good option for rapid relief from itching due to rashes, bug bites or any other kind of allergy. 7. it Cures your Tooth ache. Garlic is also effective in reducing tooth ache, thanks to its antibacterial and analgesic properties. Simply put some garlic oil or a piece of crushed garlic clove directly onto the affected tooth and surrounding gum for instant relief. Keep in mind that garlic can be irritating to the gums. 8. it Inhibits Cancer and saves you from life threatening danger. Garlic helps to prevent cancer, especially of the digestive system and lungs, while also prevents certain tumors from growing larger and reducing the size of certain tumors. The presence of allyl sulfur compounds in garlic can slow down the progress of cancerous cell growth Regular intake of garlic is important for those who have a family history of cancer to lower their risk of many types of cancer. Garlic supplements do not seem to be as effective in protecting against cancer as raw or cooked garlic. Warning. Garlic can cause side effects like bloating, flatulence, gas, upset stomach, bad breath and body odor. If you have stomach or digestion problems, use garlic with caution. It acts as a blood-thinner and may interfere with blood thinning medications. It may block some HIV drugs. So, there it is, the amazing health benefits of garlic.

Lets get started ;) Title: NCLEX Question: Coumadin & Patient Education A client has been on Warfarin (Coumadin) for several weeks already. Which of the following nursing interventionsj is most crucial for the client? A. Instruct client to ambulate slowly B. Ensure that the client is kept cool and dry C. Use safety razor when shaving the client D. Instruct client to use a soft toothbrush for oral care Correct Answer: D – It will decrease the risk/possibility of bleeding due to oral care. A and B. Keeping client cool and ambulating slowly is not crucial as of the moment in providing care for the client. C. An electric shaver and not a safety razor, should be used. Mechanism of Action Warfarin slows down the formation of blood clots within 24 hours, but the complete effect takes place between 72 to 96 hours after taking the medication. vitamins for weight loss and metabolism | can I use vitamins for weight loss?

06:02
https://youtu.be/PLgWNRe6dAk Recently people search for relationship between vitamin and weight lost, no wonder there are many topic like vitamins for weight loss , best vitamins for weight loss, vitamin d3 weight loss testimonials, vitamins b12 for weightloss, supplement for weight loss, green tea for weight loss and any other title of article written to fulfill the information about vitamins for weight loss and metabolism. this video created to help you understand and get information about vitamins for weight loss and metabolism. Weight Loss Isn’t Easy We’d all be thin as reeds if weight loss were a simple matter of popping a vitamin or supplement, or submitting to a vitamin shot. We could just settle in on the couch and watch Netflix while the vitamin or supplement did all the work. If only. The claims When you scan the vitamin and supplement shelves, you’re likely to see weight loss touted as a benefit of vitamin B12, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, and green tea supplements. The purported benefits range from “revving up your metabolism” and “flipping a switch in your body” to “signaling your cells to burn fat.” However, there is not any hard scientific evidence to bolster these weight-loss claims. B12 a Bust for Weight Loss Whether you get it in pill form or as a pricey injection at a day spa, don’t expect vitamin B12 to boost your metabolism and spur weight loss. Your body needs B12 to nourish nerve and blood cell function, as well as to produce DNA. Your best bet for getting the 2.4 micrograms you need a day? Integrate B12 into a healthy, lean eating plan. Have fortified whole-grain cereal for breakfast, a tuna sandwich or salad for lunch, and snack on low-fat yogurt. If you’re a fan of beef liver or clams, those pack the most B12. Vitamin D = No Dice Vitamin D is important for calcium absorption and keeping your bones sturdy. But loading up on it in supplement form won’t help you unload extra weight. One study showed that overweight postmenopausal women who achieved healthy or “replete” vitamin D levels with supplements had greater weight loss and body composition improvement compared with women who didn’t reach replete levels. But researchers haven’t yet sorted out the implications for weight loss, whether they can be replicated or if they apply to other populations. Until we know more, reach for low-fat dairy products, juices, and cereals fortified with vitamin D. These foods, along with fatty herring, mackerel, and tuna, deliver modest amounts of vitamin D. Exposure to sunlight helps your skin manufacture some of the 600 IU you need every day. A 10- to 15-minute stroll in the sun three times a week will do the trick, boosting your vitamin D and providing regular exercise that helps you shed pounds. Omega 3s: The Weight-Loss Fish Story There is insufficient evidence to tout omega-3s for weight loss, according to the Mayo Clinic. Including fish in your healthy diet is an excellent part of your weight-loss strategy, provided the fish isn’t fried. Try broiling or baking it instead. Rich in omega-3s, which may help to control blood clotting and building brain cell membranes, a 3.5-ounce serving of fish also may dish up protection to help defend against heart disease and stroke. The Calcium-Weight Calculus Will calcium supplements help you lose weight? The evidence points to “no.” One theory behind a potential link between calcium consumption and weight loss is that the mineral may reduce calcium in fat cells and spur fat breakdown. The other speculation is that calcium may interfere with fat absorption by binding with fat during digestion. But research doesn’t support either contention, according to the Office of Dietary Supplements. Your body depends on calcium not only for bone health, but also for muscle, nerve, and blood vessel function, as well as hormone secretion. So serve up the 1,000 mg you need daily in kale salad, steamed broccoli, low-fat dairy products, or a tofu stir-fry. Slim in fat but high in nutrients, these foods can be part of your weight-management tactics. Green Tea Won’t Trim You Down Tempting as it seems to curl up with a good book and a cup of green tea—or green tea supplement —a brisk walk will do more to melt that ring around your middle. The catechins in green tea are a source of antioxidants and may have cardioprotective effects. But an analysis of data on green tea supplements and weight loss showed only statistically non-significant weight loss in overweight or obese adults. And green tea had no effect on keeping the weight off.

