You will get almost immediate but temporary relief. I was so luck I knew about this solution when I had my own emergency, the day my BP shot way too high. A megadose of a supplement I took (Vit B12) backfired. If you're ever in such a quandary, what do you do - call your doctor, go to the ER? Yes, please do that. For me, I soaked my feet in warm water. You don't need to add add anything to the water. Just plain hot tap water will do. Nothing fancy. It's the heating of the feet that does it. Why does it work? I don't know. It's a curious physiological reaction you can use to your own advantage. I made this video because if ever you need to know how to lower your blood pressure quickly, this is one natural, quick and easy solution. My BP was dropped from about 170/100 down to 140/80, rising a bit thereafter, but not as high as it was before the feet soaking treatment. What a RELIEF!!! Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is unfortunately a common problem throughout the U.S. It is a very serious condition that, if untreated, can lead to heart attacks, kidney failure and strokes. A blood pressure reading is considered high if it goes over 140/90. There are many factors that can contribute to high blood pressure, including: obesity, excessive drinking, stress, birth control pills, kidney disease, adrenal disease and genetic factors. While there are many prescription drugs that help to lower blood pressure, it can also be treated with all-natural remedies. Today’s video will discuss ten home remedies to lower blood pressure. 1. Watermelon Seeds Watermelon seeds contain cucurbocitrin, which is a compound that helps to widen blood capillaries and improve kidney function. In 2010, Florida State conducted a study that showed watermelon can help to lower blood pressure readings. 2. Lemons Lemons remove the rigid nature of the blood vessels and leave them soft and flexible. This, in turn, lowers the blood pressure level. Consuming lemon juice regularly also lowers the change of heart failure because of the high levels of Vitamin C. 3. Bananas Bananas can help to control blood pressure, when consumed on a regular basis. This is because of the high levels of potassium in the bananas that help to lessen the effects of sodium on the body. 4. Garlic Raw and cooked garlic can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing the body’s production of nitric oxide and hydrogen sulphide. Cayenne Pepper Cayenne pepper prevents platelets from sticking together and therefore, allows blood to flow more efficiently. Simply add cayenne pepper to fruit or vegetable salads, as well as in the dishes that you cook. A little cayenne pepper goes a long way, so just a pinch will do. 9. Fenugreek Seeds Fenugreek seeds contain potassium and fiber that helps to control blood pressure. To use, boil one or two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in water for about two minutes and then strain. Place the seeds into a blender and mix into a paste. Consume the paste twice a day, once in the morning on an empty stomach and once in the evening. Use this remedy for two to three months for best results. 10. Honey Honey calms the blood vessels in the body and lowers blood pressure. Simply consume two teaspoons of honey on an empty stomach each morning. Also, you can mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of ginger juice and two teaspoons of cumin seed powder. This is because the foods we eat can affect are blood pressure either positively or negatively. Having high blood pressure can also increase the risk of having other health complications, such as stroke and heart disease. When it comes to high blood pressure, knowing what not to eat is just as important as knowing what to eat, as some foods can elevate your blood pressure more than others. Lets discuss some foods that you should avoid if you want to be conscious of your blood pressure. 1. Processed deli and lunch meats should be avoided for high blood pressure. This is because they are high in sodium content. A diet that is high in sodium is bad for blood pressure and your heart. Sine these deli meats are often seasoned and preserved with salt to last longer, they are loaded with sodium. In only a two-ounce serving of some lunch meats, there can be as much as 600 milligrams of sodium, maybe even more, when the daily recommended is 1500 milligrams of sodium. 2. Although they may seem like a healthy choice and do contain vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, canned tomato sauced can be problematic for those with high blood pressure. Again, this is because most canned tomato sauces are packed with sodium. Just one serving of tomato sauce can include 100’s of milligrams of sodium, which can be troublesome for those individuals with high blood pressure. 