http://www.arthritistreatmentcenter.com Some think doctors order too many vitamin D tests. When it comes to rheumatoid arthritis, though, we may be doing quite the opposite… next RA linked to low vitamin D Sam Worrad writing in Rheumatology Update reported rheumatoid arthritis patients are twice as likely to suffer from vitamin D deficiency compared with the general population, according to a new Australian study. Prevalence of vitamin D deficiency was 65% in RA patients compared to 32% in matched controls, the study of over 200 RA patients and controls showed. RA patients lacking in vitamin D were more likely to experience pain, swollen joints, tender joints and morning stiffness, according to the study conducted in association with the Menzies Research Institute in Tasmania. Comment: Chicken or egg. Does vitamin D cause more issues with RA or does RA predispose to vitamin D deficiency. http://youtu.be/bZkOBtO_1z0

Arthritis – Know Foods to Eat and Foods to Avoid Many diseases, including arthritis are caused by chronic low-grade inflammation. It is now widely accepted that some foods fuel inflammation, while others make it better. The inflammatory response is connected with the body’s immune function. A big part of the immune system is located in our digestive tract. Therefore, it’s no surprise that when the gut is not looked after, this causes a domino effect. It disturbs normal immune reactions and turns a healthy protective mechanism (which inflammation essentially is) into a foe. A lot of foods aid in removal of the pain (garlic, ginger, turmeric), but lots of them also worsen the issue. IN CASE OF JOINT PAIN, AVOID THESE: RED AND PROCESSED MEAT Both have chemical purine and nitrite that make pain and inflammation worse. These foods also have toxins called glycation end products AGEs and they make inflammation more serious. A 2014 study of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences said that red meat glycan develops more inflammation and progress of cancer. Another study of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition made a link between red meat and inflammation markers. Replace the red processed meat with veggies and fruits. SUGARS AND ARTIFICIAL SWEETS. Too much sugar makes more AGEs and inflammation. Sugar triggers cytokines, the inflammation agent triggers. Also, the sugar causes weight gain and pressure on every joint. Also, avoid sodas and sweet drinks. A study of 2014, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition said regularly eating these things makes rheumatoid arthritis in women. Avoid the sodas, sweets, cereals with sugar, snacks, punches, pastries and candies. As healthy options consider stevia, honey or molasses. DAIRY. They worsen the pain because they have high amount of the protein causer of inflammation. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine said this same protein also irritates surrounding joint tissue. That pain is also linked to saturated fats in dairy (cheese, milk, butter). Replace the pasteurized milk with almond, soy milk, tofu, margarine or similar. CORN OIL. This oil is full of omega 6 acids that are harmful for us. The Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism stated in one study that more omega 6 acids make more inflammation. Such foods are salad dressings, grapeseed and safflower oil, peanut, soy. Do not remove the omega 6 fully, it is still needed but in moderation. Eat more omega 3 acids of olive oil, flaxseed, nuts and pumpkin seeds. GRAINS AND REFINED FLOUR. Due to high glycemic index they trigger more AGEs and inflammation. Nutrients study published that daily eating wheat items and grain cereals can develop autoimmune diseases chronically. Such grains have little B vitamin and have empty calories. Eating them daily means more risk of diseases like heart issues, diabetes and even cancer. Replace the pasta, white flour, white rice, white bread with coconut/almond/whole grain/brown rice. EGGS. Eating them regularly means more pain and swelling in joints. The yolk in the egg makes inflammation since it has arachidonic acid that makes prostaglandins (causers of inflammation). They also have saturated fats, harmful too. For breakfast, at least remove the yolk and have just the whites. WHEY PROTEINS. The casein and gluten make the inflammation serious. The casein makes uric acid inside us. Too much of this acid inflames the joints and other parts too. This is called gout and can be serious up to the point of damage to the joints. Those sensitive to gluten foods can have chronic problem with this. A study of the Journal Nutrition Biochemistry, 2013, was said gluten free foods aid in inflammation reducing, adiposity and insulin resistance. Opt for the healthy options like lean proteins (beans, seeds, nuts) and less whey. REFINED SALT. This is the table salt we use daily. It is full of additives and chemicals that impair fluid balance inside us. Also, this salt has no natural minerals like phosphorus or silicon. Limit this salt use and you will keep all the calcium needed for healthy bones, against fractures or osteoporosis even. Eat it in minimal doses or buy Himalayan pink salt or sea salt. Also, avoid junk food – it is too salty. MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE FOODS. The MSG additive makes better flavor in store bought foods like frozen snacks, chips, frozen dinner, Chinese food, salad dressing and soups. It is especially bad for those with rheumatoid arthritis. Eat fresh and natural, homemade foods. Avoid the aspartame foods too, like artificial sweeteners. BEER. Too much alcohol impacts the joints first. Those having beer often and too much, have worse joint health. the purines of it turn to uric acid and this inflames the joints. Beer also has gluten in it and those with fragile joints must avoid it all the time.