7 Foods to Help You Control Your Blood Pressure

04:04
7 Foods to Help You Control Your Blood Pressure Hypertension is a medical condition that makes your blood flow through your arteries much faster than it should. There are several issues that can influence this phenomenon and make your blood pressure reach potentially dangerous levels. The factors that affect your blood pressure the most are: Constantly being stressed Regularly consuming red meat and high-cholesterol foods Smoking Alcohol Having a sedentary lifestyle Because this condition doesn’t have obvious symptoms, it’s hard to catch before it’s too late. To prevent serious problems, start by adding these foods to your diet: 1. Bananas A average-sized banana has about 450 grams of potassium, making it one of the most powerful natural medicines for controlling blood pressure. That’s because this mineral helps your body control how salt is processed in your body. As you already know, consuming too much salt will surely affect your blood pressure. Along with watching your salt consumption. you must pay serious attention to your potassium levels. A potassium deficiency can cause sodium imbalances and compromise many bodily functions. 2. Pumpkin seeds You’ll find managing you blood pressure to be much easier if you start eating pumpkin seeds. Thanks to their high zinc content, they can help reverse the effects of hypertension. When your body doesn’t get enough zinc, your arteries will end up losing elasticity, which will result in inflammation. Pumpkin seeds also taste great and are an excellent source of: Protein Fatty acids Minerals Amino acids All of these also act as a good anti-inflammatory, emollients, and anti-parasite remedy. 3. Garlic Garlic will, without a doubt, help you control your blood pressure. It doesn’t just act as a blood thinner but also helps treat conditions such as: Hardening of your arteries, or arteriosclerosis Heart attacks Coronary heart disease This is due to the great amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and manganese in garlic. 4. Yogurt The consumption of calcium is very important, both for children and adults. When you regularly eat calcium-rich foods and get the recommended 100 to 150 milligrams, you’ll be lowering your risk of elevated blood pressure. Yogurt provides your body with a wide variety of nutrients, including calcium, protein, potassium, and magnesium. Calcium in particular will help you manage your blood pressure because it keeps your blood pH under control. That keeps your body in an alkaline state that prevents your blood pressure from rising. 5. Potatoes Potatoes are very healthy if you eat them in the right amounts and cooked the right way. Remember when we mentioned how important potassium is when it comes to blood pressure? Well, you should know that potatoes are a significant source of potassium. This mineral will help you control your blood pressure by lowering your sodium levels. In addition, they’re rich in magnesium. Magnesium reduces your stress levels and improves your immune system. 6. Watermelon seeds People tend to throw these seeds out, unaware of how good they can be for their health. These little things contain curcurbitin, a substance that has the ability to support kidney function and dilate your blood vessels. That makes them ideal for fighting high blood pressure. As if that weren’t enough, if you deal with arthritis as well, they can be doubly beneficial. Put some slightly crushed watermelon seeds in a container with boiling water, let sit for at least an hour and a half, and eat small amounts over the course of the day. We recommend reading: 5 Things About Watermelon You Probably Did Not Know 7. Onions Just like garlic, onions have superpowers for your arteries and your whole body. What Are Signs of a Vitamin K Overdose?