3. Red meat such as fattier cuts of steak and ground beef should often be avoided by those individuals with high blood pressure. All healthy diets contain very low levels of saturated and trans-fats. When we eat foods that are high in both saturated and trans fats, it is bad for are blood vessels, heart and blood pressure. Steaks and ground beef often contain high levels of saturated and trans fats, with some steaks containing a full days worth of fat. As well, they are often loaded with sodium, which makes them even worse for our blood pressure. 4. Alcohol should also be avoided if you have high blood pressure. Consuming alcohol with actively cause your blood pressure to elevate. As well, drinking alcohol damages the walls of the blood vessels while also increasing the risks of heart and other health complications such as stroke and obesity. 5. Many individuals love and enjoy eating bacon. However, there is more than one reasons to stay away from this food if you have high blood pressure. Bacon has very few quality vitamins, minerals and nutrients for our bodies. As well, only a small serving of bacon can add a lot of fat to your daily diet. It is not rare to see well over 10 grams of fat in only a couple of sliced of bacon, with most of this fat being saturated or trans fat. Potentially life-threatening levels of high blood pressure typically are reflected in one or more of the aforementioned symptoms. Individuals who don't yet experience constant, severe blood pressure levels may not realize their condition, due to subtle or nonexistent symptoms. What symptoms do manifest may be difficult to interpret as signs of high blood pressure. Such individuals may experience an increase in headaches, for example, or have more nose bleeds. Occasionally, they may experience a faster heart rate that results in the sensation of a pounding in the chest, neck, and head. They may also experience irregular heartbeats. Without routinely checking one's blood pressure, hypertension problems might not become apparent until they reach severe levels. If for some reason a visit to a doctor is problematic, many grocery stores feature stations where individuals can check their blood pressure for free or for a nominal fee. These stations are able to give a general idea of one's blood pressure, but their readings aren't nearly as accurate as at a doctor's office. Certain demographics should be extra vigilant about detecting signs of high blood pressure. Systolic pressure measures the force of blood against the walls of the arteries as the heart beats, while diastolic pressure measures the force of blood on the walls of the arteries between heart beats, when the heart is relaxed. These two numbers are shown in sequence from top to bottom, with the systolic pressure measurement on top and the diastolic on bottom. For instance, a healthy blood pressure is 110/70, with a systolic pressure of 110 and a diastolic pressure of 70. It is now estimated that nearly one out of every three Americans has high blood pressure. Blood pressure is the measurement of how much force the flow of blood puts on the arteries. Although blood pressure rises and falls during the day depending on activity levels, eating habits and other conditions, when blood pressure regularly remains elevated, it is called high blood pressure. High blood pressure readings differ for everyone and are difficult to pin down, since our blood pressure rises and falls during the day, but a good healthy blood pressure is usually 120/80 or lower. A systolic pressure which consistently reads from 120 to 139, with a diastolic reading of 80 to 89, is considered pre-high blood pressure. Stage one hypertension is a consistent systolic reading of 140 to 159, with a diastolic reading of 90 to 99. Stage two is anything consistently over 160/100. When the blood pressure is high, it forces the heart to work harder than it should. The extra force of blood against the walls of the arteries can cause the arteries to harden. Also known as "the silent killer," this condition can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure or blindness. However, there are rarely any symptoms; the only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have it checked. Blood pressure readings should always be viewed in regard to other conditions which may cause a temporary rise, including stress, fear, anger, fatigue, and anxiety at being in a doctor's office. High blood pressure can also be caused by cardiovascular and kidney disorders, neurological conditions, pre-eclampsia in pregnancy, and various medications. Hypertension does not discriminate; anyone can develop it, regardless of age, race or gender. The good news is that this condition can be treated and prevented. While there are many medications designed to lower blood pressure, there are also lifestyle changes which can help. Losing weight, exercise, a healthy low-fat diet, and consuming less sodium and alcohol will contribute to lowering high blood pressure.
