Looking to sell your car but a few small scratches are preventing you from getting top dollar? Or maybe, a close encounter with a shopping cart or city driving has left a few scars on your road warrior.
No matter how they get there, scratches in your paint can be an eyesore so many of you have been asking me for a simple way to get rid of them that's inexpensive and suitable for a beginner.
I scoured the auto parts stores to find the easiest kit possible so let's see if it passes the test!

Not sure why on earth you didn’t wet sand, probably wouldn’t of unpacked the buffer pads on the ground mainly to stop getting dirt on them, and if your going to cover your number plate, cover it for the complete video,
Typical, she talk a lot then doing actual work, she took 11:57 min video, If a man does this then it’s only take max 3-4 min video .
Even though the pay gap is a mith , if it’s true don’t you want to pay the man slightly higher or more higher for finishing the job quicker and effective.
Woooowoooo...great....i tryed to do that on my silver car with sanding foam...and polish..and wax....but with hands...and it has now fogy color that i can't remove now...what can i do to make it shiny again...? Thanks
After saying you never want to do this on a dirty car she proceeds to put the polishing pad on the floor to pick up grit
How can anyone take advice from this vid
Get someone who knows what they are doing to do the job next time and not someone who has a pretty face
some scratches are not going to affect the sale of the car. No one gives a shit about that anymore. 95% of owners don't even apply polish anymore. No one has the time for that shit. Just make sure the inside of your car is not a shit pit and it will sell fine. Get rid of carpet stains and wipe the dust off.
aahhahahahahaha she fucking it up...ok not so much but you can compare before and after and its a little bit hazed, idk I just cant stop laughing when she says "and look at that..."
At that point anyone who has done this before will see a difference instantly.
You didn't even clay bar the area first? Then you didn't wet-sand to keep any loose contaminants away from the paint? Then your sanding area wasn't reasonably faded out slightly further? How much did you pay the body shop to respray the section a month later?
Getting ready to trade in my car and had a spot just like this. Thank you so much for the great video! Only criticism is a link to the product used would be nice (not too hard to pause the video and see the label tho, lol).
I wish they were a sponsor but I bought that kit at my local Advance Auto. My goal was to try and find something that came together and I thought would work for a beginner rather than buying all the items separately. The sand paper was a little small but it worked for simple scratches.
You seriously messed your car up. Bwahaha. I can't believe you just did that. You went all the way down to the paint because you didn't wet your sand paper. Either way, you should have used more fine grit paper.