05:07
The primary signs of a vitamin K overdose are digestive; people usually feel nauseous or queasy, and often vomit. Diarrhea is also common as the body attempts to rid itself of excesses. Young children and those who are immuno-compromised are sometimes also prone to developing jaundice, a yellowing of the skin related to poor liver function; skin rash, irritation, and low levels of iron in the blood have also been reported. Most overdoses aren’t serious and will resolve themselves naturally with time, provided the vitamin’s use is discontinued. Still, if the symptoms persist for more than a day or so, people are usually advised to get medical attention to rule out potentially serious conditions. Understanding the Vitamin Generally Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin responsible for the production of blood clotting factor. It is produced by bacteria in the small intestine, and found in green leafy vegetables, meat, and dairy products. The kind found in food is known as vitamin K1, or phylloquinone. Vitamin K2, a group of compounds known as menaquinones, is produced in the body. The third kind, vitamin K3 or menadione, is a synthetic version and most commonly associated with vitamin K overdose. It’s difficult if not impossible to overdose on the vitamin as it occurs in foods, since getting enough to experience reactions would require far more food than normal people could eat. Supplementation and pure extracts are usually where the risk lies. Vitamin K is available in supplements for people who do not get enough in their diet, as well as those with blood clotting disorders. Most over-the-counter supplements and multivitamins contain vitamin K1, since it is less likely to be associated with overdose. Additionally, a vitamin K1 injection is routinely given to newborns in the United States and parts of Europe. A newborn's intestines do not contain bacteria yet, and very little vitamin K is carried in breast milk. Vitamin K overdose in a newborn can be quite serious; as it can cause hemolytic anemia, a serious disorder caused by the premature rupture of red blood cells. Preventing this is usually a matter of paying close attention to dosages and baby weight. Nausea, Vomiting, and Diarrhea Digestive troubles are among the most common symptoms of an overdose, and usually begin mildly. People may feel a bit queasy shortly after taking the supplements, for instance, and feeling of nausea are usually most pronounced when sitting or standing quickly. Vomiting and diarrhea can occur, too, though if either lasts for more than a day or so medical help may be needed to prevent serious dehydration. Jaundice and Anemia Jaundice is a condition marked by excess bilirubin levels in the blood that the liver is unable to process or filter out. It usually causes the skin and eyes to take on a yellow pigmentation, and can be deadly if not treated. It’s thought that excessive levels of vitamin K in the bloodstream can trigger absorption problems, and in most cases stopping supplementation will reverse the problem. Anemia, which is a blood iron deficiency, is another possibility. In this instance, the excess K levels can prevent iron from being synthesized from food. Iron deficiency can be serious, so getting the issue corrected promptly is usually quite important. Skin Rash and Irritation People experiencing a vitamin K overdose might also develop a rash or patches of itchy, irritated skin. These can occur most anywhere on the body but tend to be most common on the hands and arms. Sometimes the itchiness can be alleviated with creams or ointments, but not always, since much of the actual irritation is internal — it’s just manifesting on the skin. Special Concerns Pregnant women are generally discouraged from taking vitamin K supplements since the risks to unborn children haven’t been closely studied. In addition, children taking vitamin K supplements should be carefully monitored for symptoms of overdose. Vitamin K3, which is the most likely to be toxic, is not typically recommended for children at all, and in any event all doses should be carefully monitored and calibrated to the child’s weight. Possibility of Allergic Reaction and Drug Interaction There can be other problems with vitamin K besides an overdose. Allergic reaction is possible, and more likely with vitamin K3. People with certain diseases or conditions should consult a health care provider before taking vitamin K. Patients with liver disease may suffer adverse reactions, as will people with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Those with intestinal issues, such as irritable bowel disease, may not be able to fully absorb this vitamin orally, so an injected form is preferred. Additionally, patients taking warfarin or other blood thinners should not take vitamin K supplements because it can counteract their effects.