https://www.arthritistreatmentcenter.com Vitamin D… what’s the real scoop when it comes to arthritis… next Vitamin D As Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis Deborah Mitchell writing in EMax Health reported a high dose of vitamin D taken by people who have rheumatoid arthritis and vitamin D deficiency can result in a significant improvement in their symptoms within a short time. That’s the consensus of a new study published in the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. The randomized, open-label study involved 150 adults who with rheumatoid arthritis who had been taking disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) for a mean of more than three years. At the beginning of the study, nearly half (49%, 73 individuals) were found to be deficient in vitamin D. The participants were given 60,000 IU vitamin D per week for six weeks, followed by 60,000 IU per month for a total duration of three months. Investigators evaluated vitamin D levels and disease activity among 59 (80.8%) of the vitamin D deficient patients who completed the 12 weeks of treatment and observed the following: • Significant improvement in disease activity score • Significant improvement in serum vitamin D levels from a mean of 10.05 ng/mL to 57.21 ng/mL. Comment: RA is a risk factor for vitamin D deficiency. It appears that replenishing vitamin D may help the arthritis. https://youtu.be/aJLBJBN2x8U

Vitamin-C is probably one of the most talked about vitamins around, yet almost one third of Americans aren’t consuming enough! A potent antioxidant, Vitamin-C known to fight free radicals in the body and plays a vital role in overall health. Concerned you might be Vitamin-C deficient? Here are some signs you should be watching for: 1.Slow Wound Healing If you notice your cuts and scrapes are slow to heal, have a closer look at your diet. As Vitamin-C is essential to the formation of collagen in the skin – a new connective tissue that binds a healing wound, a lack will lead to slow healing. Along with playing a role in collagen formation in healing wounds, Vitamin-C acts as a powerful antioxidant and immune-system booster – both of which encourage faster healing. 2.Dry or Splitting Hair and Nails A shiny head of hair and strong nails can often be a good indicator of a balanced-diet. Likewise, a lackluster mane that is dry and splitting may highlight a problem. Because hair is a non-essential tissue, nutrients such as Vitamin-C are sent to more important organs and tissues first, before making their way to the hair. So if you have less than ideal levels of the vitamin, you may find your hair is suffering. Furthermore, Vitamin-C is vital for the absorption of iron – a deficiency of which can cause chronic hair loss and slow hair growth, along with brittle and concave nails. 3.Swollen and Painful Joints Pain and swelling of the joints caused by inflammatory arthritis may be another sign you need to overhaul your diet. A 2004 study, conducted in Great-Britain, found that people who had low levels of Vitamin-C were 3-times more likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis than those whose diets included foods rich in the vitamin. 4.Swollen, Bleeding or Inflamed Gums Oral-health problems, like swollen or bleeding gums or recurrent mouth ulcers, are often linked to suboptimal levels of Vitamin-C. Again, collagen is important as it supports the gums. It’s estimated that gums turn over at least 20% of their collagen every day, meaning regular hits of Vitamin-C are vital for good teeth and gums. Low levels of the vitamin are linked with an increased risk of gum-disease which can range from simple gum inflammation to major soft tissue damage! 5.Poor Immune Function The immune-system, our body’s protection against infection and disease, is strongly influenced by the intake of nutrients, particularly Vitamin-C. Several cells in our immune-system need the vitamin to perform their tasks so naturally a deficiency leads to a reduced resistance against certain pathogens. Getting enough Vitamin-C means that our immune system will be in tip-top shape to reduce the risk, severity and duration of certain infectious diseases. The National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements recommends that men over the age of 18 get 90-mg of Vitamin-C a day from their diet, while women need 75-mg. Foods contain high levels of Vitamin-C are Sweet red pepper, Orange juice, Grapefruit juice, Kiwifruit, broccoli And strawberries. While the main cause of asthma remains unknown, it is proven that lack of vitamin D has a great part of it. This vitamin decreases the fierceness and predominance of asthma symptoms. Also, it defeats the infections that cause narrowing of the air passage, thus hardening the breathing. 2. High blood pressure. The Journal of Investigative Medicine has published a study that claims that people with hypertension live better with the increased value of vitamin D. Moreover, a marker of this vitamin is known to balance the inflammation of the blood vessels and other signs of high blood pressure. 3. Gastrointestinal diseases. The deficiency of vitamin D is often connected with some conditions like Crohn’s disease and another disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Studies have shown that the Inflammatory bowel disease rates are higher in the places where the natural exposure to sunlight is lower and vice versa. 