And I thought I had problems!! Lol!! Smoking, drinking, working too much. At least I can and do get a hearty laugh everyday. Even if it's at my expense!! My supervisor called me a dumbass and I screamed out laughing!! Lol!! 4-22-2018
you always say "try", which means you'll never do it. "try to diet, try to workout, try to fix teeth...". PICK something and start..see a therapist if needed..you have no responsibilities, go get some.
Life is a mystery to unravel it you have to live it. Experience everything the highs the lows, the ups the downs, the love the hate the joy. Don’t like giving advice but you have to meditate clear your mind, later dude
A friend of mine suggested studying philosophy when I went through a hard time. It really works wonders. Otherwise I try and travel often, even if its the next town over. The place where you are in the world MATTERS. It subconsciously affects your mood, diet, and lifestyle. Maybe get into music, foreign languages, or investing. Surely you have a goal somehow.
You mentioned that you prayed. What did you pray? That could have something to do with why you aren't getting answers. I don't know if you remember I offered to help you a few years ago. I'm still praying for you and I'm still around here.
Honestly man, you have to start doing something. Time is running by and you're not gonna get any younger. You have two options, either you completely resign on your life and do nothing (like you're doing now), in which case there is no point in even being alive, or you finally get up and work on yourself and your life. Whether you believe in afterlife or not (I do), the fact is we only have this one life on Earth and it's up to you what you do with it.
Everybody has baggage from the past, which they have to deal with. Don't think you're the only one with limitations. But that cannot be an excuse for apathy. Because like I said, this is your only chance to have a meaningful life. So pick one or two aspects of your life you want to improve and start working on it right now. I don't want to sound mean. But I also don't want to see you waste any more of your life by making excuses and being bitter.
Please do realize that miracles don't happen in real life. Nothing is just going to fall in your lap from heaven. If you want to get fit and healthy, you have to exercise, fix your teeth, eat better etc. If you want to be socially respected and have more money, you have to get your GED, college diploma and a job. If you want to find love and have a happy life, you have to do all of the above.
But start doing it NOW! Because there is a lot of work ahead of you and you already wasted a lot of time. And please don't feel sorry for yourself and don't think the world owes you anything for your past misfortunes. Because that is your biggest enemy. I know that from my own experience. You are the only one that can change your life for the better. Nobody else. It's only up to you to decide if you want that or if you want to stay the way you are now.
This sounds like a situation in which I'd use my free healthcare and see a therapist, but I realize it isn't really an option for you, I hear it's very expensive in the US...
Not sure is stuffing yourself with anti-depressants like one of the people below advises is a good idea, but if you can't make youself do anything at all (it does sould a lot like actual diagnosable depression), it might be worth a shot. But then again, not sure if it's viable for you financially.
How about trying to contact some old friends? You were talking about acquaintances before, maybe rebuilding some old frienship and hanging out with people other than your family would help. Just a thought.
I know the feeling. You've got reasons to be depressed, but then again you know things could be a lot worse, and you've also got reasons to be thankful. The problem starts when you can't even be happy about the stuff that used to make you happy. I suspect it's mostly a chemical imbalance thing that warps your perspective on life. Don't give up! Keep moving! First advice that worked for me is perform at least one task each day, like a workout routine or just doing the dishes, to make you feel good about yourself.
Get up man! Move around! I know it's hard. Start taking trace minerals. Find your reason for living and that one thing! There are good women still, most of the loud mouthed pervs are not the majority. Im almost 7 years off benzo's after ct. and I feel you. It is so hard to motivate and keep going but you need to find a reason. Try Tianeptine, it's an antidepressant. I used it for 6 month's and it reset my brain.