Krill Oil Benefits - Incredible Health Results and Reviews

http://www.nutritionforest.com/krill-oil-500-mg.html http://www.nutritionforest.com Krill Oil 500mg with omega 3, 6 +9 & EPA, DHA Krill oil is extracted from Krill, a species of Antarctica, scientifically known as Euphausia Superba. It is a small swimming crustacean with an elongated body, typically become prey to larger animals like baleen whales. These species are found in cold water of Antarctica. Red krill oil is considered wholesome for body as it recovers the deficiency of omega fatty acids which we lack in our daily diet. Omega 3 fatty acids are panacea for all diseases. No doubt some people prefer having fish, being oblivious to its contamination on account of industrial pollutants, to gain omega fatty acids and ultimately they fall ill badly. Thus, by keeping this in mind, we provide Krill oil softgel so as to fulfill the needs of omega fatty acids without any harm and risk. 500mg per serving is appropriate quantity so that it can digest easily. Krill oil is used for heart disease, high levels of certain blood fats (triglycerides), high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, osteoarthritis, depression, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and painful menstrual periods. How does it work? Krill oil contains fatty acids similar to fish oil. These fats are thought to be beneficial fats that decrease swelling, lower cholesterol, and make blood platelets less sticky. When blood platelets are less sticky they are less likely to form clots. krill oil dangers krill oil benefits krill oil vs fish oil krill oil side effects krill oil costco krill oil reviews neptune krill oil mega red krill oil benefits of krill oil for skin is krill oil good for your skin benefit of krill oil omega-3 pros and cons of krill oil krill oil benefits weight loss krill oil benefits for hair krill oil benefits for arthritis krill oil benefits dr oz super krill oil and weight loss krill oil weight loss reviews fish oil or krill oil for weight loss krill oil weight loss testimonials mega red krill oil weight loss omega 3 krill oil weight loss does krill oil help with weight loss krill oil dosage krill oil for dogs krill oil costco krill oil amazon krill oil vs fish oil krill oil or fish oil krill oil walmart krill oil side effects krill oil for cats krill oil supplements krill oil acne krill oil at walmart krill oil astaxanthin krill oil and gout krill oil adhd krill oil and diabetes krill oil arthritis krill oil at costco krill oil allergy vitamin a krill oil a good krill oil what is a krill oil krill oil a blood thinner krill oil benefits krill oil best krill oil better than fish oil krill oil best brand krill oil bodybuilding krill oil blood thinner krill oil bulletproof krill oil benefits for skin krill oil brain krill oil benefits joints h&b krill oil krill oil b krill oil b active krill oil capsules krill oil comparison krill oil cvs krill oil cholesterol krill oil cancer krill oil compared to fish oil krill oil cats krill oil coupon krill oil constipation krill oil c reactive protein vitamin c and krill oil krill oil dr oz krill oil dogs krill oil dha krill oil dosage for dogs krill oil danger krill oil dosage for inflammation krill oil dangers or side effects krill oil dry eyes krill oil definition vitamin d krill oil vit d in krill oil vitamin d content krill oil krill oil epa dha krill oil examine krill oil effects krill oil eczema krill oil eyes krill oil en español krill oil ebay

