How Does Cancer Affect Your Sex Life? | Psychology of Sex

It is that not only is the diagnosis and the treatment of cancer so difficult in and of itself, but it can often really change how you feel about your body and ultimately have significant sexual side effects. That may be due to chemotherapy or radiation or surgery depending on your cancer site. And I certainly can appreciate that you may be new to a diagnosis, undergoing treatment, or years into survival. Intimacy and physical connection with a partner is something you can have regardless of the treatment that you've been through. It's really an opportunity to reconnect with your body and explore new ways to feel pleasure that even when and if perhaps you no longer are experiencing orgasms or you're finding that you are not responsive physically sexually in terms of sensation. Perhaps you no longer can achieve erections or you've gone through menopause because of treatment. All of those may be true but the ability to still feel pleasurable sensual touch is something that we all get to experience. So I am inviting you and your partner to really take it slow and pace resumption of your physical intimacy. And use lots of words like 'I really like it when' and just explore the kinds of sensations and touch that give you both pleasure and ultimately in time you are going to resume a sex life that will be mutually satisfying.

Men who had 5 oral sex partners have highest cancer risk

06:39
Men who have performed oral sex on five or more partners have the highest risk of HPV-related head and neck cancer, a new study shows. While the current rate of diagnoses is low - affecting just 0.7 percent of the male population - researchers at Johns Hopkins warned men may not be aware that they have a far higher risk than women, especially if they smoke. The study, released today, is the latest piece of evidence to show that boys do need the HPV vaccine as much as girls - and in some cases it is more pressing for males. When the vaccine was first rolled out, it was only provided to teenage girls to protect them from HPV-related cervical cancer. But data suggest the incidence of oropharyngeal cancer will overtake cervical cancer in the US by 2020 - and sexually active men have a high risk. There are over 100 different kinds of HPV but only a few are known to cause cancer.HPV strains 16 and 18 are already known to trigger most cervical cancer, and HPV16 also causes most oropharyngeal cancer. But the new paper, published in the leading cancer journal Annals of Oncology, says we now need to go a step further: we could better curb the rate of HPV-related cancers if we identify who is most at-risk and why.'For these reasons, it would be useful to be able to identify healthy people who are most at risk of developing oropharyngeal cancer in order to inform potential screening strategies, if effective screening tests could be developed,' said lead author Dr Amber D'Souza, associate professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.'Most people perform oral sex in their lives, and we found that oral infection with cancer-causing HPV was rare among women regardless of how many oral sex partners they had.'Among men who did not smoke, cancer-causing oral HPV was rare among everyone who had less than five oral sex partners, although the chances of having oral HPV infection did increase with number of oral sexual partners, and with smoking.'The researchers analyzed data on 13,089 people between the ages of 20 and 69 who were part of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) and had been tested for oral HPV.They then compared those data with federal figures on oropharyngeal cancer diagnoses and deaths to predict the risk of cancer from oral HPV.They also specifically investigated the numbers of new cases of oropharyngeal squamous cell cancer (OSCC) - the commonest type of oropharyngeal cancer. The researchers found that women had a low risk of oral HPV infection from oral sex in general - regardless of their number of sexual partners. Those who'd had one or no oral sex partners had the lowest rate of cancer-causing oral HPV - affecting 1.8 percent of smokers and 0.5 percent of non-smokers.If women had had two or more oral sex partners in their lifetime, the rate of infection increased slightly to 1.5 percent.Among men, the lowest risk group were non-smokers who had never had oral sex, with a rate of 1.5 percent.Prevalence rose to 4 percent among male non-smokers with two to four oral sex partners. For men who smoked and had two to four oral sex partners, the rate was 7.1 percent. It was even higher among non-smoking men who had five or more oral sex partners (7.4 percent). The prevalence of infection was highest (15 percent) among men who smoked and had five or more oral sex partners.Dr Carole Fakhry, associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - head and neck surgery - who co-authored the study, said: 'Currently there are no tests that could be used for screening people for oropharyngeal cancer.'It is a rare cancer and for most healthy people the harms of screening for it would outweigh the benefits because of the problem of false positive test results and consequent anxiety.'Our research shows that identifying those who have oral HPV infection does not predict their future risk of cancer well, and so screening based on detecting cancer-causing oral HPV infection would be challenging.'However, we are carrying out further research of oral HPV infection in young healthy men to explore this further.'Other research is being done on different biological markers and it is possible some of them could be used for oropharyngeal cancer screening in the future in some people.'For example, they might be useful in men but not in women given their lower cancer risk.'Some studies suggest people who have antibodies against cancer-causing types of HPV have an increased risk of HPV-related cancer, but these antibodies are very rare.'Therefore, it is not yet clear whether they will be useful for screening. Presently, these tests are not commercially available, and are still in research labs only.