4. Viral infections. It is common knowledge that the viral infections are more frequent in winter when the sunlight and ultraviolet B ray’s exposure are at their lowest rate. This, together with a number of studies, indicates that vitamin D increases the immunity and the flu-fighting potential of the body. 5. Type 2 diabetes. A study, published in the journal AIDS, has shown that the symptoms of metabolic syndrome are noticeably worse as the case of HIV when there is a lack of vitamin D in the system. Also, this study has shown that if you expose yourself regularly to the natural sunlight, you will have lower chances to develop diabetes type 2. 6. Dental cavities. It was known for years that the lack of sunlight exposure causes health problems. Recently, scientists have connected the vitamin D deficiency with poor dental health such as dental caries. 7. Rheumatoid arthritis. A study in Canada has shown a connection between vitamin D deficiency and rheumatoid arthritis. People that have the lowest blood levels are the most exposed to this kind of disease. So, if you have this condition, you should expose yourself more to the sunlight. 8. Cancer. Any type of cancer is more eminent with people that have a lack of vitamin D. On the other hand, those who have the optimal level of this vitamin are considerably less likable to develop cancer. Foods that provide vitamin D include. Fatty fish, like tuna, mackerel, and salmon. Foods fortified with vitamin D, like some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals. Beef liver. Cheese. Egg yolks. So, these are some foods you can include in your daily diet to increase your vitamin D Values. Thanks for watching. Please like, comment, subscribe and share with your friends and family. Vitamin D could prevent rheumatoid arthritis - but much higher doses of the 'sunshine supplement' may be required in already-affected sufferers.Vitamin D may prevent inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, new research reveals. The so-called 'sunshine supplement' strengthens the immune system, which helps to prevent the body from attacking healthy cells and causing autoimmune conditions, such as arthritis.Rheumatoid arthritis, which causes joint swelling, may also benefit from vitamin D's anti-inflammatory effects.

How to relieve Arthritis naturally forever. http://www.AmeerRosic.com How to relieve arthritis naturally by avoiding Grains and Dairy. Arthritis is caused by the consumption of grains and dairy that cause leaky gut syndrome and inflammation of the joints. By avoiding Grains and Dairy your body is giving the environment to heal and finally fix arthritis forever! The Gut Connection to Rheumatoid Arthritis The purpose of the gastrointestinal tract (gut) is multi-fold. 1. It digests food into small easily absorbed particles, absorbs small food particles to then be converted into energy, attaches nutrients like vitamins and minerals to carrier proteins which then transport them across the gut lining into the bloodstream, detoxifies the chemicals we daily imbibe through our air, food and water, as it contains a major part of the chemical detoxification system of the body which protects us from cancer and all other diseases, and fights off infection,as it contains over half of the immune system which synthesizes immuno-globulins or antibodies that act as the first line of defence against infection, cancer and other diseases. The leaky gut syndrome is an extremely common problem, yet is seldom tested for. Remember this: if the gut is not totally healthy, you have no chance of healing anything else, regardless of the label on your condition. It doesn't matter what type of chronic pain you have, or if you have high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, prostatitis, cancer, or merely accelerated aging. You are stuck until the gut is healed. The leaky or hyperpermeable intestinal lining places a major burden on the body's ability to absorb amino acids, essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins. It would appear that nutrients could simply slip right on into the gut. Sadly the opposite is true. For in order for the body to absorb a mineral, a carrier protein must be attached. This protein must hook onto the mineral that actively carries it across the gut wall into the bloodstream. But when the bowel lining is damaged through inflammation the nutrient carrier proteins get damaged. In addition, the finger-like projections that line the gut and allow us to absorb food gets damaged. When these get destroyed, the result is malabsorption. So in addition to new food and chemical allergies and auto-immune diseases, the leaky gut victim may develop mineral and vitamin deficiencies, even in spite of taking adequate levels of them. What can cause the inflammation that leads to the leaky gut syndrome? Examples include: 1. Abnormal gut bugs, called flora(e.g.,unwantedbacteria,parasites,andprotozoa from contaminated food and water, and overgrowth of yeasts like Candida from antibiotics) 2. Chemicals that irritate the gut(e.g.ingested alcohol and food additives or inhaled toluene or formaldehyde from that new carpet or paint, and of course, NSAIDs) 3. Food irritants and allergens(e.g.eatingthingsthatyouknowbotheryouand processed foods with their long list of mysterious chemical ingredients) 4. Emotions like anger and worry(which dump stress hormones into the system and cause loss of protective nutrients) Genetic and acquired enzyme deficiencies (e.g. lactose deficiency and celiac disease), and more. " Functional Medicine " NightShade's and Arthritis Nightshade vegetables are among the foods that can trigger arthritis flares. Others feel their arthritis symptoms improve when nightshade vegetables are avoided. potatoes (not sweet potatoes) tomatoes eggplant sweet and hot peppers (including paprika, cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce) ground cherries tomatillos and tamarillos garden huckleberry and naranjillas pepinos and pimentos

