I know I’m really late to the party. I am a L1-4/5 incomplete. My pain mgmt doc suggested Ketamine infusions for the pain. I’ve done it now almost 10 times it think. I just come in every couple of months when I notice the pain getting bad again and spend a few hours getting the infusion slowly then my husband drives me home (you are out of it a bit after the infusion). The experience is pretty trippy while you are getting it, but as soon as you’re done there’s no weird feeling just tired. I go home and sleep the rest of the day. After that I get weeks of feeling better and having way more energy. My nerve pain is greatly reduced (it’s still there a little bit). I’m able to do more without the pain, and you just feel much better all around, it’s really worth a try.
God bless and thank you for sharing your story. 🙂
T12, L1 burst fracture fused from T11 to L2 (called a T10 complete but I feel my bones in my legs aching all the time) legs and bottom hurt and burn all the time. I stopped taking lyrica, baclofin, gabepentin, Percocet, I then opted to only use Cannabis. I make it into edible from (cannabis coconut oil) and take 1 ml 3-4 times daily. It helps me but unfortunately does not take it away entirely, but the prescriptions didn’t either. My neurosurgeon and general practitioner are on board and monitoring my treatment. My body is used to the Cannabis now and I don’t get all whacked out like I did on narcotics. The way I use cannabis an ounce lasts me nearly two months. Again, it helps me more than anything else, I’m just one case. Stay strong, being paralyzed is a b***.
I have gone through many diagnostic tests and yet, the health professionals can`t diagnose what caused my pains . I do have treatment that can help with the tingling and also the pain, however, this neuropathy treatment “unique jomta press” (Google it) has improved it much more it’s actually given me some movement back in my toes for the very first time in a long time. I also feel much better in general.
Morphine morphine and some more morphine and i got some anti depression pils that work on the nerves aswell... but when its cold nothing helps...cbd oils might work for some people aswell so you could try that
For my hypersensitive area, about the same area as yours just a little lower, I wear an Under Armor compression shirt under a t-shirt or at the office under dress shirts. For me, if the skin touch is not light but is firmer, it does not seem to bother me as much. The drugs would just turn me into a zombie and make me feel worse. Sometimes I go without a shirt as well in the car or at home. In any case, that's how I handle it.
Th7 with same nerve pain in same place I use back brace and it prevents contact to skin you options are limited either drugs or cannibis or a corset the squeezing of the corset helps I think it's the pressure it also helps with stability
I currently taking lyrica at night. Also, just had a procedure done called radiofrequency ablation to burn the nerves at the spinal cord. I'm only a couple of weeks out from that, and it could take a month or so to get the full effects from it.
Below the knees and in the feet. Feels like roadrash/carpet burn. I was on Lyrica for a while but my liver can't handle it. I can't wear jeans and different fabrics set it off. I tried cbd oil but it didn't help enough. I've had severe Anxiety all my life and when I do have episodes it makes the sensation 5 times worse. I've yet to find a really good method for Killing the pain.
Lyrica is a pain to get. Controlled substance and all but if you get it and don't worry about the horrible side effects, it'll bring your pain down by about 60-70 percent. It is advertised to treat diabetic nerve pain.