How to INCREASE BLOOD FLOW To BRAIN? 5 WAYS to IMPROVE BRAIN CIRCULATION and Your BRAIN HEALTH

11:36
How to IMPROVE BLOOD CIRCULATION to the BRAIN? Blood circulation is vital for your body's survival. Blood transports oxygen, fuel and nutrients to all organs of the body, including the brain. It also moves toxins and waste products to the appropriate organs for excretion. When blood flow to your brain is disrupted, you can succumb to a stroke. Circulatory System Your circulatory system includes your heart, veins and arteries. Their job is to circulate blood throughout your body. The heart is a muscle and needs to be strong while your arteries and veins should be pliable and without obstructions for you to maintain optimum health. One common cause of poor circulation is high cholesterol levels, which can cause platelet aggregation, or arterial build-up, and lead to heart attack or stroke, depending on where the blockage occurs. Exercise to Strengthen Your Heart Since your heart is a muscle, it needs to be exercised or it can weaken. A cardiovascular workout several times a week can help keep it pumping efficiently. Proper exercising can also negate obesity, which can strain and weaken your entire circulatory system and reduce overall circulation. Yoga is a low-impact exercise that can stretch all your muscles and teach you breathing techniques that can increase blood flow. Because certain exercises can be dangerous to people with underlying health issues, you should speak to your physician before starting any exercise routine. Your Diet The foods you eat can have a huge impact on your circulation. An abundance of saturated fats can lead to blocked arteries. Large amounts of salt can lead to or exacerbate high blood pressure. Processed foods, such as white flour and white sugar, can deny your body the necessary nutrients to run smoothly. To help reduce high cholesterol, the Mayo Clinic suggests eating plenty of soluble fiber found in foods such as oatmeal and apples. Soluble fiber can absorb cholesterol before it gets to the blood stream. Omega-3 fatty acids from fatty fish such as herring or salmon can reduce blood pressure. Olive and canola oils, and nuts can keep arteries healthy and pliable. Alternative Treatments Herbalist Michael Tierra suggests using cardiovascular stimulants such as cayenne, ginger or ginseng to improve circulation. The University of Maryland Medical Center mentions that hawthorn and rosemary can help with poor circulation by providing antioxidants. Herbs such as ephedra and guarana may have stimulant attributes but are considered dangerous, as they can make the heart rate and blood pressure rise rapidly. In 2009, the FDA banned the sale of supplements containing ephedra. Always speak to your physician before adding any herbs or supplements to your diet. What Foods to Eat for a Good Blood Flow? Good blood flow is essential for proper brain function and oxygen transport to vital organs in the body. Because your heart is the pump that keeps your blood circulating, it's important to maintain a strong heart. Eating a diet rich in heart-healthy foods is one way to help ensure that your body experiences efficient blood flow. Foods Containing L-Arginine L-arginine is an amino acid that your body converts to nitric oxide, a substance that helps relax and maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and arteries. Nitric oxide is also a signaling molecule that instructs arteries to dilate, or widen, which allows blood to flow more freely, helping reduce blood pressure and promoting cardiovascular health. According to Don Colbert, author of "The New Bible Cure for High Blood Pressure," good food sources of L-arginine include chicken, fish, soy nuts, beans, dairy and red meat. If you have high blood pressure, talk with your doctor before taking L-arginine supplements to ensure proper dosage for your condition. Vitamin E-Rich Foods Vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin, plays an important role in efficient blood flow because it dilates blood vessels. Eating foods rich in vitamin E is a good way to keep your blood moving, according to Sherry Torkos, author of "The Canadian Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine." Good food sources of vitamin E include nuts, seeds, whole grains and leafy green vegetables. If you're taking blood thinners, talk with your doctor before taking vitamin E supplements because they may increase the risk of bleeding. Foods Containing Omega-3 Fatty Acids Omega-3 fatty acids keep your blood flowing. People with blood-circulation problems such as varicose veins, for example, benefit by eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids because these unsaturated fatty acids stimulate blood flow and help break down fibrin, or blood clots, according to Shubhangini Joshi, author of "Nutrition and Dietetics." Good food sources of omega-3 fatty acids include nuts, olive oil, canola oil, flax seeds and oily fish such as salmon, tuna, sardines and herring.

