They are made with coconut oil, which is mainly saturated – and saturated fats are considered the best type of fat for increased testosterone production. -5oz of cooked ground beef - a good source for carnitine which is linked to increased androgen receptor density and sensitivity…meaning that it increases the amount of “testosterone receptors”, the receptor sites where androgens (testosterone and DHT) actually bind into. -Salt and pepper -2 Tablespoons Mexican seasoning -A splash of water For the toppings, we’ll use a palm-size portion of: -Sliced black olives -Diced tomatoes -Diced avocado - These are jam-packed with monounsaturated fatty acids, which are known for increasing testosterone production. Spicy Sweet Potatoes - Lynn's Recipes

A delicious side dish that is spicy and sweet. Super easy and requires ingredients that you probably already have on hand. Adapted from a recipe on Pinterest. 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1" cubes 2 -1/2 Tablespoons olive oil 2-1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon chili powder ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Honey Put sweet potatoes that have been peeled and cubed in a bowl. Combine olive oil, brown sugar, chili powder, salt and cayenne pepper with the potatoes and stir well. Let sit on counter for 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes to make sure everything is well coated. Spray a cookie sheet or line it with non-stick aluminum foil. Use a cookie sheet that has sides. Pour the potatoes and coating on the cookie sheet a drizzle with honey. Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 40-45 minutes or until tender, stirring about every 10 minutes. Pour into a bowl or container. Stir in the oats and chia seeds. Add the berries and allow to soak overnight or for a couple of hours. Lunch: Baked Sweet Potatoes with Baked Beans // Calories: 694 200g Baked Beans (I used a can of Amy's Organic) 350g Baked sweet potatoes (cut into fries and bake at 400F for about 40 minutes on parchment paper) 1 TBSP tahini 140g spinach 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 1/2 cup salsa Directions: Arrange everything in a bowl and devour. NOM. Dinner: Red Lentil Chili with zucchini noodles // Calories: 708 (Use 1/3 of the following recipe for 1 portion) Red Lentil Chili Recipe: 1 cup red lentils 200g bacon tempeh 1 large can (796g) crushed tomatoes 220g mushrooms 3 stalks celery 150g sweet corn Spices to taste: garlic powder, chilli powder, smoked paprika, turmeric, salt The rest: 600g zucchini (about 2 large) 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 1 tbsp tahini Directions: 1)In a large pot, bring 3 cups water + crushed tomatoes + lentils + chopped bacon tempeh + spices to a boil. 2) Reduce heat and simmer for 15 min. 3)Then add chopped mushrooms, corn, celery and simmer for another 10-15 min, or until everything is cooked to your liking. Serve on a bed of zucchini noodles (TIP: use a vegetable peeler to make the noodles if you don't have a spiralizer). Top with tahini and nutritional yeast. Dessert: approx 100 calories of chocolate Total calories for the day - 2209

The harshness of onions comes from the sulfur in the soil. There are areas of the country where the soil gives us sweeter onions. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. 2. Add garlic and cook, stirring for about 30 seconds. 3. Add yellow squash, zucchini, salt and pepper. Stir and cook for about 3 minutes. 4. Stir in the red and yellow tomatoes and continue cooking just until vegetables are tender (about 3 more minutes). 5. First of all, a healthy breakfast offers numerous health benefits, as it can help you lose weight, keep you full longer, provide the energy needed for the entire day, and help you reach the recommended servings. Just try these 5 suggestions and you will instantly feel the improvements: Include Protein Proteins are the most satisfying nutrients. When the stomach is empty, it releases ghrelin, while when it is stretched, this secretion is stopped, sending a signal to brain cells to increase hunger and the secretion of gastric acid and gastrointestinal motility, and make the needed preparations for the consumption of food. Studies have shown that dietary protein significantly affects the production of ghrelin. Moreover, experts have found that a breakfast rich in protein quieted the ghrelin outputs. Hence, you can add nuts, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a scoop of protein powder, or an organic peanut butter to your breakfast every morning. Replace Sweet with savory Sweet breakfasts, such as cereals, loaf bread, or muffins, are loaded with sugar and dramatically increase the blood sugar levels. Ingredients: 3 cups oatmeal 6 scoops protein powder (vanilla flavor suggested 5 tablespoons peanut butter (cinnamon raisin flavor suggested) 1 cup almond mlk 1/3 cup honey 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Directions: Combine all ingredients in bowl and stir. If needed, add a little water to help with mixing. The goal here is to keep the mix as dry as possible. If you add too much water you won't be able to form these into bars or bites. Once everything is thoroughly mixed, make small size bites or bars on tin foil. With the amounts shown I was able to make 18 bites. Once done, place in refrigerator for 30-45 minute or until firm. WELCOME MY FRIENDS BACK TO THE HERCULES SERIES! In this episode I re-introduce the series and show my starting points, from here we will build weekly and bi-weekly in episodes so you can follow along with and track my progress along with me! I'm starting about 190 lbs and I'm aiming for about 20-30 lbs of weight over the course of the next 12 months or so! Hopefully