Can you discuss Guanfacine and ADHD in kids or something along those lines? my 8 year old son takes this and I'm afraid of what he will have to try, if\when that stops working. Also, I really love your videos. Honesty and facts. It's sad that these two extremely important things are so hard to find these days. Thank you.

Agreed, assuming irreversible and permanent cation diode bridging between both neuronal nodes could occur and retain perfect dielectric isolation, which of course is impossible - even random cellular oxidation would nullify any charge gate over time.

So you are saying negative feedback mechinisms make sure the dopamine levels reach equilibruim yet it will not do it once more off ritalin leading to chronically low dopamine levels ......wrong. But cool videos though.

Thank you for your two videos. For someone who uses Concerta, a methylphenidate based product, it is sad to know these effects occur. However, its difficult to stop the drug because of how difficult life is when your brain seems to work chemically different to others. Can I ask if you have any theories or thoughts on how those effects of methylphendiate could be mitigated against to some extent? Anything shared would definitely be welcomed!

I have a few questions... i have real bad ADHD and im taking Methylphenidate and it seems to help focus at work but im worried about whats going to happen later on, i need the concentration or else i will no longer be able to work and end up on the streets, is there other types of medication i could take that has reduced long term effects and still provide a solution for my concentration and when you say long term, how long do you mean? 1 yeah, 2 years or a period or 10 years? Does it affect everyone the same way?

All true, is this explained for kids or the parents ?

i have ADHD and the horse in the background isn't helping
How does one minimize the adverse effects of chronic use of methylphenidate? Holidays? I take it as prescribed, my psychiatrist insists that taking it as prescribed hold no danger.

nice expanation. I'm currently looking for a treatment like adderall or ritalin, but I've found none without some kind of neurotoxicity. it's for poor concentration, cognition, memory, motivation, confusion. in short, brain fog with a feeling of exhaustion, which is only worse with mental or physical exertion. probably myalgic encephalomyelitis. I feel like I'm out of options. know any good substitutes to help me feel sharp, driven, and alive just like adderall would?
Brian Pollard (1 год назад)
Pumpkin Pie try Asian ginseng. It isn't super powerful but it can have profound effects on some people. Make sure you take it correctly, also, get enough sleep. So many people get diagnosed as having ADHD and get put on meds because they only get like 5 hours of sleep a night. Surprise, they improve (albeit temporarily) from the amphetamine class stimulant so the doctor assumes he was correct. We live in a messed up world. I haven't been able to find anything really definitive on whether or not ADHD medications are unsafe long term in people with ADHD.

intraperitoneal injections of methylphenidate (2.0 mg/kg) - quite a dose and using an efficent route of administration.
yolo brent (2 года назад)
also could you compare concerta to adderall????? or levomethyphenidate to dexmethlphenidate?????
Cognitively Advanced Zygote (2 года назад)
Concerta is basically the same as methylphenidate it's like comparing Adderall to Vyvanse.

i really enjoy your videos ive researched stimulant medications for over 6 years now and when i watch your videos you break it down to exactly what ive read on various other websites i was curious if u could do these kinda reviews on vitamins such as fish oil or vitamin d ect... also i take lithium carbonate maybe u could explain how that effects the brain my doc said it promotes cell growth also ive noticed a big improvement in memory since i started taking it. awesome videos keep them coming.

Long term usage is very bad and also what I consider to be a misuse of the medication. Short term usage like 3 months should also be accompanied by the patient learning about the neurobiological effects of exercise, since exercise causes the release of endogenous amphetamine, which can be a natural mechanism one uses to iron our cognitive defects after the MPH does its job.
Brian Pollard (1 год назад)
James Brophy you mean phenethylamine, not amphetamine? Because to my knowledge amphetamine is not naturally present in the body. There have been studies saying exercise helps with ADHD
Mike Hunt (2 года назад)
Can long term use of dexamphetamine lead to negative/ similar effects?
Sons of Apollo (2 года назад)
+Mike Hunt Absolutely, I made a video on my old channel about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEwCWn4WquA

+Magi Cruz it depends on what you take I guess I used to take medikinet 30 mg and that was the highest doses for that specific ADHD it also works for around 7~9 hours. I used it since I was 10 and now I have really bad sleeping problems I now take Ritalin which works les long but still severely screwed up my sleeping I now need to take sleeping pills but it's becoming better now but I've you stared using any ADHD drugs recently I recommend you just stop the long term effects are not worth it also I'm using it again because it makes my anxieties less of a burden but still just don't take it seriously also sorry for the bad English I'm Dutch btw
Kyuhyun (2 года назад)
+Sons of Apollo I will Jeje when I remember them... But is 25 mg a lot?
Sons of Apollo (2 года назад)
+Magi Cruz Your welcome! Let me know if you have any other questions that I may be able to answer.