Women Absorb And Retain DNA From Every Man They Have Sex With

04:31
OUR WEBSITE : http://justhealthrelated.com/ Women Absorb And Retain DNA From Every Man They Have Sex With Women retain and carry living DNA from every man with whom they have sexual intercourse, according to a new study by the University of Seattle and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The study, which discovered the startling information by accident, was originally trying to determine if women who have been pregnant with a son might be more predisposed to certain neurological diseases that occur more frequently in males. But as the scientists picked apart the female brain, the study began to veer wildly off course. As it turns out, the female brain is even more mysterious than we previously thought. The study found that female brains often harbor “male microchimerism“, or in other words, the presence of male DNA that originated from another individual, and are genetically distinct from the cells that make up the rest of the woman. According to the study: “63% of the females (37 of 59) tested harbored male microchimerism in the brain. Male microchimerism was present in multiple brain regions.” So 63% of women carry male DNA cells that live in their brains. Obviously the researchers wanted to know where the male DNA came from. Anyone care to guess? From the women’s fathers? No. Your father’s DNA combines with your mother’s to create your unique DNA. So where else could it come from? Through the study the researchers assumed that the most likely answer was that all male DNA found living in the female brain came from a male pregnancy. That was the safe, politically correct assumption. But these researchers were living in denial. Because when they autopsied the brains of women who had never even been pregnant, let alone with a male child, they STILL found male DNA cells prevalent in the female brain. At this point the scientists didn’t know what the hell was going on. Confused, they did their best to hide the evidence until they could understand and explain it. They buried it in numerous sub studies and articles, but if you sift through them all you will find the damning statement, the one line that gives the game away and explains exactly where these male DNA cells come from. What are they so afraid of? “CONCLUSIONS: Male microchimerism was not infrequent in women without sons. Besides known pregnancies, other possible sources of male microchimerism include unrecognized spontaneous abortion, vanished male twin, an older brother transferred by the maternal circulation, or SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. Male microchimerism was significantly more frequent and levels were higher in women with induced abortion than in women with other pregnancy histories. Further studies are needed to determine specific origins of male microchimerism in women.“ So according to the scientists, the possible sources of the male DNA cells living in the women’s brains are: an abortion the woman didn’t know about a male twin that vanished an older brother transferred by the maternal circulation sexual intercourse Considering the fact that 63% of women have male DNA cells residing in the recesses of their brain, which of the above possibilities do you think is the most likely origin of the male DNA? The first three options apply to a very small percentage of women. They couldn’t possibly account for the 63% figure. The fourth option? It’s rather more common. The answer is 4. Sex. This has very important ramifications for women. Every male you absorb spermatazoa from becomes a living part of you for life. The women autopsied in this study were elderly. Some had been carrying the living male DNA inside them for well over 50 years. Sperm is alive. It is living cells. When it is injected into you it swims and swims until it crashes headlong into a wall, and then it attaches and burrows into your flesh. If it’s in your mouth it swims and climbs into your nasal passages, inner ear, and behind your eyes. Then it digs in. It enters your blood stream and collects in your brain and spine. Like something out of a scifi movie, it becomes a part of you and you can’t get rid of it. The Mars will tell you what a person desires and how they go after it. Some people like it a certain way, a certain amount of time, in a certain place and some don't...it's good to know these things in advance. To find the Mars, look up the birth chart here: http://alabe.com/freechart/ Enter birth info and then locate Mars on the chart. Make a note of the zodiac sign and the house the mars falls into....and then let the magical sexy chemistry begin. You'll have to combine the Zodiac Sign of the Mars and the House it falls into, so read the descriptions for both the Sign of the Mars and the House location...then combine the two symbolisms. Or inbox me and I can help you! How the Mars is ignited: Fire Signs & Fire Houses Aries & 1st House: they love a chase and a rough romp, but usually get distracted Taurus & 2nd House: beauty and sexy bodies being used in lusty, overt ways Gemini & 3rd House: Flirty, playful conversation and sharing ideas, turned on by words (ie sexting, dirty talk, stories etc) Cancer & 4th House: When you take the lead, they enjoy a dominant partner with a gentle touch Leo & 5th House: bold, confident partners catch their attention, tell them how gorgeous they are Virgo & 6th House: let them know that you need them to take care of you in the bedroom, not very aggressive so you may have to do the chasing Libra & 7th House: lady in the street but a freak in the bed Scorpio & 8th House: a highly sexed Mars, but to really turn them on they need to feel like you have a mystery only they can solve Sagittarius & 9th House: be spontaneous, playful, up for anything....also love a natural girl/guy next door Capricorn & 10th House: this is a very picky Mars, they like serious, older partners or dominant partners...if you feel important to the Mars in Capricorn, you're gold Aquarius & 11th House: the mind, attracted to intellect, can separate sex from emotion and many times engage in casual sexual relationships Pisces & 12th House: attracted to soulful creatures, not overt sexuality, may try to escape from sex in a relationship