Know what Your Urine Color Tells about Your Health

02:02
Know what Your Urine Color Tells about Your Health Fluid intake dilutes the yellow pigment in urine, so the more you drink, the clearer your urine looks. When you drink too little water or other fluids, the body becomes dehydrated and the color becomes a more concentrated yellow. 1. Cloudy or Murky. If your urine appears cloudy or murky, it can be a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI) or kidney stones. In the case of a UTI, the urine will also have a strong ammonia, foul or even slightly sweet odor. The bacteria causing the infection produce the foul smell as a by-product. 2. Red. If your urine is a shade of red or pink, it could be due to a variety of causes. One simple reason behind this could be what you ate a few hours back. Foods like carrots, blackberries, beets and rhubarb can turn your pee a pinkish-red color. Some of the compounds that give color to these colorful foods are excreted in the urine once the kidneys finish their processing work. If this is the case, your urine color will be back to normal within a day. 3. Orange. If your urine has a light orange shade, there is nothing much to worry about. This possibly indicates mild dehydration. Other minor causes include eating a lot of foods rich in beta-carotene, which is excreted via your urine. Supplements and medicines like vitamin B complex and several blood thinners can also cause orange-yellow urine. 4. Brown. If you notice your urine color has changed to dark brown or cola-colored, it can be due to diet, medication, or certain health issues. How To lower Blood Pressure Naturally With Nattokinase And Exercise