There are many different types of arthritis and related conditions associated with it. More commonly occurring as people get older, common arthritis joint symptoms include pain, swelling, stiffness and a decreased range of motion. Arthritis can even cause chronic pain and changes in the joints. Fortunately, there are foods we can add to our diet that can help to reduce inflammation, pain and prevent arthritis symptoms. Lets discuss some foods that can help to fight against arthritis and reduce symptoms associated with this condition. 1. Ginger, a very healthy and popular spice, has beneficial phytonutrients that have powerful health benefits. Due to the anti-inflammatory effects ginger can provide, it can be quite helpful as an arthritis treatment. Ginger specifically contains chemicals that provide excellent anti-inflammatory benefits, making it helpful for those suffering from arthritis pain. Another great spice for arthritis is turmeric, again due to its anti-inflammatory effects and powerful phytonutrients. 2. Cherries can also be helpful in treating arthritis and its symptoms. This is because cherries are a great source of anthocyanins. These are powerful antioxidants that work to help reduce inflammation by inhibiting the production of inflammatory chemicals. Especially helpful for those individuals with arthritis, they promote the health of connective tissue and help to eliminate free radicals through out the entire body that irritate body tissue and cause inflammation. If not a fan of cherries, you can also get these compounds from blueberries and blackberries. 3. Grapefruit and oranges can also be great to fight against arthritis and treat the symptoms associated with it. This is because they are great sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a vital role in the health of collagen, a major component of our cartilage. Healthy collagen levels can help to improve the health and quality of our joints and tissues. As well, research has indicated that individuals who have low levels of vitamin C may be at greater risk for developing one of the types of arthritis. 4. Green tea can also be very helpful. This is because this popular tea contain a natural antioxidant known as EGCG in its abbreviated form. There are studies that suggest that EGCG works to reduce and stop the production of unwanted inflammatory chemicals in the body, even those that are involved in arthritis. As well, there is some research that suggests EGCG and other catechins in green tea can even prevent cartilage from breaking down and help to preserve our joints. 5. Olive oil can also help in the prevention and treatment of arthritis. As we have mentioned in other videos, olive oil is packed with healthy monounsaturated fats. In addition to these healthy fats, it also contains a natural compound known as oleocanthal, which may work to help prevent arthritis related inflammation in the body. When choosing olive oil, try to choose extra virgin olive oil, as this type has the highest amount of antioxidants which can also help to reduce inflammation and the more oleocanthal there is likely to be. 6. Lastly, foods such as salmon can also be beneficial for arthritis. This is because salmon contains high amounts of healthy omega-3 fats. Omega-3s work to decrease inflammation in the body by working to suppress the production of enzymes that erode and damage cartilage. There are studies that also show that omega-3 fish oil can reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, specifically reducing symptoms of joint stiffness and swelling, pain and fatigue. If you don’t eat salmon or do not enjoy its taste, you could also consume flaxseeds, chia seeds or walnuts for their omega-3 fats. In addition to adding these foods to your diet, you should also consult your medical practitioner for further treatment if you are experiencing any arthritis related symptoms. Vitamin D… what’s the real scoop when it comes to arthritis… next Vitamin D As Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis Deborah Mitchell writing in EMax Health reported a high dose of vitamin D taken by people who have rheumatoid arthritis and vitamin D deficiency can result in a significant improvement in their symptoms within a short time.

My experience using Tramadol for Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain. Although this medication works pretty well for me, one drawback that I forgot to mention is that it takes over an hour to kick in, and really two hours before it reaches its full effect. This is another reason I take it first thing in the morning. If I wake up much earlier than I plan to get up, I will take 100mg and go back to sleep. This way it is working by the time I get up.
