Arthritis is caused by the consumption of grains and dairy that cause leaky gut syndrome and inflammation of the joints. By avoiding Grains and Dairy your body is giving the environment to heal and finally fix arthritis forever! The Gut Connection to Rheumatoid Arthritis The purpose of the gastrointestinal tract (gut) is multi-fold. 1. It digests food into small easily absorbed particles, absorbs small food particles to then be converted into energy,attaches nutrients like vitamins and minerals to carrier proteins which then transport them across the gut lining into the bloodstream, detoxifies the chemicals we daily imbibe through our air, food and water, as it contains a major part of the chemical detoxification system of the body which protects us from cancer and all other diseases, and fights off infection,as it contains over half of the immune system which synthesizes immuno-globulins or antibodies that act as the first line of defence against infection, cancer and other diseases. The leaky gut syndrome is an extremely common problem, yet is seldom tested for. Remember this: if the gut is not totally healthy, you have no chance of healing anything else, regardless of the label on your condition. It doesn't matter what type of chronic pain you have, or if you have high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, prostatitis, cancer, or merely accelerated aging. You are stuck until the gut is healed. The leaky or hyperpermeable intestinal lining places a major burden on the body's ability to absorb amino acids, essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins. It would appear that nutrients could simply slip right on into the gut. Sadly the opposite is true. For in order for the body to absorb a mineral, a carrier protein must be attached. This protein must hook onto the mineral that actively carries it across the gut wall into the bloodstream. But when the bowel lining is damaged through inflammation the nutrient carrier proteins get damaged. In addition, the finger-like projections that line the gut and allow us to absorb food gets damaged. When these get destroyed, the result is malabsorption. That’s the consensus of a new study published in the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. The randomized, open-label study involved 150 adults who with rheumatoid arthritis who had been taking disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) for a mean of more than three years. At the beginning of the study, nearly half (49%, 73 individuals) were found to be deficient in vitamin D. The participants were given 60,000 IU vitamin D per week for six weeks, followed by 60,000 IU per month for a total duration of three months. Investigators evaluated vitamin D levels and disease activity among 59 (80.8%) of the vitamin D deficient patients who completed the 12 weeks of treatment and observed the following: • Significant improvement in disease activity score • Significant improvement in serum vitamin D levels from a mean of 10.05 ng/mL to 57.21 ng/mL. IN CASE OF JOINT PAIN, AVOID THESE: RED AND PROCESSED MEAT Both have chemical purine and nitrite that make pain and inflammation worse. These foods also have toxins called glycation end products AGEs and they make inflammation more serious. A 2014 study of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences said that red meat glycan develops more inflammation and progress of cancer. Another study of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition made a link between red meat and inflammation markers. Replace the red processed meat with veggies and fruits. SUGARS AND ARTIFICIAL SWEETS. Too much sugar makes more AGEs and inflammation. Sugar triggers cytokines, the inflammation agent triggers. Also, the sugar causes weight gain and pressure on every joint. Also, avoid sodas and sweet drinks. A study of 2014, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition said regularly eating these things makes rheumatoid arthritis in women. Avoid the sodas, sweets, cereals with sugar, snacks, punches, pastries and candies. As healthy options consider stevia, honey or molasses. DAIRY. They worsen the pain because they have high amount of the protein causer of inflammation. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine said this same protein also irritates surrounding joint tissue. That pain is also linked to saturated fats in dairy (cheese, milk, butter). Replace the pasteurized milk with almond, soy milk, tofu, margarine or similar. CORN OIL. This oil is full of omega 6 acids that are harmful for us. The Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism stated in one study that more omega 6 acids make more inflammation. Such foods are salad dressings, grapeseed and safflower oil, peanut, soy. Do not remove the omega 6 fully, it is still needed but in moderation. Eat more omega 3 acids of olive oil, flaxseed, nuts and pumpkin seeds. GRAINS AND REFINED FLOUR. Due to high glycemic index they trigger more AGEs and inflammation. Nutrients study published that daily eating wheat items and grain cereals can develop autoimmune diseases chronically. Such grains have little B vitamin and have empty calories. Eating them daily means more risk of diseases like heart issues, diabetes and even cancer. Replace the pasta, white flour, white rice, white bread with coconut/almond/whole grain/brown rice. EGGS. Eating them regularly means more pain and swelling in joints. The yolk in the egg makes inflammation since it has arachidonic acid that makes prostaglandins (causers of inflammation). They also have saturated fats, harmful too. For breakfast, at least remove the yolk and have just the whites. WHEY PROTEINS. The casein and gluten make the inflammation serious. The casein makes uric acid inside us. Too much of this acid inflames the joints and other parts too. This is called gout and can be serious up to the point of damage to the joints. Those sensitive to gluten foods can have chronic problem with this. A study of the Journal Nutrition Biochemistry, 2013, was said gluten free foods aid in inflammation reducing, adiposity and insulin resistance. Opt for the healthy options like lean proteins (beans, seeds, nuts) and less whey. REFINED SALT. This is the table salt we use daily. It is full of additives and chemicals that impair fluid balance inside us. Also, this salt has no natural minerals like phosphorus or silicon. Limit this salt use and you will keep all the calcium needed for healthy bones, against fractures or osteoporosis even. Eat it in minimal doses or buy Himalayan pink salt or sea salt. Also, avoid junk food – it is too salty. MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE FOODS. The MSG additive makes better flavor in store bought foods like frozen snacks, chips, frozen dinner, Chinese food, salad dressing and soups. It is especially bad for those with rheumatoid arthritis. Eat fresh and natural, homemade foods. Avoid the aspartame foods too, like artificial sweeteners. BEER. Too much alcohol impacts the joints first. Those having beer often and too much, have worse joint health. the purines of it turn to uric acid and this inflames the joints. Beer also has gluten in it and those with fragile joints must avoid it all the time.

My experience using Tramadol for Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain. Although this medication works pretty well for me, one drawback that I forgot to mention is that it takes over an hour to kick in, and really two hours before it reaches its full effect. Rheumatoid Arthritis flares can happen gradually or overnight, and are not experienced by every patient in the same capacity. Flares can produce severe joint pain and stiffness, as well as feelings of uneasiness, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, and depression. Learning what triggers your RA flares can be beneficial to lessening or preventing future flares. While cold and damp weather may act as a trigger for a flare, sunlight and vitamin D could work positively against a flare. Dr. Doghrami recommends getting 5 to 10 minutes of sun at least 3 days a week. Exercising and staying flexible can also alleviate the symptoms of RA flares, but you should talk to your doctor before engaging in a new fitness regimen, as overexertion during a flare can be more harmful than helpful. A balanced diet is key to a healthy life. Claims about dairy and gluten triggering RA flares should not impact your elimination of those foods from your diet, as only 1 in 3 RA patients experience difficulty with dairy and gluten. Talk to your doctor about testing if you think that certain foods may be acting as a trigger for your RA flares.