you guys enjoy the series, below is a list of many of the meals that I will eating on a regular basis, enjoy! Vegan Sandwhich: -Tofurky Deli Slices -Daiya Cheddar Cheese Slices -JustMayo (or vegainnaise) -Lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUOK8ei24Mc Beandilla/Mandilla: -Burrito Tortilla -Half can of vegetarian Rosarita -Beyond Beef crumbles -Daiya Cheese Shreds Video (also included is a vegan mass gainer recipe): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXys_fxf_tI Bacon & Scrambled Tofu: -Half a block of extra firm tofu -Spices (chile, garlic, onion, smoked paprika etc.) -Benevolant Bacon Directions: Drain tofu and press it with towels to dry. Crumble the tofu in your fingers to create the "scramble" pieces. Cook these in olive/coconut oil, just the non stick spray, or nothing at all until they are browned. In another frying pan also cook the benevolant bacon (by sweet earth) until crispy. Serve with ketchup. Black Bean Pasta: -Black Bean Pasta -Spaghetti Squash -"Meat portion" - textured soy protein, gardein meatballs/chicken strips/beef, beyond beef crumble, etc. -Nutritional Yeast (use like parmesian cheese as a topping for extra fiber/protein/B-vitamins) Video (13 minutes in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srXawqWjrMs Vegan Pizza: -Pre-made pizza crust (or purchase dough/make your own dough) -Sauce -Daiya Cheese shreds -Alternative meat source (benevolant bacon, beyond beef crumbles, tofurky italian sausage, etc) Directions: Just make a pizza like you normally would. Sauce on crust, then cheese then any sort of veggies or fake meats you might want. Cook in the oven at 400 for 15-25 minutes depending on how crunchy you like it. Serve with vegan ranch. Meat & Veggies: -Alternative meat -Veggies (usually green beans, brocolli, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, kale, baby corn, boy choy, carrots work best) -Opt. Soy sauce Directions: Simply oil or non stick spray a pan and cook the "meat" in one pan while cooking the veggies in another pan. Optionally, add soy sauce to the veggies while cooking so they taste a bit better. Soup/noodles: -Miso -Noodles (you can totally use normal rice noodles, not the weird tofu ones shown in video) -Veggies -Fake meats -Sriracha Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U47mmAvncT0 Fat-Free French Fries: -Potatoes -Opt. non stick spray Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZKZ08SsF6c Those are some of my favorite go to meals that get tons of calories in but are also relatively simple to make. Also, you may have noticed that I'm a fry pan kinda guy hahaha. A lot of this stuff is the same as you have been eating just replaced with other things for example I'm going to list out a bunch of the fake meats that I've tried and enjoyed. Fake Meats: Tofu (how to make it the most simple way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiBbVU2w-2o) Tempeh (this is a less processed version of soy beans that has a fully different flavor and texture, prepare this in squares, brown all sides then add sauce and carmelize) Seitan (this is wheat gluten, purely protein. Great for including into anything but also great for sandwhiches) Gardein (mandarin chicken, teriyaki chicken, szechuan beef, turkey cutlet, meatballs, etc.) Beyond Meat (ground beefless crumbles, burger patties, plain chicken strips) Sweet Earth (benevolant bacon | also have great vegan frozen burritos) TSP/TVP (textured soy/vegetable protein) Daiya, Sweet Earth, Lenny & Larry, Clif bars, Beyond Meat, Amy's (some vegan stuff), morning star (some vegan stuff), Chipotle, Dennys (build your own veggie patty burger), asian foods/restaraunts, Taco Bell (bean burrito, fresca style), Major Pizza Chains (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAr3FF-Aurg). Just a few brands, companies and restaruants off the top that are vegan. When I think about the 30 years I struggled with back pain, it brings me to tears. I missed out on so much including my daughter's college graduation when I ended up in the hospital and my father's eightieth birthday celebration when I couldn't do anything other than stand up straight and still because I was in so much pain. My back pain ruled my life. When I had back spasms, I couldn't sit, lie down or move; many times I couldn't work. I could only stand still and ride out the pain. I sought out help from chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and physical therapists, which provided only temporary relief. My pain got to be so debilitating that my doctor recommended I have a device implanted in my spine that would "trick" my body into not feeling the pain. This made no sense to me because I knew it wouldn't solve the cause of my pain. If I could resolve the cause, there wouldn't be any pain. But I had to do something since I was already taking four pain pills per day, and my doctor said that over time I would need even more pain medication to keep the pain away. And because of the back pain, I was only getting two to three hours of sleep each night. The lack of sleep left me feeling anxious and irritable, and my memory was awful. The pain pills caused chronic constipation and heartburn, and my hair was falling out in clumps. Before moving forward with the drastic surgery, I decided to try one more thing...nutrition. I figured I didn't have anything to lose. I have been a long-time listener of the Dishing Up Nutrition radio show and decided to make a nutrition counseling appointment. At my first appointment with Dar, I told her my goals were to be drug free and pain free; and within two months, Dar delivered. Dar designed a careful eating plan for me that addressed certain food sensitivities contributing to my pain.