Breaking News - Men who had 5 oral sex partners have highest cancer risk

08:25
The prevalence of infection was highest (15 percent) among men who smoked and had five or more oral sex partners.Dr Carole Fakhry, associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - head and neck surgery - who co-authored the study, said: 'Currently 1

How Does Breast Cancer Affect Intimacy and Sex?

05:38
Psychologist and author Dr. Dan Shapiro addresses some of the intimacy issues couples experience after breast cancer. He explains that many couples show love and affections by the little things they do. It may be helping around the house or taking the kids, etc. But as he explains, many women aren't able to do those things anymore when they're dealing with cancer. Couples have to learn how to express their love in a new way. "We need to go back to how we were early on, and express our affection for one another," he says. 08:20
Living with Gynaecological Cancer A resource for Women and their families living with the impact of gynaecological cancer. Part 3.3 - Fertility, Menopause and Sexual Issue - Intimate & Sexual Relationships Sexual issues after gynaecological cancer can be a common difficulty for women and are attributed to various factors. These include physical changes as a result of treatment that have affected sexual functions, psychological factors where women may see themselves differently due to a changed perception of body image or a sense of lost femininity, or purely that a woman is afraid to discuss how they are feeling with their partners. Cancer doesn't have to have a bearing on your intimate and sexual relationships; often communication from both partners can help immensely and take any pressure away from both partners.

कैंसर से सेक्स जीवन पर असर - How Cancer Affects Your Sex Life In Hindi

02:56
कैंसर से सेक्स जीवन पर असर - How Cancer Affects Your Sex Life In Hindi Not everyone who has cancer will have changes in sexual desire or how they feel about themselves sexually. You may not notice any changes at all. But you may find that the changes cancer causes to your body image affect the way you feel about yourself and having sex. Some people lose interest in sex and feel very tired. But some people say that they want to make love more than usual. If you are in a relationship, a crisis can sometimes bring couples very close together. Because we’re all so different and have different sexual needs, it’s impossible to say exactly how cancer will affect each person’s sexuality and sex life. Some types of cancer and their treatment affect your ability or desire to have sex more than others. If you are already in a loving relationship your concerns may be different than for someone who is single. If your feelings about your body and having sex change during your cancer treatment, it doesn’t mean that it will last forever. If you are able to talk to your partner, doctor or nurses about your worries it can ease them. And they may be able to suggest ways to help improve any problems you’re having.

Preventing prostate cancer: Canadian research says men should have more sex

00:51
Canadian researchers have been working with 3,200 men for the past 4 years to study the relationship between number of sex partners and prostate cancer. Apparently, sleeping around is healthier for men’s butt clitorises. Let’s throw some numbers at it, shall we? Results show that men with 20 or more female partners are 28% less likely to develop prostate cancer. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to apply to promiscuous gay men and the theory is that it may be due to the trauma the prostate suffers during anal sex. It seems that an increase in orgasms may keep the prostate healthy and less prone to developing cancer. So if you’re worried about prostate cancer make sure that your left hand gets plenty of exercise. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Download from iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/itunes-u/renewed-sexual-pleasure-for/id431848216?i=98342531 Erectile dysfunction is an adverse side effect for many prostate cancer patients that often causes unhappiness for the man's partner as well. Leslie Schover, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Behavioral Science at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, has recently completed a clinical trial studying the effectiveness of counseling through face-to-face interaction versus counseling using the Internet only. The study, called Counseling About Regaining Erections and Sexual Satisfaction (CAREss), not only counseled the patient but also the female counterpart with the goal of both partners finding satisfaction through their sexual interaction. Dr. Schover discusses the trial, explains what is next, and offers advice on sexual fulfillment for couples dealing with cancer.