13:09
http://herbreview.org/how-to-lower-blood-pressure-naturally-with-nattokinase-and-exercise/ Nattokinase, at a dose of 4000FUs, lowers BP quickly - especially if taken shortly before exercise. Aerobic exercise works best. Walking is a good example. In this video I demonstrate the BP lowering effects of nattokinase with jogging and sprinting, but I think walking for 45 minutes will have the desired effect. So what is nattokinase? It's an enzyme that is extracted from traditional Japanese soy food natto. The enzyme was discovered only recently by Dr Hiroyuki Sumi in 1980 at the University of Chicago. So what is nattokinase so important? The body produces several enzymes that promote clot formation, but only one, plasmin, to dissolve them. Furthermore, levels of plasmin reduces with aging. The effect of nattokinase resembles that of plasmin. And it's a fairly inexpensive supplement when compared to blood thinning drugs. Furthermore, it works even better than pharmaceutical drugs. Nattokinase does not inhibit body's reaction to form new clots around a trauma, but pharmaceutical drugs will inhibit critical coagulation. Nattokinase is a natural agent that thins and dissolves blood clots effectively, with relative safety, without side effects. It's the Aspirin strategy without the pitfalls. The traditional Japanese food Natto has been used safely for over 1000 years. The potent fibrinolytic enzyme nattokinase appears to be safe based upon the long-term traditional use of this food. Nattokinase can be used preventatively. It is a naturally occurring, food based dietary supplement that has demonstrated stability in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as to changes in pH and temperature. Furthermore, regular use of nattokinase may help prevent your cognitive abilities as you age. Blood clots cause strokes and SENILITY. Nattokinase can keep blood clots from forming or dissolve existing clots. And it's more effective than blood-thinning drugs. Your blood needs to be just right - not too thick, not too thin. The body makes enzymes that cause clotting so it doesn't keep bleeding after surgery or injury. But the body makes only one primary enzyme to thin blood - plasmin. Nattokinase works a lot like plasmin - but doesn't cause excessive bleeding like blood thinners, and doesn't have side effects. Thrombotic clogging of the cerebral blood vessels may be a cause of dementia. It has been estimated that sixty percent of senile dementia patients in Japan is caused by thrombus. Thrombotic diseases typically include cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, cardiac infarction and angina pectoris, and also include diseases caused by blood vessels with lowered flexibility, including senile dementia and diabetes (caused by pancreatic dysfunction). Nattokinase holds great promise to support such patients. Scientists at Yonsei University in Korea tested 86 individuals aged 20 to 80 whose blood pressure ranged from 130 to 159 mmHg. Each received either nattokinase at 2000 FU (fibrinolytic units) per capsule daily or a placebo. After eight weeks, those on nattokinase had significantly lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The researchers conclude, "These findings suggest that increased intake of nattokinase may play an important role in preventing and treating hypertension." Nattokinase is an enzyme extracted from natto. One of nature's most powerful blood thinners. It dissolves clots and prevents their formation in some cases. A Taiwanese study showed no adverse effect from two capsules of nattokinase (2000 FU per capsule) a day for two months. It may help reduce blood pressure as thins blood. It dissolves fibrin (tiny fibers) that make up the meshwork of the blood clot. Or it may act like plasmin - the natural enzyme in human blood that maintains the right viscosity. The higher the dosage, the stronger the blood thinning effect, so need to be mindful of that. A word of caution - combining nattokinase with warfarin, plavix, effient or other prescribed blood thinners; aspirin or any other herb or medicine that thins the blood or prevent blood clotting may have a dangerous additive effect and lead to excessive blood thinning. Take nattokinase on an empty stomach.

Is Spinach Good For Diabetes

03:21
Is Spinach Good or Bad For Diabetes Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is spinach good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Let’s play a little word association game. I am going to say a word and then I will try and guess what word popped into your mind. I am pretty good at it. But I am going to do it just this once. Okay, ready for the word? Spinach I am going to say that the first word that you thought of when I said spinach was Popeye. Popeye was strong to the finish because of his spinach. Why? Let’s take a quick look at the nutritional value associated with spinach. It is very low in calories and fats (100 g of raw leaves provide just 23 calories). Fresh 100 g of spinach contains about 25% of daily intake of iron Fresh leaves are rich source of several vital anti-oxidants like vitamin A, vitamin C, lutein and beta-carotene Spinach leaves are an excellent source of vitamin K. 100 g of fresh greens provides 402% of daily vitamin-K requirements. It contains loads of many B-complex vitamins such as vitamin-B6 (pyridoxine), thiamin (vitamin B-1), riboflavin, folates and niacin. 100 g of fresh spinach has 47% of daily recommended levels of vitamin C. Its leaves also contain minerals like potassium, manganese, magnesium, copper and zinc. It is also good source of omega-3 fatty acids. That is a lot of good stuff packed in to those green leaves. Remember these numbers are for uncooked spinach. The American Diabetes Association denotes spinach as a super food for type 1 and type 2 diabetics. Low in calories and high in vitamins, spinach is one of the most nutrient-dense foods in existence. For the person with diabetes, it is important to note that spinach contains an antioxidant known as alpha-lipoic acid, which has been shown to lower glucose levels and increase insulin sensitivity. So, I guess the answer is pretty obvious by looking at all the evidence, YES, spinach is good for the person with diabetes. With all the vitamins and minerals packed into such a small package, you can’t go wrong. Try spinach as a substitute for lettuce on sandwiches or salads. One quick note, because spinach is so high in Vitamin K, if you are on blood thinners, you need to be careful as Vitamin K is a major factor in the blood clotting mechanism in your body. I hope this answered your question is spinach good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.
